As a result, my son and I had to undergo rabies vaccinations, leading to thousands of dollars in medical expenses and a very stressful experience. Now, after all of this, the company is claiming my warranty is void because I had a new roof installed and did not notify them immediately. I understand if this was their first visit and I had forgotten to tell them but this has been an ongoing issue and it feels like an excuse to avoid taking responsibility. I hired this company to eliminate a serious health and safety issue, but they have failed to do so. The service has been ineffective, and I cannot recommend this company.

I was not familiar with the company, but spent some time on the phone with one of the technicians, Rob, who gave me all the details about the services, plans & pricing on his off time! After speaking with Rob, I called the Encon office on a Wednesday and was able to schedule a visit for two days away on Friday. Rob came right on schedule and went through the entire house, checking for signs of mice, sealing up small openings that could be causing the problems and explained everything as he was doing it. Rob placed multiple bait stations in areas he suggested as an expert including some small spaces, behind appliances, the laundry room, basement, crawl space & garage. Even tho it was his first visit he did a quick spraying for bugs in the basement and walked the permittee of the house using steel wool and spray foam to seal up any open spots he saw that could be contributing to the problem. The plan I chose was the one year which was so reasonably priced I'm not sure how Encon makes any money. It includes today's visit, plus 2 more scheduled visits, PLUS as many other visits we need to deal with the mice and any other pests we encounter over the next here including pretty much ever bug imaginable (except bedbugs, mosquitos, ticks & termites which they do treat for additional fees). I initially called Fox for a mouse problem in the basement. At first, I was pleasantly surprised with the service. They worked hard to get you signed up and started, but then the problems started.... Here are my issues with this company: 1. They do not adhere to any sort of schedule. They will (maybe/hopefully) call you a half hour to an hour before arriving at your home, but they do not give you a scheduled day that you can plan for in advance that they will be in your area. Sometimes, if the technicians are running late, they won't even show up at your home even though they said they were going to! Updates throughout the day are nonexistent, and don't even bother calling the main office because they have no clue. 2. They had no problem baiting the mice IN my basement, but they did not really care about finding where the mice were actually coming in from. It felt like a band-aid on a huge wound. The problem was being managed but not properly corrected. The technicians mainly just changed the bait in the boxes and checked for dead mice (which we were doing as we caught them because we didn't want dead mice in our basement for weeks on end-who knows when the next time they were coming out was... not me!). I had to put up a major fight to get their "home inspector" to come out and do a thorough evaluation of where the mice are coming in from, and then I paid handsomely to have the exclusion service and have them remove mouse-soiled insulation from the house. 3. Contact them as soon as your contract is over or they will keep charging you on a "month-to-month basis." They should send out emails stating the contract is over and to contact them for the next steps. Terrible, terrible customer service from the corporate office. To me, honesty is the best policy for keeping customers. They got a years worth of money from me and a handsome check for the extra service I requested after becoming the Warwick office's worst nightmare, but they will not be getting a dime from me or anyone I know moving forward. The exclusion service and insulation removal came with a warranty and you best believe that they will be hearing from me if another mouse is caught in my basement. Try to stay away from this company. Worst case, realize that you have to be their project manager and that you are going to have to stay on top of them for EVERY. LITTLE. THING. Beware.

They did address my mouse and chipmunk concerns as we had some intruders recently and as well they were able to locate exact access points and see an opening in use by a chipmunk. They sealed all of our concerns beautifully and cost efficiently. As well as covering our rodent concerns, they did a spray of our house exterior for any crawling insects, which is a 3 month durability and will protect against any insects trying to crawl in. We did see a centipede recently and the ants have been out and about recently with weather warming up. As well as them spotting carpenter ants in abundance, this spray resolved any concerns about these bugs wreaking havoc for a few months at least. Overall, the quote for the original service was great but unnecessary. The work completed was under the original service price and i ended the day with no pest concerns, and as a happy customer who the company listened to, explained and pointed out direct spots and how to move forward with various solutions.
