We've been using Debug Pest for a few years. We are very happy with the quality of their technicians. Anytime I have an issue. I called them and they are at our house within a day or so. It's also a pleasure calling their service line, you get to talk to a person that actually lives locally. When we are due for a quarterly appointment, they send you a text message and an email, but if that time and date does not work, they are very flexible to change it for a time that works for you. The technicians have been helpful and very knowledgeable but we ran into an issue yesterday when a gel bait was used indoors and not included on the report afterward. We have a 4 month old puppy who is into everything and started licking/chewing the baseboards near where ants were prevalent indoors. When I called, Stephanie was less than professional and seemed annoyed that I had concerns. No matter what I said, she dismissed me, argued at every turn, and didn't apologize until I told her how frustrating the conversation had been as a concerned parent. Even then, her apology was "I'm sorry ma'am. I do understand but like I said...." She just kept reiterating "Ma'am (condescendingly) baseboard treatment is standard with all of our visits." Mind you, we've never had baseboards treated before this visit. Treatment has always been on the exterior and they've only ever iterated that kids and pets be kept indoors. Stephanie said the stuff he was putting down inside was the same as what he put outside (bifen) when I called back this morning because my puppy was vomiting and refusing food. After speaking with Jose and describing to him (as I tried to do with Stephanie) what I saw the technician use, he said it wasn't bifen but was likely gel bait (not at all what is used outside.) I was going back and forth with the vet and DeBug all morning trying to figure out how emergent the situation was and when I finally was able to speak with Jose, he helped calm my fears and let me know what the product actually was and how the call should have been handled. I do appreciate his professionalism and approach to feedback from a customer. As I told Stephanie, I was trying to work toward a solution and share my frustration as a mom of young children and dogs. I am unsure if we will be continuing service because, although Jose handled things well, Stephanie is the main point of contact it seems and needs more training or a spa day before she interacts with worried customers again. The screenshot I've included is an example of how the phone conversation went as well. Weird (inaccurate) responses and entirely missing the point of what I was asking. For what it's worth, our puppy is alive and well, eating again and no longer vomiting, so that's a relief. read more

On his initial visit, he explained to me exactly what the service would entail, and showed me in detail how and where mice were entering my home. I learned a LOT from that. He also pointed out places I would never have expected. After I decided to proceed, Charlie showed up exactly on time on both days, texting me with his ETA each time. He explained how the process worked, made recommendations and didn't try to hard sell us with any extras. He let us know what add on services were available and we made decisions based on what he told us. The price was reasonable and the service they provide goes beyond our expectations. We've dealt with other pest control companies over the years and always felt pressured by the oversell tactics they use. Not this guy. I requested a consultation of my unit (interior and exterior) due to mice and centipedes. I was told they do not help people in a multifamily home where the problem is only on one floor. I simply wanted an exterior inspection to see where the pests are coming in so my landlord can fix it. They still refused to help and refused to speak to me on several occasions. We started using Debug Pest Control this summer and have been very happy with their service and results. I don't love the idea of spraying pesticides, but we moved into our house and had a big carpenter ant and termite problem. Enter Debug! They have been great to work with and always show up when they say they will. My husband has also called them for a variety of reasons from more ants to a hornets nest. The only thing I wish they would do which they don't is remove all the spider webs from around the house. read more

We originally called Debug to take care of a hornets nest in our garden wall. We signed up for a service package to come back periodically and spray for insects and bait trap for mice. They successfully got rid of the bees nest and have been back for the second service to spray our foundation for insects and reload the bait traps. Company was engaged by our tenant for organic only ant & tick treatment. One application was done successfully, however the second application was with One-Guard and Bifen. Both substances are highly toxic to cats, dogs and birds. Bifenthrin was banned in the EU for unintended environmental consequences and possible carcinogenic effects. A big mistake. read more

We started using debug about a month ago. We had a mice/rat problem due to one my neighbors having chickens. First let me say I've never in my life dealt with any company where everyone is pleasant. I called them they sent someone to my house with in a few hours diagnosed the problem and started the treatments to rid us of this problem. After the second bait station was installed they have been to my house twice the problem is gone I believe. I have a 1 year contract which I will renew. Also the price is very affordable for what I get in return. The techs I've had at our house are in short fantastic they know exactly what there doing there pleasant informative. Beware when they offer you recurring visits, they don't explain properly. I was told that I would have a $38 charge every three months with a treatment instead I got a $38 charge every month and treatments supposedly to be quarterly. They say they're giving you $100 discount at the very beginning if you sign on for this it's totally not worth it and very deceiving not happy will not use them again. read more
