I have the quarterly plan. It's well worth the $130 my Neighboorhood is full of mice which is so annoying, and guardians always keeps my bait stations full and they even check all my traps. A few times I've smelled a mouse and I find their traps are easy to locate, vs the previous company I used which was like a game of his and seek and. I couldn't ever locate the traps. We have had Mike come the last few times and he's a really kind sweet guy who goes over everything in detail and honestly I think he goes above and beyond. The service also includes spraying for ants and stink bugs and I have significantly seen less of them inside since we started with them. Honestly I'm very happy, they're easy to get in touch with and reschedule and they let you know when they're on the way. Highly recommend. read more

I used Guardian back in November 2025. The first time they showed up, they were actually early and thorough with their process.. They scheduled another appointment about a week or two after. The technician was supposed to show up anywhere from 9 to 11 AM but did not show until after 12:30 PM. I used PTO time that equates to over $150 at my work that is now lost due to Guardians error. All I received was a "sorry" from their call center. If Im running a company and there was an error on behalf of the company. I would do better than just a sorry. If the shoe was on the other foot, then I would've been out money. I take it professionalism is a thing of the past. read more

I ordered service from these clowns. The day of the appointment, the tech never showed . He sent a text to management an hour after he was supposed to be here stating he was sick and could not show. Guardian had no back up person to come in his steed. The second time was a reschedule for a week later. Again no one showed and to boot no notification was given from them. On the bottom of their contract paper depicting prep instructions there is a clause, " If you do not cancel at least 24 hours ahead of the appt, you will be charged a non-refundable 50.00". But what does the client get for no shows? Now almost a month after the initial request for service, I found a notice upon my door that they will be coming to treat my apt. But I had enough of the no shows and it is a lot of work to empty out all closets, cabinets, drawers, etc, to risk another no show. If I had my way, they would be shut down or at least sanctioned for the no shows. read more

Today we received an outstanding service on our residential community from John. Upon entering the management office John arrived with a friendly and professional demeanor. After introducing himself and the company he went over expectations for the day and the treatment plan that would be most effective for our community of 175 units, in great detail. John serviced 15 units efficiently and communicated well with residents about their upcoming treatments. Once the service had been completed and John surveyed for trap boxes around the perimeter of the community, he returned to the office promptly to wrap up his service notes. We ended up with bed bugs and our landlord hired Guardian Pest Control to exterminate. Patrick was great!!! Very professional and I trusted him in our home. This would've been a 5 star rating accept that the email correspondence with one of the managers wasn't the best. There were supposed to be 2 weeks between treatments and we had to wait a month which caused my home business to lose hundreds of dollars. Then there was confusion about whether or not there were 2 or 3 treatments needed with different managers communicating different information. read more

One thing I like is a business that can give you a price over the phone. Another is when it's the right price, which I know because I comparison-shopped. The biggest name in town wanted over $100 more, and in my opinion, there probably isn't anything one place knows about pest control that others don't. Professional, friendly, reliable and successful in controlling mouse, roach and bed bug problems at our apartment complex (multiple units). Before I hired Guardian, I was hesitant to go with poison for the mice problem we had, thinking it would kill the mice inside the walls and create smell and dead mice everywhere, pet hazards etc. But whatever they did made the problem go away without new one surfacing. Great Pricing, great service and they stand behind their work. Guardian Pest Control (Eric and his father) exterminated bedbugs effectively for 3 apartments in our 3-unit property in Providence. They did everything exactly as explained and eliminated the issue as promised. They even came out an extra time at no charge to accomodate a tenant's schedule. Their pricing is drastically cheaper than Orkin and Terminix -I paid about 1/3 of what I was quoted by Orkin and Terminix. They also did all the work for me where Orkin and Terminix require that you handle the prep work. Lastly they did not try to intimidate us by making the problem seem bigger than it was (definitely a tactic used by terminix). They are reliable and conscientious! What a refreshing group of people at Guardian. I had them out last year to treat a small outbreak of carpenter ants on my patio and again this spring for carpenter bees (which I had never encountered before). They were not patronizing, they explained treatment, thoughtfully had me stay indoors during application outside and followed up by giving me a "buzz" to make sure problem was solved. Had a very strange encounter with Guardian this week. I was linked up with Dave through SHS for a termite problem I am having, which I discovered as I was doing some extensive renovations. Because of the renovations, there's a lot of work being done and building materials, etc around the property, and because of the work I had some deadlines to close up walls and such. After a visit by an SHS tech last week they promised to have someone come to treat the problem by Monday, given my time restraints. I don't hear from anyone else that week to schedule an appointment. I got a call from Dave from Guardian Monday, but he said he wouldn't be able to even look at the place until Wednesday. I was at first confused because I had been working through SHS, but figured my job was subcontracted or referred. I asked if he was only going to do an inspection and not treat if he could come by sooner, because timing was an issue and that we already had a visit and measurements of the property. Not to mention that I was told the previous week that we could start treatment on Monday. He said he understood my timing, but he'd still need to see the property first. Ok, I can wait another few days... Dave came promptly as scheduled on Wednesday to check out the property, and was a little less than professional, continually critiquing my house and the neighborhood it was in. He kept saying things like "I don't like working in Newport," "this house was very strange," "it will probably cost a lot to treat" and ended his visit by saying he'd need "two days to think about the job." I tried to re-assure him that we definitely wanted to get the place treated (why wouldn't I, the termites were eating my house!), and I would move any furniture or tools around or open up any walls if he needed. When I tried to ask for some sort of clarification of the extent and timing of the treatment he brushed aside the question and once again said I had a "strange house" and he "would need two days to think about it." I called him two hours later to try to get a bit more clarification, but he didn't answer. The next day Dave called back and said "the job was too hard" and he "wouldn't be able to work on it for at least a month," which would have been great information for me ahead of time because I have a series of deadlines with the renovation anyway. Are you kidding me? I found termites in one spot on an exterior wall and there was clearance all around the property! I in general don't like being treated like a burden as a customer, and if I made it clear that the project was time sensitive, then why waste more of my time by scheduling a visit? I also appreciate straight forward and honest assessments. If a company like Guardian can't handle a termite issue the size of mine, then they most be very limited in the scope of jobs they can perform. I also don't appreciate the unprofessionalism and strangeness of my interaction with Dave. My house is a side-by-side duplex in a relatively urban area. It is not a carnival fun house. I understand the difficulty in drilling through concrete to lay poison, but there is nothing "exceptional" about the job I was willing to pay to have done. Overall it was weird interaction that put an exceptionally bad taste in my mouth. read more

I travel a lot for business and have never encountered bedbugs until recently. Luckily, I saw two of the little monsters before I came home so I was able to launder most of my things, discard my suitcases and shoes, etc. before coming home. Nevertheless, I had some bites and was concerned that I might have missed one or two of the buggers. I called Guardian and begged for an appointment as soon as possible. Maria answered the phone and was instantly sympathetic to my situation. Even with the Thanksgiving holiday looming, she scheduled a technician (Joe), right away. Joe came out to the house and asked me what happened. I explained the story and he confirmed I'd taken all the precautions possible. He inspected both bedrooms in our house plus the sofa, and didn't find any signs of bedbugs. Yay! I can sleep in peace again!! He offered to leave two "traps" that attract the insects, just in case I wanted the added peace of mind (I did). He showed me how to inspect my furniture, what to look for in hotels (lift up the attached headboard) and check around the mattress tag as those are two favorite hiding places. Next, he recommended some chemical strips to put in an enclosed bag to treat my luggage when I return from traveling. He was careful to make sure I knew not to use these products in the house. He also recommended for future trips that I unpack my suitcase in the garage, inspecting everything, and then taking clothes straight to the washer/dryer. I cannot recommend Guardian highly enough. When you have to hire someone in a situation like this, you feel extremely vulnerable and are really at their mercy. The folks from Guardian were extremely professional, called me back when they said they would, educated me about bedbug prevention, and were an absolute delight to deal with. I hope you never have to worry about bedbugs or other such pests, but if you do, Guardian will be your best ally. read more

I been property manager for 40 yrs I've dealt with every kind of contractor there is. The other day I found a big yellow jacket nest at my 2nd floor vent. The yellowjacket made a hole under the vent I seen hundreds coming in and out of it. So I made some calls no one could come out for a few days. I needed some company to come out fast so I called Guardian pest. I called them and Suzanne answered the phone I told her I need someone fast to get rid of the nest she listen to my story. I have a house that has elderly lady's in it she told me that she could have someone come the next day. I thought they just came to give me a price but to my surprise Eric said I can do it for you right now. The price was very good I know cause I've been in the business some 40 yrs. Eric explain what he was going to do and explain how it works the guy was great, nice and knew what he was doing and explained some other things about the bees and little over an hour he was done and the next day. It was after hours when I discovered a yellowjacket nest in my lawn (with my lawnmower). I used the website to submit a request and Joe called me early the next morning. A tech came out later that same morning and quickly and professionally got rid of the yellowjackets. This review comes a little late, but I've been meaning to write a review about these guys so here goes. After recently moving into our apt in Providence, we realized that we had bed bugs (tracked here from Boston via my boyfriend). I called around to different pest control companies in the area and got some quotes (some companies wouldn't even give me a quote) and Guardian offered the best price. Not only that, but the woman who answers the phones was so nice every time and I was actually treated like a human, not a source of income. The guys came and treated our apartment three times over the course of the next few weeks and were great and very professional. They recently had to come back and inspect our apartment because bed bugs were found on the third floor. Luckily they did not find any signs of bed bugs but were once again very professional.
