I have used this company over the past year to get rid of mice inside the house. I first had to call around to find a company that does not use poison, which gets into the ecosystem and kills hawks, eagles, fox etc. Bill really cares about the ecosystem and the environment. I did not want an annual contract as I have 2 cats. I just wanted to stop up any tunnels etc. They offered a 6 month warranty and came out initially and then 2 follow up visits. They plugged so many potential entrances to the house and also placed snap traps. I did not have any mice activity all winter, after years of struggles with mice. Then in the spring there two sightings of a single mouse. They came right away when called both times to search for any more potential pathway. Hopefully that is the last of the mice! I called Martin Pest Control after hearing some scurrying up in my eaves! They came right out, inspected the house and closed up any openings they found that might allow mice into my home to prevent recurrence, assuring me this was a common problem this time of year as poor critters look to for a place to stay warm...But assured me they'd take care of it in no time. He set traps in the eves and came back twice over the next few days as soon as I called for something in a trap (and checked ALL the traps again himself!) That was it! 2 days.. Gone! No problems for months now. I also want to add...I had a different local company come out the day before that I chose not to use for many reasons. SO GLAD I didn't! That other company was going to use poison rather than traps and I have a dog! I have since learned family and neighborhood pets as well as wildlife can be poisoned if they get to the poisoned mouse once it leaves the house to die (as they do!) Martin Pest Control was GREAT...knowledgeable...and warned me against this!! Also...Martin Pest Control knew I was not thrilled at removing the traps myself and was more than willing to come back as needed to take care of them!! The other company that came out the day before thought it was ridiculous that I wouldn't remove the mice/traps myself and thought the poison would be better (I'm assuming 'cuz it'sceasier for them??) They were going to charge me significantly for each trip to come back for traps. The OTHER company also tried to upsell me to a maintenance plan due to where I live, insisting I'd always have issues...even though I haven't had an issue in 11 years in the house! Lol. Martin Pest Control on the other hand, was honest and said they could do a maintenance plan, but didnt feel I needed it. He said just call If I need them again... You don't want your pest control professional to be like Bill Murray's character in Caddyshack, who always gets outsmarted by the gophers. You do want to hire Bill Martin of Martin Pest Control. He catches the gophers (or whatever varmint you're after), helps keeps them out, and doesn't blow up your golf course. He'll also help you figure out the underlying reasons critters got in, so you can fix those. Also, he's a friendly guy who enjoys his work about as much as anyone can enjoy pest control. I first hired Bill to bait for rodents in the dilapidated 12x12 shed that was an eyesore when we bought our house, which I ended up tearing down. (The Town of North Attleborough requires rodent-baiting for any demolition project.) Bill set the poison traps, anchored them down, and that was that. Quick job, and at a reasonable cost. We got to talking, and one of many topics was how he could help me snuff out mice and centipedes in the basement. Neither had been a big problem, but they were a burr in my saddle for a while. Bill suggested his yearly service, which generally covers 4 quarterly quick search-and-destroy missions for a total of $495. I knew it was a very good deal, and planned to sign up, but didn't do it right away. I signed up a few weeks later, during a mouse uprising in the basement. Bill's 4-times-a-year service earned its keep after the first visit. I wanted him to focus on figuring out where the mice came in. He and his wingman, Eric, found some small holes under the vinyl siding, and stuffed those with Xcluder. He found two burrow holes in a half-rotted footer beam right next to the slab and under the egress door, which is below our deck and about 6 feet below grade (yeah, I know, it's a confusing setup). We filled those holes. With the exception of a few mice that I think we sealed in (because I caught them right after the first visit), I haven't seen or heard a single mouse since then, and I'm in the basement constantly. We got 'em. For me, the biggest upshot of Bill's service has been that it provided me the final kick in the butt to renovate our basement, which I'm mostly done with. The mouse holes prompted me to do a ton of clean-up before doing masonry work I'd meant to do for a while, which was a ton of work. Once the concrete and cinderblocks were tight, I Drylocked everything. Then I removed all the fiberglass batts between the floor joists, allowing me to seal up the rim joist, seal up a bunch of subfloor penetrations, and replace many runs of air duct. Then I did some electrical work that would have been much harder to do before. Then I replaced 3 of the ancient, horrible basement windows. Turns out those are where all the centipedes had been coming in: through the rotted jambs. I put in new, waterproof jambs and nice sash windows. Haven't seen a single centipede since. That had been on my to-do list for years. Bill's second visit was a few weeks ago, after I had done all that renovation work and more. That check-up was much less eventful: a clean bill of health. No mice, no centipedes. Bill has a background in construction, and had some good ideas for other fix-ups worth considering. For the third visit we'll probably look for possible outdoor bugs / pests, though I've also done a ton of work on the property and don't have any issues there. I recommend Martin Pest Control both because Bill quickly solved our immediate pest-control issue, and because his feedback set off a chain reaction that's been great for our home, now that I'm mostly done renovating the basement. Though our house was built in 1918, we're the first people ever to enjoy the basement. Whether or not that's the kind of goal you have, you'll find Bill's work effective and reasonably priced, and if you're like me you'll find Bill to be a friendly and easygoing guy. read more

After receiving two very painful stings from yellow jackets in my basement and trying 3 cans of wasp/hornet spray in a futile attempt to eliminate them - I called Martin Pest Control. They came right out the next day and after donning his space suit waged war on the intruders. With some magical killer juice he sprayed the large condo the unwanted visitors had constructed and removed it. The price was reasonable considering he was risking his life :-). I won't hesitate to use them again should I have the need. read more
