Initial inspection and exclusion appointments were fine. But when I called back to have them come out again, I was told I was on the schedule for the following week. No one showed up then. Someone showed up randomly two weeks later. Said they would send someone "ASAP". No one showed up. This happened two years in a row- exactly the same way!! Last summer I hired Terminix to cap my gutters and put a net over vents. I was told that no one had to be home on the day of service, therefore, I wasn't. I should have stayed home because a month and a half after the service I noticed weeds growing out of my gutter. When my husband reached out to Terminix he was told that the man in charge of the job was unable to finish the job. We were supposed to get a partial refund for the incomplete work. However, we never got the refund and if it weren't for the weeds growing out of the gutter we never would have know the job wasn't completed. Terminix then gave us the run around about reimbursing us and finishing the job. Finally, they sent someone to the house who assured us we would get our $1200 refund and that the job would be completed. We were only refunded $1000 and no one came to finish the job. Local branch manager did not respond and customer service has no recourse but to re-submit a request to schedule to the local branch. With promises to stay and I'd be contacted by local service rep and if not satisfied a partial return of my initial 1,350 was an option. I calmed down and gave faith. Pulled my fridge out to take pics of the mouse activity and sent to the resolution rep, Today 8 days later, no call no contact just a survey as you can imagine I gave my opinion. I finally called to cancel my policy. Of course this rep, as per usual, had no knowledge of what the prior rep did to help me. Nothing, that's why. Only THEN did she reach back to "see of there was anything more she could do." Technician claims I should have said No in a text when he said he was on his way to my house. I actually CALLED him instead of a text to say I don't have an account any longer, my house is under construction. He claims to have no recollection of this conversation and cannot produce any paperwork confirming my authorization, contract terms, payment history~nothing! BEWARE! I am fighting this! They called back in September to apologize for any calls for payment and my balance is zero and account is closed. Now in November I'm in collections? **Scam Alert!!!** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I contacted Terminix in Warwick,RI back in December 2021 regarding a bed bug issue. A Rep came out and took a look around my home. He told me he didn't see anything but that doesn't mean I don't have an issue. He ran down a list of services they would provide and told me they would need to come back every 2 weeks for 6 week period because that's how long it would take to get rid of the bed bugs. Along with new bed covers and even a 6month guarantee. (I didn't even want to think I may have them.) he seemed so professional and knowledgeable and told me the total cost would be just shy of $2000 for my entire house. 4 bed rooms (5beds) plus the living room. And I wouldn't have to worry about anything. Just staying out of the house during the visits. Only thing was I had to pay in full upfront to secure the rate. So I did. Well............... fast forward to January 2022 another rep came to my home and told me exactly what he would be doing and told Me I had to keep away from the home for at least 4 hrs. And he'd be back in 2 weeks for the follow up visit. When I came home nothing had seemed different except the fact that he flipped my couches and turned down all my beds. There was no odd "chemical" smell, or residue anywhere. He left a box with bed covers in it off to the side. But I thought nothing of it. I figured he must put them on when he comes back. I waited 2 weeks and I didn't hear from them about returning. I called the 1800 number the following day and the receptionist said "oh yea, he can come on Friday" I said that's fine. Thursday I received a phone call from the same guy who came the last time and asked me if I could reschedule because we were going to have a snow storm. I said sure not a problem. He told me the office would be calling me to schedule a new visit. Another week went by no phone call. I again called the 1800 but this time no answer. I left a voicemail. No return call. I called about 20 times that week and left countless voicemails with no return call. It's been 2 months since they were last here and I have yet to speak with anyone! I called Terminix for a free estimate because I was having a bed bug problem. Guy came out a few days later to "assess" the situation. I was expecting him to take a look around my house to see how bad my problem was, but all he did was say "oh once you see some bed bugs, you have to treat the whole house, no doubt about it". He kept talking about how many times they would come and treat my house and everything they'd do. Then he gave me the estimate. It was about $1400 give or take. Only a 6month guarantee. Kept trying to say that while I can find cheaper prices elsewhere, it won't be as good a service as Terminix. I am a new customer and I am so disappointed with their customer call center. I called last Friday, August 2nd at 4:00pm and scheduled an appointment for 1-3pm for today, Monday August 5th. NO-ONE SHOWED UP! I speak with JOYCE at the call center and she said she was so sorry but the girl never booked my appointment! So she then tells me a technician will be out from 5-7 pm tonight. I again wait AND NO ONE SHOWS UP! I am so angry! I call for the 3rd time and a girl says she doesn't have any appointments except for August 10th at 12:00pm! I said NO, it was for tonight at 5-7. I asked what state she was working in, it's not even in the United States! It is the Philippines! Joyce also said her supervisor Patrick would be calling end of day. HE NEVER CALLED! I will be calling Warwick office for a 4th time tomorrow morning and I have very low expectations that I will get through Because every time I call the local number I am transferred out of the country. We have just began with exterminator services from Terminix, as we had a stubborn bee's nest as well as a variety of other insects appear during late August. Terminix has thus far provided two treatments at our home. Right after the first treatment, I continued to observe additional visits from ants, and upon notification, the company returned within two days to retreat. The ants disappeared. The second treatment was scheduled in early November and the company called to change the date, but that was not convenient for us, so they secured another agent to come to treat the periphery inside and out on the original scheduled date. What I greatly appreciate is that the technician asks the customer what problems they are witnessing and with the exception of termite problems and mosquitos (additional cost), the application occurs then. Yesterday, we found some little critters in our basement who were stuck to the sticky "trap," set by Terminix during their last visit, so once again we notified the company and two days later, the appointment has been set for them to actually come here to remove them. That is good service. I will continue to monitor the performance of this company, but as of now, their effort is quite good. read more

Horrible experience they couldn't take care of a mouse issue that was very very minimum in fact they made it worse and then we had a rat issue that caused us to pay thousand in home repairs to fix the damages they must've came out 50 times on the "guaranteed plan" . When we called to tell them there was still an issue it would take a minimum of a week to two weeks for them to come back out causing more mice to be born....we ended up having to call another company in who took care of the issue in one shot! I hired them in November of last year first guy came out claimed he had sealed off the entry point which was discovered during the initial consultation with over $1500 paid during this consultation. called in January for them to return and reassess and witnessed bait-free glue-less traps placed in our basement without any effect. Decided not to ask for a second followup based on ineffective first and second calls, we took matters into our own hands and were able to resolve the issue and finall y enjoy our home. Spoke with a customer service representative to cancel by account and was told that cancellation that is occurring in May following initial contract signing 6months ago was early and refund can not be provide. Having worked for this company for a yr I found that the company states customer satisfaction is important however they repeatedly do nothing to make the customer expectations better. They claim to come out for additional services however scheduling these extra services can be a very time consuming process and the availability of the techs is suddenly many days or weeks out. Inspector John Heiss seems like a nice guy but is totally useless. His inspection supposed found evidence of bats, and I know I had a mouse issue prior to purchasing my home. I called for carpenter ants, which he assured me were harmless paver ants. Wrong! I signed up for an exclusion paying 1185, they basically go around and put spray foam around the foundation. They then put down some sticky traps and bait stations. After they came out and did this they said they would come back but never did. Had to call headquarters. I found a mouse on the sticky trap and they finally came out. Got in through a spot under the deck because the techs didn't feel like going under it. When techs came back out another month to do bat traps was told by a tech there was no evidence of bats and already had a screen on vent. Also showed him the ants that John told me were paver ants and he informed they were carpenter ants. They tried selling me that ridiculous package. Also had to ask the tech to spray around the whole house, shouldn't they do that automatically? They made appointment that I took the day off for and they never showed, as well as charged me for one visit when I was told by John it was covered. The manager never called to apologize but they did get rid of the bill. Horrible customer service. Never hire them, you will regret it. read more

I wish I can give NO stars. Joined and was gareteened treatments would work, so I added mesquitos treatments. Well on August3 2019 it was time fro my qtrly treatment and mesquito treatment. I came home that evening, with spiders near my back door and got eaten alive trying to cook on the grill. TREATMENTS DID NOT WORK, AND was told by 4 reps that they cant 100 % garenttee that it would since I live in wooded area and duplex. I have been making calls since Saturday to get over to international and transferrred all over the place.. I requested a Full refund of the most recent treatments and THEY REFUSED. Communication is terrible, and customer is always wrong. They showed up when they werent when I wasnt notified, and was a no show when appointment was made. Back in February of this year I called Terminex because I was having a big problem with paper wasps in my house. My husband is allergic to bees, when I called Terminex to set up an appointment we had already killed 25 wasps. They also had an add for a free estimate on blow in insulation that is allegedly the best against pest protection. So when I signed up for the initial treatment to rid of the wasp problem I signed up for the free inspection. I got an email confirming the time and such and that I would get a phone call when the inspectors were on the way. I was a little aggravated because I did not get a phone call that they were on there way and they just showed up to the house. The appointment was scheduled for 3pm and it was a good thing my husband was home because I had arrived back to my house at 255pm from running errands and the inspectors were already done. This turned me off a little bit but I shrugged it off because things happen. I had the inspection and the first treatment on the same day. Dean quoted us for the insulation and we scheduled it 2 weeks out. The two others that came to spray didn't have anything for wasps. I had told them it was my concern and that was why I had them come in the first place. They called their office and told me that they would order something for the wasps and it would be in in about 2 weeks. A week and a half goes by and 2 days before the scheduled install dean called and stated they he was double booked on accident and he asked if we could reschedule. So we rescheduled for the following Friday. Wednesday before the scheduled install Dean calls me again and asked if we could reschedule for that Tuesday again because he couldn't make that Friday work. (After he asked me to do it that day). So I told him I have to make a few calls and I will call him right back. I couldn't get anyone to be at my house for then so I told him it would have to be for that next Friday (now 3 weeks after the initial scheduled install and 5 weeks after the initial assessment). I asked about the wasp stuff and he said that he would check into it for me. Apparently nothing had come in yet. 4 weeks after the initial spray. Once again 2 days before this 3 time reschedule appointment Dean calls me to reschedule that he has too many appointments. This time being fed up and feeling like just a number I told him if he cannot get it done on this Friday I wouldn't be rescheduling and I would look elsewhere. He called me back and told me he could do it. I had something to do that day for 12pm and Dean made it very clear that the install would start at 9am and would be done for me to be able to get to where I needed to be for 12pm. The day of install March 29th 2019 at 10:45am came around and I had still gotten no phone call that the sprayers were on their way to install the insulation. At this point I was done. I called dean to cancel. Dean was very frustrated as you could here it in his voice, he stated that the equipment was already on the truck and the guys were about 15 minutes away. I expressed why I was upset and that I couldn't stay for the install because I made it clear to him I needed them here for 9 because I had somewhere I had to be. He called his General Manager as soon as he got off the phone with me and maybe 2 minutes later I got a call from a Greg the general manager. I told Greg everything and that I didn't like just being a number and not a valued customer and my appointments and time meant nothing to them. Greg promised a discount on the install, a lower quarterly price and that from now on I would just talk to him instead of Dean. As aggregated as I was I was able to get my sister in law to be here for the install so I could make my prior engagement and be done with this nightmare. I also told Greg about the wasp stuff that I have been waiting for and he assured me that the wasp stuff would be in soon and as soon as it comes in that it would be delivered. This process started in February. They finally sprayed the insulation March 29th after much hassle. May 2nd came around and I messaged Greg to ask about the wasp stuff and when they planned on coming back to spray the exterior. He said "no problem" he would check on it for me. May 9th I texted him again and said "Greg, I never heard from you". With it being an IPhone it showed the read receipt as that day May 9th 2:59pm. A few days went by and I was so disgusted with this company I called the main line to speak with someone else. I cancelled my plan and I asked for a refund of the $200.00 initial assessment. They did nothing for me. I had an issue with wasps and they couldn't even provide me with anything for them not even the simple traps they have at Home Depot or Lowes for $10.00. They came and set about 6 mouse traps that cost about $20.00. Worst Company for pests such poor customer service. I have been a Terminex customer for about 6-7 years primarily for ant control. we have always has the small black "sugar" ants. When we bought the house the previous customers were Terminex customers so we continued with the service. progressively year over year the ants kept getting worse... when talking with the guys at Terminex they kept telling us two things 1- Keep the house cleaner 2- Ants are coming to drink your water not eat the food To that I say 2 things... 1- Our entire kitchen was encased in zip-lock bags. We had become an insane family constantly considering ants and what they can get in to. You could eat off the floor in our house. 2- Water? really? Whenever we saw an ant they had either found the stray piece of food on the floor or they had chewed into a zip-lock and were feasting on the contents. Never did I see swarm of ants feasting on a glass of water To be honest, my wife and i were very seriously considering moving out of our house after the ants persisted through last winter! WTF?! Ants in the winter?! We were certain that we lived on top of an ant farm. We increased by 2x-3x the amount of visits by Terminex but still the ants were crazy. I spent hours searching online about ant infestations and what to do about them but i was able to find nothing. Then I saw something about Terro ant killer and I figured what the heck, I've got nothing to lose. I bought the outdoor and indoor liquid ant bates. Once again it was a total and complete feeding frenzy on the Terro liquid. The way this stuff works is that the ants eat it and head back to the colony feed it to the other ants. It takes 2 days +/- before it essentially shuts down their digestive system and viola! Dead ants! (my favorite kind of ant!) I tell you straight up ALL of the ants are dead. Not some of the ants, not most of the ants... ALL of the ants are DEAD!! We can now live like normal human beings and leave a pie on the counter, let the cats have food in a bowl that is not surrounded by a moat of soapy water, etc etc. - Terminex per year = $350 - Still having lots of ants - Terro 3 year supply = $22.73 - Zero ants! How does Terminex not use this stuff? How am I, a regular home owner, able to kill more pests than the pros? I'm baffled by Terminex and their inability to kill my ants. My astonishment is completely overshadowed by my total joy of killing all of the ants with Terro. I will sing the praises of this stuff to anyone that will listen... all the while saving cash. Contrary to what others have posted, I had a great experience. They are not cheap but they got rid of my mice issue immediately. The consultant was at my house an hour after my initial call and the technicians were there an hour after in between going to another job. They sealed my house up and laid many traps in basement and garage. I was fortunate that the mice were not in the house when they sealed it. So the great news was they were not able to get back in after the service and I've been rodent free and can finally sleep at night! Thank you! read more
