Had a third visit and did not receive a call from them saying they were coming; just came home from grocery shopping with my son and there was a man with a truck coming to spray outside our home. (They don't have some giant pesticide tank attached to the truck to spray; just a portable hand held thing filled which he would spray here and there around the yard). Would have been nice to have a heads up, but he seems nice and walked around with a his pesticide spray. We haven't seen any ticks and no longer have any ants around so that's good. I know for sure that the company that we used with the initial visit was Fox; don't appreciate the response they sent questioning whether the first visit was with them - yes it was. (I don't come on Yelp frequently, so I didn't see their response until just now, even though it was date right before my second review where I was really impressed by the second guy they sent) Anyway, the third visit was one where we were not notified, and the guy was not as awesome as the guy from the second visit- hence this updated review. read more

If I can give less, I would. They were in my neighborhood going door to door and I said no. My husband sprays our yard. Well, I left for work and he came back an hour later asking for my husband. My husband told him, my wife told you no. He said yes but I thought I would change your mind and then he asked for a water. They left my house and a car full of young men went up the road read more

I have been a Fox customer for a year now. I was able to sign a one year contract, typically they start you with a two year contract. I'm very, very happy that I only did one year. I initially called Fox for a mouse problem in the basement. At first, I was pleasantly surprised with the service. They worked hard to get you signed up and started, but then the problems started.... Here are my issues with this company: 1. They do not adhere to any sort of schedule. They will (maybe/hopefully) call you a half hour to an hour before arriving at your home, but they do not give you a scheduled day that you can plan for in advance that they will be in your area. Sometimes, if the technicians are running late, they won't even show up at your home even though they said they were going to! Updates throughout the day are nonexistent, and don't even bother calling the main office because they have no clue. 2. They had no problem baiting the mice IN my basement, but they did not really care about finding where the mice were actually coming in from. It felt like a band-aid on a huge wound. The problem was being managed but not properly corrected. The technicians mainly just changed the bait in the boxes and checked for dead mice (which we were doing as we caught them because we didn't want dead mice in our basement for weeks on end-who knows when the next time they were coming out was... not me!). I had to put up a major fight to get their "home inspector" to come out and do a thorough evaluation of where the mice are coming in from, and then I paid handsomely to have the exclusion service and have them remove mouse-soiled insulation from the house. 3. Contact them as soon as your contract is over or they will keep charging you on a "month-to-month basis." They should send out emails stating the contract is over and to contact them for the next steps. Terrible, terrible customer service from the corporate office. To me, honesty is the best policy for keeping customers. They got a years worth of money from me and a handsome check for the extra service I requested after becoming the Warwick office's worst nightmare, but they will not be getting a dime from me or anyone I know moving forward. The exclusion service and insulation removal came with a warranty and you best believe that they will be hearing from me if another mouse is caught in my basement. Try to stay away from this company. Worst case, realize that you have to be their project manager and that you are going to have to stay on top of them for EVERY. LITTLE. THING. Beware. read more

Don't bother with this company. They want your credit card # before they ever show up. They will make an appointment for a certain day, but are either unwilling or unable to give you at least a general time frame during that day -- not even before noon or after noon. They call you the day before the appointment to remind you, then you will wait all day and they don't come (and of course don't bother to call to say they're not coming). Go somewhere else! read more

"2023" - I had used this company for years with no issues. Then one day they just up'd my price without warning. When I called they became very pushy and rude. I had to tell them several times to cancel my service. Received more phone calls later asking to start up service again. "2026" - I take care of my mom and reached out for a quote for her house. Big mistake. The salesperson was rude and pushy and when I started saying that they would have to wait because I was getting other quotes he just hung up on me. Pricing was actually not too bad but he hung up on me and was so rude and pushy. I'll go elsewhere. What a shame. read more

I was looking for just a one time visit to remove a hive of bees that was in a shrub by my front steps. We needed it removed right away because months earlier we had hired a handy man to put in new vinyl hand rails and we didn't notice the bees until just week or so before they were scheduled to come out and I had started trimming the shrub. The salesman was pushing me into a contract, basically let me believe it would be cheaper to get the contract plan then cancel it later if I wanted to. The problem is, he didn't mention the two hundred change cancellation fee. Keeping the two year contract would have cost me $70 a month. I didn't have much time to shop around and needed it done quickly, so my bad for not reading the fine print. READ the fine print. Anyway when I called the customer service line, they were unsympathetic and basically left me feeling like, sorry chump. My point was the representitive could have easily mentioned that when I told him I intended to cancel after the initial visit. The budget for my steps was costing me enough and I was looking for the best price. Be wary of this company, they are shady and apparently don't care about customer service or their reputation over the dollar. Which by the way their prices in general are rediculous unless money is no concern for you. read more

We've been a customer for years but this latest experience made us cut ties completely. Called one month ago about wasps swarming our front door. Tech came out, saw the issue and said he couldn't address it without a bee suit. Five phone calls later (me to them, they never once called me) and I was told the only person with a bee suit moved. So I switched to a local company and they are LESS EXPENSIVE and came out immediately. LEAVE FOX, there are better, less expensive, more competent companies out there. read more

I have had Fox for about 3 years now and I have not experienced any problems with them at all I have not had any problems with any kind of bugs ants etc in my home I've called in between treatments for hive removals and they came right out and took care of it 2 summers ago I got the tick spray and after a couple of treatments their was a tick on my dog 2 separate times I called them and they let me cancel that part of my service with no problems at all this year they have new non toxic treatment for ticks fleas and mosquitoes so I signed up for it I am going to give it at least 2 treatments and see how it goes I'm sure if my dogs have anything again they will not give me a problem canceling They have always shot me a text or called a few times before coming out and I've also called to reschedule if it's raining and they have never given me any problems I am a very very picky person I don't know why they have so many negative reviews So I figured I would share my experience with them. read more

The company is very scammy. They entrap you in yearly subscription services with no mention that even if they don't eliminate your pests you can't cancel and will still be on the hook. All for work not even rendered. Very poor quality work and very much a scam company focused on entrapment more than real work. Buyer be warned. read more

Setting up this plan was a breeze. They tell you all the great things they'll do for you, give you all these discounts and then tell you they can get a guy out same day. DONT FALL FOR IT. As soon as they take the money from your account it's all down hill. I own a duplex and both sides needed to be treated. Both sides have dogs. I was told 30 minutes to an hour they needed to be out of the house. Technician comes and says it's 4 hours... great we figure it out. Next time they decide to tell me they're coming is 20 minutes before. I call to have someone come back again, same thing. It's super frustrating and unprofessional. I then called to speak to a manager which was really easy to do.. the first time. Manager insisted he would get someone out the next day between 12-4. Guess who never showed or called to reschedule? I call back to speak with the manager and get told twice that I would get a call back. As you can see I'm writing this because I never heard back. I wouldn't recommend this place for 3 reasons.. 1. Their technicians all tell you something different regarding time it takes for product to dry. Training is a must! 2. The product did NOTHING I ended up buying boric acid and it helped more. 3. Management is terrible, I should have received a call back. Now all I want is my money and to never have to deal with this company again. read more

We are NOT a customer of Fox Pest Control. One of their employees sprayed our yard instead of our neighbors. My husband's organic garden is destroyed and our chickens have been exposed to unknown chemicals. I have called several times and have been told that a "branch manager" will give me a call back, but have not yet received one. I am disgusted that a company could make this big of a mistake and not want to remedy the situation as quickly as possible as what they did was illegal since they trespassed onto our private property without our consent or knowledge. read more

In response to Comment from Abby V. of Fox Pest Control - Rhode Island Business Owner who claimed on 3/15/2023 that I was getting a refund NO refund has been received and the operations manager chose not to take my call, or to call me back, not that a phone call should have been required to refund me anyway. Perhaps this comment claiming you were refunding me was just for show, to try to make people who see my review believe that you didn't keep my money. $175 for the initial appointment, $57 for a month of renting your bait stations, $150 to cancel the contract, after I killed the mice myself and $310 to have to damaged corner of my siding replaced. all for nothing, if I had only known this could have all been avoided by the $20 dollar bag of mouse poison I bought at Walmart to exterminate the mice myself. "Hi Irene, I am so sorry that you had a negative with us. After speaking to our Operations Manager, he is going to issue you a full refund. However, he would like to speak to you regarding the siding on your home. Can you please give our office a phone call to discuss that? Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. Terrible communication. They are fine if you're just doing routine services, but if you ever need any special treatment, good luck getting in touch with someone there. Value is on par with other companies and the technicians were always nice. They're just incredibly unreliable read more

In the beginning my husband just asked for a certain document that we needed because we were refinancing our house and we needed an inspection done by a pest control company. We did have them come and put some implants in the yard to keep the answer away from the house. After they did that, we asked for the particular document, they said they don't do that. my husband was told specifically that they did. That was the reason why he hired them in the first place. We had to fight tooth and nail talking to different people who kept giving us different answers. First they say they can, then they say they can't or they don't do it anymore, Then the home office had to be called by another person etc. It was like playing ping-pong and super aggravating! Come to find out other people had problems with them as well. So in the end my husband called them up and told them never mind we hired somebody else to give us the document which only took them 15 minutes of inspection and then they filled out the document on the spot. He told them to come and pull up the lawn stakes up and return our money. They did, but that was way too frustrating and having hired them under false pretenses, not OK! Definitely don't recommend them just for that reason! read more

Try anyone else for your pest control needs. This place will sell you a bunch of bullshit. I paid in full for a service they guaranteed would be rectified. They did not complete as promised. I want to be clear - the technician -ELLIOT- was amazing My issue is with the company! I called and was told someone would bs out this week - there is a special for $199 and then $65 for the following 4 treatments to remove the yellow jackets ! I WAS TOLD THIS ISSUE WOULD TAKE 4 applications to kill the yellow jackets. Elliot told me - actually just one application should be sufficient and that I SIGNED UP FOR TWO YEARS OF MONTHLY TREATMENT ! Bait & switch ? Up selling ? Whatever - NOT OK! Buyer beware ! Sales guy is a fast /double talker ! Elliott also told me $300 for treatment today and that should be fine and FOX WILL COME OUT FOR THE NEXT 30 days if the issues persisted! read more

When we first called, they were great. I'd give it 5 stars for their service. However, when they said they will come back to check on the trap they set up, they just ghosted us. We could not even get in contact with anyone. We tried calling, almost everyday and got forwarded to automated caller to wait, then they just hung up on us. We needed to get the trap checked and they said it's part of the contract and would be back after 2 weeks... it's been about a month.. no call no show for follow up at all. read more

We were having a HUGE wasp issue, they made a nest outside a door frame and tunneled their way into my kitchen! Kevin Hernandez was the Tech they sent out. He did such an amazing job and made sure he located and targeted all windows/potential nesting areas! He was very thorough and knowledgeable about this issue. I was nervous but he reassured us they would be back for a 2 week check up and make sure all is still good. Great value for getting rid of a pest like this!! They gave me a new client discount which was nice too. Would 10/10 recommend Kevin Hernandez at Fox Pest Control in RI!! read more

stay far away. I made the mistake of calling this company. a couple days before my apt I changed my mind called and canceled. a few days later one of their workers is camped out near my house. soon as my wife pulls in she jumps out and starts pretending the apt was never cancelled. I come out and inform her she says the company never told her... nothing was done or signed or agreed to. looking over my credit card statement and these folks have been charging me 62.99 every two weeks since that day. they have never done a damn thing at my house. I made mistake of taking the plan offered thinking that I could cancel anytime. However, that is no so. They come in go around the house periodically and get paid every month. They love their autopay billing. They kept billing after I canceled service over the phone . Total waste. NO VALUE FOR MONEY. They don't go in attics Came unprepared for service-didn't have mesh for under sink "ran out" Don't have wildlife services Wouldn't put bait in existing bait stations because they weren't theirs. Couldn't reach all of my windows for their "dusting service" for insects. Didn't say anything unless I asked, just didn't do them. If I could give zero stars, I would. The door to door salesman had my wife sign his device to "schedule a walk through" and a month goes by and my wife gets a text stating she owes $50. Scam artist of a salesperson signed her up for a monthly subscription without her knowledge and on top of it they never came out to service the house. Just like most reviews already as unreliable a company I have ever seen. Had a tech come on a Wednesday for yellow jackets they did a spray and even showed me in my electrical box area in the winter I would need to spray a sealant. Two days later I was showing my neighbor in the electrical box where the tech said to spray and saw a nest the size of a softball he missed. Called immediately for a follow up appointment. The woman told me between 8 to 12 on Saturday they'd be there. 12:15 nobody showed I called back and was told nothing was scheduled but a tech would be out by 2. 2:40 I called again and was told they'd call me back when they found out what the issue was. After 4 I called back and was told they just found out the tech saw the note after the 1230 cut off and assumed I was not patient waiting for the spray to take effect. Waste of my entire Saturday and money and still have an active nest in the basement. read more

So I'm not going to say they didn't help my ant problem but they are borderline shady the way they conduct business. I signed up for a quarterly plan. $135 a treatment. They came on June 18th and charged me. On July 24th they came and charged me again. (My ants were gone after the first treatment btw). They charged me again on October 30th. And then on January 4th charged me again for services not rendered (I was told they were coming at the end of the month). That's 4 times in 6 months. A very strange "quarterly" plan. And what bugs are they killing in January? And who charges you before services rendered? I called them and flipped out and canceled my plan and told them I wanted to be reimbursed for the services they did not provide. read more

Fox tech, Dominic was informative and professional. Hoping that the application he did to eliminate our problem works, but was reassured by him that Fox (he) would come out again (and again) if need be until problem is eliminated. Hope this is not necessary, but good to know. Just hope if a return is necessary that Fox sends Dominic out pronto instead of having to wait a week like what originally happened. A wait can and will make matters worse. Will enter updates on the situation so people can see if Fox is a company they can trust. Hopefully, they are. Dominic would rate a 5; Fox would rate a 3/4 because of wait. read more

The technicians themselves were fine and applied the treatment where I wanted it. I agree with the review that says they are borderline shady. Despite paying on the day of the treatment, I received four additional invoices including one 3 weeks after they had cashed the check.
