I have had Fox for about 3 years now and I have not experienced any problems with them at all I have not had any problems with any kind of bugs ants etc in my home I've called in between treatments for hive removals and they came right out and took care of it 2 summers ago I got the tick spray and after a couple of treatments their was a tick on my dog 2 separate times I called them and they let me cancel that part of my service with no problems at all this year they have new non toxic treatment for ticks fleas and mosquitoes so I signed up for it I am going to give it at least 2 treatments and see how it goes I'm sure if my dogs have anything again they will not give me a problem canceling They have always shot me a text or called a few times before coming out and I've also called to reschedule if it's raining and they have never given me any problems I am a very very picky person I don't know why they have so many negative reviews So I figured I would share my experience with them. read more

I have been a Fox customer for a year now. I was able to sign a one year contract, typically they start you with a two year contract. I'm very, very happy that I only did one year. I initially called Fox for a mouse problem in the basement. At first, I was pleasantly surprised with the service. They worked hard to get you signed up and started, but then the problems started.... Here are my issues with this company: 1. They do not adhere to any sort of schedule. They will (maybe/hopefully) call you a half hour to an hour before arriving at your home, but they do not give you a scheduled day that you can plan for in advance that they will be in your area. Sometimes, if the technicians are running late, they won't even show up at your home even though they said they were going to! Updates throughout the day are nonexistent, and don't even bother calling the main office because they have no clue. 2. They had no problem baiting the mice IN my basement, but they did not really care about finding where the mice were actually coming in from. It felt like a band-aid on a huge wound. The problem was being managed but not properly corrected. The technicians mainly just changed the bait in the boxes and checked for dead mice (which we were doing as we caught them because we didn't want dead mice in our basement for weeks on end-who knows when the next time they were coming out was... not me!). I had to put up a major fight to get their "home inspector" to come out and do a thorough evaluation of where the mice are coming in from, and then I paid handsomely to have the exclusion service and have them remove mouse-soiled insulation from the house. 3. Contact them as soon as your contract is over or they will keep charging you on a "month-to-month basis." They should send out emails stating the contract is over and to contact them for the next steps. Terrible, terrible customer service from the corporate office. To me, honesty is the best policy for keeping customers. They got a years worth of money from me and a handsome check for the extra service I requested after becoming the Warwick office's worst nightmare, but they will not be getting a dime from me or anyone I know moving forward. The exclusion service and insulation removal came with a warranty and you best believe that they will be hearing from me if another mouse is caught in my basement. Try to stay away from this company. Worst case, realize that you have to be their project manager and that you are going to have to stay on top of them for EVERY. LITTLE. THING. Beware. read more

"2023" - I had used this company for years with no issues. Then one day they just up'd my price without warning. When I called they became very pushy and rude. I had to tell them several times to cancel my service. Received more phone calls later asking to start up service again. "2026" - I take care of my mom and reached out for a quote for her house. Big mistake. The salesperson was rude and pushy and when I started saying that they would have to wait because I was getting other quotes he just hung up on me. We've been a customer for years but this latest experience made us cut ties completely. Called one month ago about wasps swarming our front door. Tech came out, saw the issue and said he couldn't address it without a bee suit. Five phone calls later (me to them, they never once called me) and I was told the only person with a bee suit moved. So I switched to a local company and they are LESS EXPENSIVE and came out immediately. LEAVE FOX, there are better, less expensive, more competent companies out there. read more

The company is very scammy. They entrap you in yearly subscription services with no mention that even if they don't eliminate your pests you can't cancel and will still be on the hook. Setting up this plan was a breeze. They tell you all the great things they'll do for you, give you all these discounts and then tell you they can get a guy out same day. DONT FALL FOR IT. As soon as they take the money from your account it's all down hill. I own a duplex and both sides needed to be treated. Both sides have dogs. I was told 30 minutes to an hour they needed to be out of the house. Technician comes and says it's 4 hours... great we figure it out. Next time they decide to tell me they're coming is 20 minutes before. I call to have someone come back again, same thing. It's super frustrating and unprofessional. I then called to speak to a manager which was really easy to do.. the first time. Manager insisted he would get someone out the next day between 12-4. Guess who never showed or called to reschedule? I call back to speak with the manager and get told twice that I would get a call back. As you can see I'm writing this because I never heard back. I wouldn't recommend this place for 3 reasons.. 1. Their technicians all tell you something different regarding time it takes for product to dry. Training is a must! 2. The product did NOTHING I ended up buying boric acid and it helped more. 3. Management is terrible, I should have received a call back. Now all I want is my money and to never have to deal with this company again. read more

We are NOT a customer of Fox Pest Control. One of their employees sprayed our yard instead of our neighbors. My husband's organic garden is destroyed and our chickens have been exposed to unknown chemicals. I have called several times and have been told that a "branch manager" will give me a call back, but have not yet received one. I am disgusted that a company could make this big of a mistake and not want to remedy the situation as quickly as possible as what they did was illegal since they trespassed onto our private property without our consent or knowledge. read more

If you sign a contract with this company for monthly pest control after a year they will have roped you into services totaling almost $300 a month. They would not let me out of my contract when I explained I could no longer afford these services. Then they sicked a debt collector on me even after I had paid off almost all I owed them. read more

In the beginning my husband just asked for a certain document that we needed because we were refinancing our house and we needed an inspection done by a pest control company. We did have them come and put some implants in the yard to keep the answer away from the house. After they did that, we asked for the particular document, they said they don't do that. my husband was told specifically that they did. That was the reason why he hired them in the first place. We had to fight tooth and nail talking to different people who kept giving us different answers. First they say they can, then they say they can't or they don't do it anymore, Then the home office had to be called by another person etc. It was like playing ping-pong and super aggravating! Come to find out other people had problems with them as well. So in the end my husband called them up and told them never mind we hired somebody else to give us the document which only took them 15 minutes of inspection and then they filled out the document on the spot. He told them to come and pull up the lawn stakes up and return our money. They did, but that was way too frustrating and having hired them under false pretenses, not OK! I called and was told someone would bs out this week - there is a special for $199 and then $65 for the following 4 treatments to remove the yellow jackets ! When we first called, they were great. I'd give it 5 stars for their service. However, when they said they will come back to check on the trap they set up, they just ghosted us. We could not even get in contact with anyone. We tried calling, almost everyday and got forwarded to automated caller to wait, then they just hung up on us. Just like most reviews already as unreliable a company I have ever seen. Had a tech come on a Wednesday for yellow jackets they did a spray and even showed me in my electrical box area in the winter I would need to spray a sealant. Two days later I was showing my neighbor in the electrical box where the tech said to spray and saw a nest the size of a softball he missed. Called immediately for a follow up appointment. The woman told me between 8 to 12 on Saturday they'd be there. 12:15 nobody showed I called back and was told nothing was scheduled but a tech would be out by 2. 2:40 I called again and was told they'd call me back when they found out what the issue was. After 4 I called back and was told they just found out the tech saw the note after the 1230 cut off and assumed I was not patient waiting for the spray to take effect. If I could give zero stars, I would. The door to door salesman had my wife sign his device to "schedule a walk through" and a month goes by and my wife gets a text stating she owes $50. Scam artist of a salesperson signed her up for a monthly subscription without her knowledge and on top of it they never came out to service the house. Hope this is not necessary, but good to know. Just hope if a return is necessary that Fox sends Dominic out pronto instead of having to wait a week like what originally happened. So I'm not going to say they didn't help my ant problem but they are borderline shady the way they conduct business. I signed up for a quarterly plan. $135 a treatment. They came on June 18th and charged me. On July 24th they came and charged me again. (My ants were gone after the first treatment btw). They charged me again on October 30th. And then on January 4th charged me again for services not rendered (I was told they were coming at the end of the month). That's 4 times in 6 months. A very strange "quarterly" plan. And what bugs are they killing in January? And who charges you before services rendered? I called them and flipped out and canceled my plan and told them I wanted to be reimbursed for the services they did not provide. read more

We used them for taking care of our flying squirrel problem, birds nest and exclusion work. They are pretty expensive, which is frustrating but they do a good job. Had a third visit and did not receive a call from them saying they were coming; just came home from grocery shopping with my son and there was a man with a truck coming to spray outside our home. (They don't have some giant pesticide tank attached to the truck to spray; just a portable hand held thing filled which he would spray here and there around the yard). Would have been nice to have a heads up, but he seems nice and walked around with a his pesticide spray. We haven't seen any ticks and no longer have any ants around so that's good. I know for sure that the company that we used with the initial visit was Fox; don't appreciate the response they sent questioning whether the first visit was with them - yes it was. (I don't come on Yelp frequently, so I didn't see their response until just now, even though it was date right before my second review where I was really impressed by the second guy they sent) Anyway, the third visit was one where we were not notified, and the guy was not as awesome as the guy from the second visit- hence this updated review. read more

The technicians themselves were fine and applied the treatment where I wanted it. I agree with the review that says they are borderline shady. Despite paying on the day of the treatment, I received four additional invoices including one 3 weeks after they had cashed the check. When I called to cancel the contact, they of course hit me with a $150 early termination fee so have me over the proverbial barrel to finish out the contract for the year. when approached by their sales rep first time I was impressed with what the delivery and service would look like. later on it appeared there are a lot of small letters... - they dont remove dead rodents - many things are an up-sell service - every time you get pressured into signing a new service for something not covered under the existing contract. my bad, I should have read better (like I normally do, but they are good in this area!), you also trust the offer that "everything will be taken care of" with this fee. after another round of pressured up-sell calls, "you have to decide now otherwise the offer expires" I decided to write some feedback about that "force" pressure. nice enough I got a call asking about my review. I do appreciate that. still not expecting free stuff or anything but merely explaining that this sort of approach of aggressive selling is not for everyone. I spoke with a person "rebecca" who really could benefit from some customer experience training btw, telling me that they are here to run a business and can't give things for free. haha I sure I get that... but really? an example what I gave that last year when asked about a mosquito service, I said show me an application to see if it is worth it. the problem was not less then the year before. now she tells me that i need multiple applications. sure I can understand it. again good sales tactics. with the experience so far it means pay me first I *might* show you later, there is no try before buy and when I asked to cancel my service right on the spot because I am really fed up with this sort of "companies" that know how to extract money out of your pocket but dont know how to deliver or prolong the relationship, you're being put on hold for 10 minutes and you're gonna get a call back, I dont know... :) I am going back to old school managing it myself or finding a local company. love to pay more for a smile and appreciation. for me end of fox pest. hope you can learn from my lesson... this is not a one off issue btw, i gave it multiple chances for them to correct but apparently short term $ is more important then long term gain. again was not looking for discount or free stuff, but only value for money. apparently business has been good for them so they feel they dont have to care as much about their existing customer base. good luck I say! read more
