It's just an empty lot. I was very excited to go here…read more Check in was easy in that you just call them when you get there then go hookup. Note: There is NO ACCESS to the canyon from here. You CANNOT walk into it from this campground. Everywhere you look are NO TRESSPASSING signs all along the thing, which is super annoying. I chose this place to take the dogs on a nice walk into the canyon but seeing these red NO TRESSPASSING signs everywhere killed it for me. We also hit a horrible snow and ice storm staying here. I had no idea it was going to get so cold. My water hose froze to the RV and the pump. I had to use a lighter and grit to get it unstuck. This was the first RV park I ever stayed at. The fact that we couldn't go into the canyon really killed it. The weather didn't help but I know it's not their fault.

Sites are well taken care of & clean. We didn't really notice the interstate noise, but one of the local military jets few over rocked our world. No cable, but we knew that from the start. Third 'oh boy'. I asked about guest laundry (which we need) as the app states they provide this amenity. Not available at this time. Well, that's the fourth 'oh boy'. Not good Wyndham. Baymont expectations are not being met in the 'extras' area. However, the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and well made. Good pllows. The room warm. Although the space between the end of the bed and the closet was narrow, they had all the stuff. Microwave, fridge, Dove personal care items. My face cloth was a bit thin and textured so you got a nice clean. The bath and hand towels are thick and absorbant. Bed sheets felt soft and comfortable with a comfy quilt on top. Mattress comfoetable. Breakfast was disappointing. My scrambled eggs were hard. How? They have a fridge with yogurt, cream cheese and butter. Cold cereals, waffle station, sausage, fruit, toaster items, apple or orange juice, coffee. I suppose it's the usual breakfast items. The coffee was just Ok. The water here tastes bad so not much you can do about that. In the end, I had a warm shower, a warm bed and caffeine in the morning. I was safe, the room was clean and the staff was pleasant. IMHO, it does not meet Baymont quality expectations, however, looking at a hotel in this price point, I would absolutely stay here again.

Besides the outdated aesthetics my complaints were... there was a fly in our room, there was a dead bug in the fridge, and the floors felt like they were dirty with some residue on them. Also, the shower had a small spot of dirt/mold in the grout. What they did right ..... the pool was nice and refreshing on this hot summer day, the staff was courteous and helpful. Probably won't be back anytime soon, but it was $50 less than other places I was looking at and the area seemed safe, and it worked for what we needed it for (single night in Amarillo).

She gave us a lot of tips on how to book and where to be on the ship. And she always gets us the same rate or better than the internet booking. Free breakfast every morning was delicious, as was the free Blue Bell ice cream every afternoon. Cabin has a small fridge, pod coffeemaker and complimentary pods (McDonald's), games, s'mores kit, flashlight (for nighttime trips to the bathroom), bug repellent, nice towels, and more, not to mention the comfortable beds. HVAC worked quietly and efficiently. Deck out front has BBQ pits and a fire pit along with rocking chairs and a hammock. ONLY complaint was that wasps kept swarming above our door every afternoon. Staff called park maintenance, who responded right away and sprayed. First day, ran out of spray and wasps returned. Second day, sprayed thoroughly and even climbed a ladder to knock down the nest. Yet they were back again the third day when maintenance doused everything in spray; could not sit outside after that and the wasps were still hanging around! That was the only blemish on an otherwise terrific experience.

Family of 6 and we took full advantage of the fridge, microwave, coffee maker (with all the supplies), propane grill and fire pit, nice covered porch with fun seating, plus so many fun games like corn hole and connect 4. There were even extra chairs to pull out when our family staying nearby came over for s'mores (supplies provided). LOVED that all extra bedding for the futon and towels and wash cloths were provided. There was also a bag of ice and jug of water included, plus bug spray, sunscreen, paper towels, hand sanitizer, hand soap, and sanitizer. We also took our 2 dogs and they enjoyed having the a/c and semi fenced yard which gave them a little boundary. The included ice cream and breakfast is yummy at the nearby Trading Post. We were in D and the walk to the bathroom was a little far, but manageable. If you have mobility issues or a tiny bladder, I would recommend trying for cabin A or B as they are closer to the Trading Post which has a bathroom you can use during their open hours and those cabins are also closer to the parking lot if you decide to drive to the nearby bathroom/shower area. The trail to the cabins is easily wheelchair friendly as it is well maintained and only one slight incline at the start. Another perk, to add to ALL the others, is the included wagon use which makes unloading a breeze. Seriously, this is a great place to stay and the views are breathtaking! The cabin is also beautifully decorated. Stay there, you won't regret it!! Yes, there is no bathroom (you can pay the $8 and use the camping toilet), but they are very upfront about that and it's not that big of a hassle unless you just want to be in your room the whole time. It was pricey, but with the added perks and benefit of being down in the canyon and near trails, we felt it was very fairly priced!
