Now that we are…read moremore dependent on our phones that ever, it's imperative you have a device with enough juice to get you though at least 8 hours before going into low power mode. Doing research, I found shops online that you could mail your phone to and they had the best pricing. My problem with that, was being without my phone for 7-10 days. When I started looking around on yelp, many shops had great reviews, but their prices were ridiculous. You can buy a battery for $25 on eBay or Amazon, it's a 30-minute service, So anyone charging you 3 figures is ripping you off. Especially when you consider as a business, you probably buy batteries by the dozen and probably pay closer to $15 each. Service took 45 minutes, cost me $80. I didn't have to mail anything or go without my phone for a week. Honestly, I only have one knock for these guys, they don't appear to want you in the store. I would have much rather liked to take a seat and wait for my device than be booted and asked to come back in 40 minutes. Funny enough, I had just grabbed a bite, had I known I couldn't wait, I would have dropped the phone first then grabbed my bite to pass the time. Either way, they get 5 stars. The price and service were as close to flawless as you can expect.

It is my understanding that the Kent Foss Audio location has recently gained new management. I…read morebrought my truck to Foss to have the windows tinted in late 2024, before the new management and staff took over. The individual that tinted the vehicle did a great job. While I was waiting, I decided to get a previously owned subwoofer installed. This was somewhat complicated because I have a 2024 Tundra. A part was ordered and installation was set up. The individual that installed it decided that I could bring the truck in on Christmas Eve. I decided that I had the time to bring it in. He rushed the install. I assumed that the part that he ordered was installed. I got in my truck and realized that the sound was not what I expected. I decided to tune the amp (which he didn't do) and try to make it work. shortly after having it installed, it started acting up. Randomly cutting out. I decided to pull the trim and look at what was done. The installer never installed the part that was ordered and spliced the RCAs directly into the rear speaker. I called Foss audio and talked to Austin. He informed me that the employee that installed the amp and sub did not work there anymore. Austin had me come in so he could look at the truck and figure out what happened and what to do about it. Austin determined that the install was not right. He scheduled me with a new appointment the very next day. Austin redid the work, free of charge and made everything right. The install was extremely clean. The system sounds great!!!

I paid a premium price for a 360 dash cam with parking monitoring and grill lighting, and what I…read moregot was half-working installs and straight-up incompetence. The dash cam powers on, but the parking monitoring clearly doesn't work. The lighting install was even worse. I was told I must have a "short" in my running lights. When I brought the vehicle back, I showed them exactly what was happening: press the brake, the running lights turn on; release the brake, they turn off. That is NOT normal. The installer literally said, "I've never seen that before," which is wild coming from someone whose job is wiring vehicles. His "fix"? Tie everything into the blinker module and call it good. When I questioned it, he offered to wire the lights so they're always on--completely defeating the purpose of how these lights are designed to function. All I asked for was simple: when the headlights are on, the amber lights should be on. Instead of fixing it, he accused me of giving "three different stories" and talked to me like I didn't know what I was saying. That's insulting and unprofessional. When I asked if this was the best they could do, the answer was basically, "different people wire things differently." Translation: we don't know how to fix it. I finally walked out because it was clear they weren't interested in doing the job correctly--just getting paid. Overpriced, sloppy work, zero accountability, and disrespectful service. I will never return to Foss Audio and strongly recommend taking your money literally anywhere else.

I have bought eight or possibly more, no fewer, batteries from Dyno. I purchase them for one reason…read moremore than any other, quality. If one were interested in proving the point simply take a Dyno battery and a battery from any other supplier such as those through O'Reilly Auto Parts. The O'Reilly are good enough but Dyno are better. Simply weigh each and you will find the Dyno battery about 20% heavier. That is due to Dino's use of more lead. That means you can run down each the same amount and the Dyno Battery will have a reserve of power not available in the O'Reilly battery. There is a reason why all of the fisherman going up the inner passage to the Alaska fisheries use Dyno. Running out of juice in a storm might mean the ship will founder. Where a fisherman's life depends upon the battery, fisherman trust the Dyno battery. The service is far better too. Relative to my own car, a Subaru Legacy, for example, the owner, Mark Allen Knowlton noticed that the battery shelf in my car was appropriate for a 27 series battery despite the manual indicating the lesser 24 series battery was the recommended battery. He recommended I move up to the larger battery though they were relatively close in price. The only difference between the two series is that the 27 has more cells, thus, more cranking capacity though otherwise they are the same, i.e,, the same voltage. This winter, I have noticed the difference. This extra cranking amperage is a big deal when it is cold out. The 27 catches quicker, charges more fully, and assures the start up fuel charge is more consistent with the designed charge because the injectors have full power despite the cranking voltage drain. Far better for the engine and more likely to start immediately. Good for older cars especially. All in all Dyno has all my family's battery business.
