I thought I would try Buddys again. The pizza I have always loved. Thick fluffy inside crispy outside. Right amount of cheese, toppings, sauce. 3rd tine a huge disaster. Deflated $23.00 non filling overly chewy pizza. 3 strikes you're out, Buddy's. Never again. Just close this location. It's horrible. I had my fist bad experience with this location on 2021. I thought I'd give them a try in 2022. Here we are again in 2023. Same quality. Flat lifeless pizza. They're not even trying.

BBQ Chicken Pizza and The DPTV. Delicious!

My fiancé had yet to try Buddy's Pizza ever and tonight was the night. I had the original once before at their main location and already love it. We polished off several sizes this pizza! It is well made from high-quality ingredients and the cheese! Can we talk about the cheese!! The crush is pure parmigiana perfection! It is not greasy at all and I noticed a hint of spice in the tomato sauce but I am a weakling when it comes to heat They put plenty of sauce on as well. I detest a dry pizza slice . It was ready for pick up on time and we used a two dollar coupon off one of the 8 inch large square pizzas found online. I like the style of the box too. Aesthetics matter! We will be recording this for sure again.

    Bread was warm and yummy

I simply adore the original buddy's. This location was a surprise to me when I drove by. Went in and ordered the lunch combo. Cheese slice with buddy bread and a pop. First sign this was not going to be good. No Diet Coke! Lol. They had coke, and Coke Zero. The pizza was cold. It obviously had been sitting out for a while because the box was soaked in grease and it was cold when I ate it in my car after walking out. The bread was good though :-) I'll stick to a sit down restaurant for buddy's from Now on

My FAVORITE Pizza!!! Grew up just a few blocks from the original location on 6 mile & Conant. I have eaten at Sterling Heights, Warren, Farmington Hills, Livonia, Auburn Hills, & Grosse Pointe locations but, I must admit that the original is my most bestest favorite! Nostalgic! Try them! Salad, bread, & pastas also great. Bon appetite! xoxo

This place is great because of the pizza but sometimes the execution misses the mark. For example sometimes the pizza is undercooked or wilted, missing something like the signature crust is lacking proper cooking or something. Otherwise this pizza is the bomb. This location is inside a strip mall so it's kind of small and doesn't have beer or wine. Also, where are the little pepperoni's? They were better by far, anybody older than 30 knows what I'm talking about. Better pizza execution is at the original location on Conant in Hamtramck and a better sit down location is on 13 mile and Van Dyke. Those are closer to 5 Stars.

The BBQ chicken pizza is awesome. We always call ahead for a to go and they are usually late with getting it ready.

Staff was good and lobby clean. However pizza slices were under cooked only has 1 pepperoni on it. Really poor taste and quality.

I like the kale salad, but wish they put less dressing on it. The salmon on the special menu was great, cook with shrimp, and the creamy sauce was very lovely. It's probably the best salmon I had in a while. Chicken parmigiano was good too. We enjoyed the Tiramisu as well. The floor was very sticky and slippery though, I felt I had to be very careful to not to fall.

We were celebrating a birthday, so we decided to pull out all the stops -- and I'm really glad we did. I'll say right up front that the prices are a little higher than what I would normally spend on a meal, but honestly, it was absolutely worth it. They started us off with garlic bread that was incredibly delicious, and from there the experience only got better. Our server, Andrew, was fantastic. He mentioned that they might have been a little short-handed and apologized that he felt he couldn't be as attentive as he normally would be, but honestly, we never would have known. He did an excellent job keeping our water glasses full and making sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. At our table, we ordered the Chicken al Pastaio, Spaghetti Carbonara, Gnocchi Romana, and I had the Chicken Parmigiano. Every dish was excellent. I sampled a few bites from the other plates and genuinely enjoyed all of them. The real highlight for me, though, was the Beggar's Purse appetizer. It was pasta filled with goat cheese and pear, and it was absolutely divine. I can completely understand why they also offer it as a main course because I could have happily eaten an entire plate of it. For dessert, we shared cheesecake and tiramisu. The cheesecake was more traditional than what you'd typically get at places like The Cheesecake Factory, which caught me a little off guard at first, but it was still excellent. The tiramisu was also delicious, and we all got a good laugh when one of our guests accidentally inhaled a little cocoa powder off the top and started coughing and sneezing at the table. It honestly just added to the fun of the evening. At the end of the night, nothing we ordered disappointed, the service was wonderful, and it turned out to be a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. We'll definitely be back.

I tend to order and reorder my favorite meals from the same restaurant. Once I find one, item that…read moreI love, I usually do not try another, unless my favorite meal is no longer available. Because of this, my experience with many other menu items at Salvatore Scallopini on Greater Mack Ave. is limited. That said, I have 2 favorite meals that I hope never disappear from the menu. The first is the Filleto Diana, which is my choice when I celebrate my birthday or Mother's Day. The steak, which are two beef tenderloins, that are sautéed with mushrooms, scallions and garlic in a sauce of brandy cream has been perfection, each time I've ordered it. In May of this year, 2026, I ordered take-out, instead of dining in, and was a little apprehensive because my experience with using take-out at most other restaurants has been that the amount of food, delivered, is usually disappointingly less than when I've dined-in. My experience with this take out that my son picked up for me, was pleasantly surprising in that the restaurant had not skimped on any of the items ordered, a total of 3 complete meals for 3 people. My steak was cooked perfectly, arriving with the warm pink center that "Medium" calls for. It was still very warm, tender, cut like butter, and flavorful. The flavors of the mushrooms, scallions, garlic and brandy cream melded together, enhancing, not covering up, the flavor of the steak. The garlic and scallions did not overpower the mushrooms, and the brandy cream added richness to the dish as a whole. I was not able to finish the entire steak at one sitting, and I even had skipped ordering the soup in order to not "fill up" too soon with the accompanying bread that I love, and side of pasta in a tomato sauce. I ate a little of the excellent mashed potatoes that were included with the meal, and saved the rest for later. The meal was delicious!!! Since the steak still had a pink center, it remained tender and moist after reheating it , later, along with the mashed potatoes and pasta. My other favorite meal that I have ordered several times is "Chicken Tosca", which has a very delicately breaded coating, not too heavy, and barely noticeable, just the right amount to help the sauce coat the chicken and give it additional flavor. The chicken breast is sautéed with mushrooms and a lemon wine sauce. I've rarely added my own salt or pepper to this meal, except just once, where I felt it needed a little boost in the flavor. I'd rather have a meal served with a little less salt, than too much, as salt and pepper can easily be added to taste, after the dish is prepared. I have ordered the Chicken Tosca both as dine-in, and delivered, and, as with the Filleto Diana, the take out meal had as much food as the dine-in meal. The restaurant happily did not skimp! Maybe in the future, I will order a different meal here, whenever I need a new taste experience.........Naw...!
