Buddys towing came to my rescue when my car decided the key wasnt in it after going 85 miles up a mountain highway. Jacob was super professional and good company when the car had to go much farther to a dealership. When the dealership quoted a massive fee I went to rent a car. Before i could get through that red tape, Jacob contacted a qualified mobile locksmith who did the job for a fraction of the dealership quote. Overall great service in every way and helped me get through a situation which presented multiple challenges, as I was a long way from home. Tow truck driver Mike went above and beyond by checking on my husband after his late night shift. They'd spoken earlier when my husband first found his flat tire. Our insurance company completely let us down (for the second time) farming out our towing need in Willow Creek to a company in Santa Rosa! That tow was cancelled by the tow company (of course) too late for us to find another. After seeing my husband still on the side of the road, Mike went back to work and towed my husband home. Threatened us, damaged the car. Filing complaints with state and AAA. Refused efforts to remediate. Car would not start, called AAA to schedule a tow to the mechanic. Fairly routine. Psycho tow driver shows up and refuses to use factory tow mounts on the car. Starts having actual tantrums. Eventually gets the car on the truck, but at the extreme left edge and does not look secure. The driver did not set the parking brake and the car was not secure, The driver hit 70 miles per hour on the way through winding mountain roads. The car arrived with damage to the brakes, stability control and active suspension systems. Attempted to contact the owner who is an acquaintance and was told he would see me in court. His attitude suggests it is something he says frequently. read more

My son and I got stranded in the mountains, 100 miles from the nearest mechanic and 700 miles from our home. Our roadside assistance wasn't able to find a service that would come out that far. Someone local recommended I try Buddy's. They were absolutely willing to come all that way, and considering the distance I was pleasantly surprised to only wait about an hour. The driver was extremely nice and sympathetic and was kind enough to recommend a decent hotel close to where the car was to be repaired. I would absolutely call them again if I needed another tow in that area. read more

Personally, I had a very pleasant experience with Buddy's. I'm traveling to the Oregon coast from Sacramento with my five year old and came into Williow Creek at about two am due to a rattling noise and my oil light (the genie lamp looking thing *lol) flickering on and off.. Don't want to bore you with details so long story short.. Rich, the gentleman who towed us, showed up and took a look. Its a simple fix but because he's not a mechanic, his concern was wanting to make sure its being done correctly! Sooo, he towed us to the coast and the whole way was very pleasant and easy to talk to. His concern for mine and my son's safety didn't go unnoticed and is very very much appreciated! I just had a very good experience with this Buddys - my truck got stuck in the mtns and after AAA messed up where I really was Buddys came, got my truck, kept it in their yard and tried to assist me in finding the right mechanic. On a weekend trip to Humboldt County, I lost my car keys during a walk on Mad River County beach. Buddy's was the service that was brokered and assigned to me by my insurance company. So, a little bit, I didn't have a choice but I'm glad it went down the way it did. Originally the service was set-up to tow to the dealer only - they would be able to open my car and make a new key my agent said. Called the dealer and they were closed till Monday. Great. Needed a key that day. Found a locksmith that would open my car and make a key on the spot. When Buddy's called I asked if they'd mind towing me to a different place than originally arranged. No problem. The gentleman I talked to was very kind and understanding of my predicament. Just because it was a weekend didn't mean it wasn't his problem. He also offered that the tow-truck driver open the car - we thought we might have a spare. When the tow truck driver came he was friendly, fast, and easy to work with. Got the car opened and we found a spare in my fiance's purse! Very glad to have gotten the service we did and to have dealt with the people we talked to. Even though we never found that allusive albino redwood the tow-truck driver told us about on Avenue of the Giants, they helped us out of a jam. Thanks! read more

I was stranded at the rest stop in Salyer, CA by a flat rear tire on my sportbike with no cell phone service from any carrier. Luckily the payphone was functional and I was able to contact AAA. My premier AAA membership would come in handy for the 100 mile tow truck ride to Redding, CA. I had never had a bike towed, so I didn't know what I was in for, but was greatly relieved to see the Buddy's Towing pick up truck pulling a fully-enclosed trailer. We wheeled the bike into the back, the driver strapped it down from 6 points so there was never a concern for it's stability in the back. The driver was a well-mannered and pleasant young man that I was able to converse with comfortably during the whole ride. Unfortunately for me, this happened on a Sunday, so I was unable to leave the bike at the motorocycle shop, so he dropped it off at the hotel near the shop even though I was staying with a friend and not staying there. Overall despite the bummer of not riding the hills I wanted to ride, the tow experience was easy and actually eased the stress I had from the flat tire. I'm sure that there are other instances where customers have had pleasant experiences from this vendor, but have not taken the time to write about them. read more

My Honda was wrecked and they towed it to Trinity Auto using my AAA. Not only did they tow it but they helped my parents find me a snazzy BMW 325I for a good deal to replace my Honda. 9/14/2016 I dropped off my tractor tire Monday a.m. approximately 9 o'clock in the morning told him that I was going to the coast he told me to call him when I was over there in case he needed any part I call him approximately 1 o'clock in the afternoon no one could tell me anything except he would call me back on my cell phone, never received a phone call I ever I went by the next morning which is Tuesday was told that they had to order and entertube from the supply house he have told me it would be ready Tuesday late afternoon, went back Tuesday afternoon said hello to Rick the owner tire still was not ready they said that the tube was then but have not been installed yet because the assistant manager had to leave, went back Wednesday morning approximately 10 o'clock to make sure they had plenty of time that morning to install the the tube to my surprise it had not been installed but a new valve stem had been installed, and on the tire and it was flat, to my surprise the two had not been installed, I found this out when I tried putting air in the tire, it would not hold any air I was approached by the individual that I started dealing with in the beginning and told me to stop doing that I sent to him it has a new stem why would be leaking, in an abrupt voice and angry voice he replied to me I didn't have time and was very nasty about it he also reply to me [you don't know who I am do you!] I finally had enough of his disrespect that I told him that I don't know what your problem is, that I am a customer and I have been waiting for quite time in fact three days for my tire and I had a lot of work to do with the tractor, at which time he said if you don't like it we can just stop here and you can have your time do want to pay for the disposal of the old ertertube! And I replied no low my tires and I will go down to keep the tire and have it at which time he refuse to load my tire and was holding an authority figure over me and referred to himself as the manager and basically the buck stops with him. I requested to speak to Rick the owner and was told that he was in a meeting, so I ended up leaving my tire at this time so I proceeded to go home to which I called Buddy's towing and at to Rick they said he would call me then I received the call from the individual I was dealing with and he informed me that Rick would be in a meeting all day and I said well I will wait till tomorrow at which time he replied with his authority figure will be in a meeting tomorrow as well I informed him that the pen was swifter than sword .customer so I ended up leaving my tire at this time I am going to file this complaint with the authorities Pls have Rick call me read more

The worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. A little back story, there are 4 of us and we are a hardworking band on tour and broke down outside of eureka with a transmission issue on a late Friday, so of course no one could look at it til monday. So after 2 days stuck in a motel 6 we find a spot that will look at our van. We call AAA and they get ahold of Buddys Towing & Auto, first off the dispacther was rude and condescending, and after telling one us to 'Hold on, kid!' After they were apparently frazzled by whatever problem they were having they sent us a driver and said they would be there in an hour. After an hour and 45min 'Richard' showed up. Right off the bat he was condescending and rude (starting to show a pattern here) and after arguing about a few simple points realized he didnt bring the right tow hitch to fit our trailer (after he was going to drive off without the trailer knowing full well we needed it towed also), so he had to go back and get the right hitch after telling us 'you guys aren't even in a hurry, dont worry about it'. After another 30min wait the drive to the auto shop was him telling me he was very high up in his company and that we couldnt even do anything to him and that we were rude and he has the highest customer service rating in the area. He then was unloading our van and broke a fuel line and if we hadn't of said something was going to pretend it was already like that. Then after all that we asked if he could waive the $45 fee for towing the trailer to which he replied, 'you just want everything for free, dont you!?' ...needless to say he left after refusing to give us his last name so we could make a proper report to triple A and THEN said he reported US for being hard to deal with.
