Super nice, knowledgeable, and affordable. On the road from crescent city to Sacramento, it would have been a rough ride if he didn't balance my rear wheel. Fixed her up on the spot, and if I knew the name of the cafe he recommended I'd give them give stars also.

I have waited hours on end several times for several different parts on different occasions only to get a call 10 minutes before closing each and every time. Then I have to speed there to get my part in time. They are extremely unprofessional On the verge of useless but there are zero other options around here can you say monopoly? It wouldn't be such an issue if they weren't such cheapskates, paid their insurance. They said the price of insurance was getting too high and that's why they do not allow people to go in the back and check out cars personally anymore, a shame theyre too Damn lazy and inefficient to do it themselves. It sucks to have zero options when youre working on your car and can work on something but have to wait for some lazy person to do their job. This is the 4th time this has happened, waiting three hours now. Expecting a call 10 mins before closing as usual. Edit to the post, recieved zero call back! Funny thing is when I cled back 2 hours after being patient I got basically told off as if I was being impatient and needed to wait. This is a horrible local business avoid them at all cost.

Make sure to release liability of your car. They got the job done but if I need to junk my car again in the future I will try a different service and hopefully get some cash for the car. They said it would take 2-3weeks but it was gone within 5 days. Overall a mildy unpleasant experience.

Took my classic car to Dan's for a running issue and transmission leak. Had no luck with the…read morerunning issue being fixed, However, this is fine and does not bother me much. They did refer me to someone who may be able to guide me with this problem. Next issue...It was suggested we do a diagnostic to locate the transmission leaks. We went through with the diagnostic, located leaks, a few weeks had gone by, I had to reach out to them. When I did, I was told they dont work on these types of transmissions. I feel as though this could have been said before spending time and money on the diagnostic. I know the transmission has leaks. I dont need to pay someone just to tell me this. Also was told there was trouble with finding seals and replacement parts. This is not and uncommon transmission, old yes, but uncommon no... very large after market. I hopped on ebay and found the parts needed within minutes. Even after all of this being said, it's really not a big deal. Although I did walk out of there with a $500 plus bill and nothing was really done to the car after 8 weeks. Now the biggest issue... it was discussed and agreed that the car was to be left inside at all times during its stay. (it is a prize winning show car) Its clear that this request was not fallowed through with. We are on the coast, so leaving a car like this out for an extended period doesn't do it any good. The paint will now need a full correction and the brightwork will all need to be gone through. There is also knicks and chips that were not there before dropping the car off. The only time this car is out of the garage is when it's being enjoyed. I have no idea what would make someone think it would be acceptable to leave a vehicle of this caliber outside. Its not my fault the car was there for 8 weeks. If it wasn't possible to meet this requirement, I feel something should have been said and I would have gladly accepted it and taken my business to a location that could meet this criteria. If there was an extra fee required to keep it inside I would have happily paid it. I will not be bringing another automobile to this facility, and I would not suggest it to anyone. I received the vehicle back in worse condition than it was when dropped off, which is a real shame. Thats not how it should be. I felt I was really patient and reasonable. I tried to be a good customer, I didn't rush or pester them, and in the end I still paid the bill without trouble. Im extremely disappointed to say the least. I dont think they are bad people but this is definitely not the way a business should treat someone. I hate to even have to write something out like this, but if it saves one person some trouble then it was worth it. Attached are some photos of the car in the lot left ouside. Good luck.
