    ***WARNING...DO NOT SHOP AT FORTUNA NAPA!!!***…read more ***UNLESS YOU EXPECT TO BE SERIOUSLY DISRESPECTED BY JOHN*** NOTE: I've been a NAPA customer for 50Years... a half of a century, and only received superior service, always very well informed employees, that treated all with respect...from Minnesota, Florida and CA in all my auto parts needs being a auto repairman owning my own auto businesses. I have NEVER been so disrespected at a NAPA before I met JOHN. JOHN was seated at the counter of the Fortuna NAPA store Sunday 06/05/2023, when I attempted to return 2 cans of paint to the Arcata store arranged the day before by the Arcata NAPA mngr... JOHN begrudgingly looked up as I stood in front of him, after 30 seconds he finally acknowledged me. I tried to explain that I was there to send the 2 cans to the Arcata store that needed to be re-mixed. Before I could even finish my sentence John interrupted 3 times barking at me saying " WE DONT MIX PAINT" I said "I know, but Arcata does and the Arcata store mngr. arranged for me to drop it off here so you can send it to them on your parts truck" but before I could even finish JOHN barked back "There's no truck on Sunday, so your not getting it delivered there" I replied I know that too, so why dont you just call them or are you going to continue interrupting me before the words even come out of my mouth? I was quite taken aback, when at this point JOHN jumps up, shoves his chair back and comes at me at the counter aggressively yelling " HEY, If your gonna try to start trouble get out of my F'n store." Rather then retaliate, I went out to my truck to get my phone ,so he could be recorded. As I walked out to the car and retrieved it and put it on record , JOHN was following me with the paint cans , coming at me yelling "Your not welcome here "Take your S and leave'' I asked JOHN for his name ,but he refused... I said " Just know I'm not going to let this go and there will be repercussions for your disrespect.'' JOHN came at me yelling "What? What are you gonna do with your P.O.S. 20 year old minivan?"( which actually is kinda HUMEROUS, I mean insulting the van... at an auto parts store?, LOL). However he was quite aggressive following me outside and verbally attacking me...NO L.O.L.. I took the paint cans and recording of him yelling OUTSIDE THE STORE( insulting my van?? ) and proceeded to call Case, the Arcata store mngr.. Case immediately called JOHN while I was still on the line... Case straightened JOHN out apparently and got back on the line and asked me to try again to go to the Fortuna store and drop off the paint cans. I explained that JOHN refused to give his name, it was Case that actually gave it to me. I explained that JOHN had been very aggressive and that I will NEVER go in the Fortuna store again. Case explained to me that he had arranged for JOHN not to be there and the other employee "Named" and would be taking care of me. I replied TY and would be at the Fortuna store in 5 minutes. NOTE: The Arcata NAPA store mngr. Case, has been completely level headed and resolved the problem immediately when presented with it. The other employee greeted me and was very polite I asked him if he was informed about the situation, he said "Not really ,but he would be happy to help me with no disrespect. I said very well, because I will be sending a message that the kind of behavior JOHN displayed is NOT OK, and I will follow up on it. The employee picked up the phone, called Case and sent the cans to Arcata NAPA. That would have been Soooo easy for JOHN to do, but he did not. ***John made the choice to follow me out to my car yelling at me. NOTE: I did manage to record JOHN from the point at which he was insulting my car...OUTSIDE FORTUNA NAPA. I called LIAM LARSEN the Fortuna store's mngr.. and got his cell ph. voice mail. I explained what happened and that I was VERY shook up by being threatened by one of his employees. ***It is now Tuesday afternoon 06/06/2023 and still no response from LIAM after leaving multiple messages. I even gave my business card to the polite employee that helped me, asking that LIAM give me a call. ***STILL NO RESPONSE ***At this time I will be using social media to report what happened at the Fortuna NAPA. ***Including the recording of JOHN threatening me OUTSIDE the NAPA...IN PUBLIC TY Case and the Arcata NAPA for remixing the paint!! and taking care of Fortuna NAPA's disrespect and neglect after the fact...which I now have to drive over an hour to pick up in Arcata when I live in South Fortuna, as I will be boycotting Fortuna NAPA. I will make sure to share this threatening, disrespectful behavior with everyone I know that might use Fortuna NAPA... I've had a successful catering business in Humboldt Co. for 13 years and know a lot of people.

    I had a piece of molding underneath my car come loose. I had been here before, to have my oil…read morechanged, I trusted their work and they were open on a Sunday so I brought it in. They clipped the piece of molding back on for me, and didn't charge me. Since I had been here before, I also asked them to do another oil change. When I picked up the car from the oil change, there was a problem. The oil pressure light, and the check engine light were on. The oil level was good, so I took the car home, and then the following morning, I took the car into a separate shop for a second opinion on what was wrong When they ran the check engine light, it said that the oil pressure sensor was stuck. Apparently what had happened, was during the oil change, a prong from the oil filter had broken loose,, and it was blocking the oil pressure sensor. I went back to Firestone and spoke to the manager. I'm sorry I didn't write down his name He called over to the second shop where my car was, and the mechanic at the second shop explained in detail what had happened. Based on the situation and the explanation, the manager. At Firestone agreed to cover the cost of Getting my car fixed. The sensor situation was fixed with no out-of-pocket cost to myself. As I mentioned, I had been here for oil changes, quite a few times before, and nothing had ever happened. I get it, unfortunately, sometimes things happen. It's not that something happened, it's how the shop handled the situation. They absolutely took care of it to my satisfaction, I got my car fixed, and I would still bring it in for an oil change again. Thank you for taking care of me.

The price they quoted for the parts was approximately 100% more than the actual retail cost. The error code indicated that one of the converters had failed. They decided to change, and charge, for both. In addition the price they quoted for replacing a cabin air filter was $74 for the filter, and $24 for labour. The filter actually costs $11. I called and they told me the cost of the parts are what they are charged by Auto Zone. Of course when I checked on Auto Zone this turned out to be incorrect. My perception is that they tried to take advantage of somebody who has very little experience in dealing with car issues. A really terrible experience.

    The other worst customer service. If you call for a part check at anytime of the day they likely…read morewill not get back to you. They simply can't go out and check if they have a part. I have waited hours on end several times for several different parts on different occasions only to get a call 10 minutes before closing each and every time. Then I have to speed there to get my part in time. They are extremely unprofessional On the verge of useless but there are zero other options around here can you say monopoly? It wouldn't be such an issue if they weren't such cheapskates, paid their insurance. They said the price of insurance was getting too high and that's why they do not allow people to go in the back and check out cars personally anymore, a shame theyre too Damn lazy and inefficient to do it themselves. It sucks to have zero options when youre working on your car and can work on something but have to wait for some lazy person to do their job. This is the 4th time this has happened, waiting three hours now. Expecting a call 10 mins before closing as usual. Edit to the post, recieved zero call back! Funny thing is when I cled back 2 hours after being patient I got basically told off as if I was being impatient and needed to wait. This is a horrible local business avoid them at all cost.

Make sure to release liability of your car. They got the job done but if I need to junk my car again in the future I will try a different service and hopefully get some cash for the car. They said it would take 2-3weeks but it was gone within 5 days. Overall a mildy unpleasant experience.
