A drive-thru and it accommodates tall vehicles

We love a small town ice cream shop when we're on a road trip, especially one that accommodates our camper van in the drive-thru (what a novelty!). We were sold when we spotted Buddy Moo's and its long line wrapping around the building. It must be good! My husband ordered the Avalanche which was huge and very reasonably priced to boot. It also was so thick and chock full of candy. My husband joked that you'd never say this normally, but it was actually more candy than ice cream. There's also so many ice cream flavors available including unusual flavors like Licorice, Peppermint, Mountain Blackberry Revel, Pop Rocks, Playdough and more more. This is a fun place and worth a visit.

We moved to Aberdeen about 3 years ago and had never stopped in to Buddy Moos before. MY OH MY, we are so very happy we did. Not only were we greeted and served with excellent customer service, this ice cream is delicious. Fresh, no freezer burned and generous scoops! This place is pricy but it is a whole experience that brings your heart to sing!! On a side note, this place is inclusive for all people both as customers and they hire people with disabilities who get to feel included and contributing. I am a forever customer of Buddy Moos and highly recommend. read more

Really enjoyed this spot as a last minute treat! Service was top tier, and offered lots of tastes. We split our scoops to get two flavors and it was delicious! They use umpqua icecream. There's also lots of seating with a quirky decor you won't forget. read more

Got floats at the drive through. Excellent experience. He had traditional root beer with vanilla. I had pineapple with coconut. It was the "pinacol" of delight. The staff were fun and friendly. Definitely worth the visit! read more

We were out of town for national ice cream Day, and I'm not sorry. We went to Buddy Moo's and went through the drive-thru. It was super convenient to pull in off of a one-way, go around to the window, and they gave us menus to look at. I am thankful for those menus because they had a long list of flavors, and I had a hard time deciding. We went with Rocky road and spumoni, and the ice cream was delicious. Pick out a flavor that's right for you, and you'll be happy. They even sell their cute little stickers that are on the window. read more

We stopped at Buddy Moo's on a road trip from Olympic National Park down the Oregon coast. We were looking for a local place to grab a treat along the way. This place was wonderful! It is a super cute shop, conveniently located, reasonably priced, and has a dizzying array of creative flavors. I have never seen some of these flavors before, for example, Party Animal (cotton candy with animal crackers), licorice, lemon bar, etc. They had lots of more standard tastes too...I got a coffee ice cream with several chocolate or caramel mix-ins (I can't remember the name or the details but it was delicious). I highly recommend stopping by. read more

On 08/13/2023 at approximately 4:55 PM my wife and I decided it was a good idea to go get us some ice cream because it was about 85 degrees out. We waited in line like most every other good patron in the world to be served. When we were next to get our yummy cold ice cream one of the two girls decided the drive thru window deserved to be served before us and was more important than us. It is what it is, so we waited our turn again.... Then once she was done with the drive thru we were expecting it to be our turn finally.... NOPE she stayed at the window and waited on the next car. Thankfully that car was not ready and wanted to see a menu so we thought this was it, it was finally our turn. As all of this was going on a couple came in after us and walked up to check out the ice cream (which is cool) and wait to be served as well. Well the gal that was letting the drive thru car decide on what they want came over and didn't even make eye contact with us and without asking who was next helped the couple that came in 5 minutes after us. After that I thought we were being PUNKED and walked out. I commented that I guess we are invisible. They were nice enough to say sorry as we walked out. Makes me sad because we support this place and have never had an experience like this before. read more

Holy Cow! (No pun intended) this place knows how to do ice cream and candy. Stopped in for some ice cream on our road trip and we're quite impressed! Sooo many flavors and options! Friendly staff. She cussed the owner out, told him it wasn't fair and that she hadn't read the rules. This was her fault, but she went to every extreme to avoid responsibility. She decided to leave on her own but first wasout of the room you were cussing in front of the other customers and saying loudly you weren't paying for it. You then tried leaving again as Jah walked out from the back. He wasn't going to stop you from leaving, but instead you took this as an opportunity to say again how you shouldn't be responsible. You explaind that you hadn't read the rules before entering. You didn't notice them. (They are posted outside the door, and also inside the arcade) You were getting loud, and using foul language so the owner nicely said you didn't need to fix the game, because you were causing a scene, embarrassing yourself and your kids. Jesse green all you've accomplished is disrespecting a veteran who served our country, and teaching your kids that rules don't apply to them. don't need to follow them. You should be ashamed of the way you behaved, and have now attempted to twist the story to hurt a small business. Whale of a cone is one of the only westport business that stay open year round. I only know the owner from visiting the store 3 or 4 times, but he's always been amazing and kind. And this situation was no different, he showed you nothing but kindness while you behaved like a child.

One scoop is essentially a whole container of it that looks like two or three scoops. So definitely worth the price especially because you get to play Arcade games with the purchase. Arcade games were fun and my friend and I made the rounds and tried to all of them because it during low season and wasn't crowded at all. They didn't have a ton of the arcade games I liked so we didn't end up staying there long. But still Enjoyed the ones I did play. The owner (or what seemed like the owner) was really nice and checked in on us. It definitely felt like a cute local ice cream shop. Unique experience.

As a flight attendant and an unapologetic foodie, I've eaten my way through cities all over the world. You learn pretty quickly when a restaurant is simply serving food versus when it's serving something made with genuine care. This place falls firmly into the second category. The customer service? Just the sweet Rainier cherry on top of an already incredible experience (and yes... go look at their bakery case while you're there). Jocelyn was phenomenal. I asked how this little slice of heaven came to be, and she happily shared the story behind it. One owner spent years as an executive chef at a casino, while the other built a career as a professional baker in Aberdeen. Boy, does that expertise show. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. A little context: I mostly eat pescatarian these days, so when I do splurge on chicken, my expectations are sky high. I've built it up in my head as one of the foods I miss most (right alongside a good ribeye), and it's almost always disappointing. Not this time. This chicken is absolutely ridiculous. They debone a chicken thigh and fry it into the crispiest, juiciest piece of fried chicken I've had in a long time. It's made with a gluten-free batter, which means more people get to enjoy it. And before anyone assumes "gluten-free" means sacrificing flavor... think again. Plenty of great chefs will tell you the best fried coatings come from starches like potato or cornstarch anyway. What really made this meal special, though, was that my partner is vegan. If you've ever dined out with someone who's vegan while you aren't, you know how rare it is for both people to walk away feeling like they had an equally great meal. It almost never happens. Here, it did. She ordered the vegan Indian tacos with corn tortillas, and they looked incredible. She was excited to try the fry bread, and instead of simply serving it, the staff thoughtfully explained it wasn't vegan and helped her choose an alternative. That's the kind of attention to detail you don't forget. Our service was perfectly paced. If you're looking for food in five minutes, there are plenty of places where "cooking" means microwaving something that arrived frozen. This isn't one of those places. Everything tastes intentional, and that takes time. Our food still arrived in under 20 minutes, maybe even less. Slow down, talk to the people you're with, and enjoy the experience. Great food isn't supposed to feel rushed. We stumbled across this gem on our drive home from Ocean Shores, and I'm so glad we did. I only wish it were closer to home because we'd become regulars in a heartbeat. I can't recommend this place enough.

The server was pouring a round of 5 drinks for another table. It was so colorful that I pulled up my phone to take a photo. When she noticed I had done this, she turned all the glasses so the logo showed which made for a much better photo. Very sweet of her to do so. We didn't eat here; so I can't comment on the food. The drinks, service and ambiance were good, though.
