Unfortunately, this one didn't quite measure up. The overall experience felt a bit underwhelming. The space itself could definitely use some TLC -- the furniture looked worn and dated, and it gave off more of a tired, well-used vibe rather than a relaxing pre-flight retreat. One of the bigger misses for me was the lack of accessible power outlets, which is something you really come to rely on when traveling. That said, it wasn't a terrible stop -- just not quite what I've come to expect from premium lounge experiences (as its name would imply). With a refresh and a few updates, it could easily be brought back up to par. For now, it's serviceable, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to revisit.

I saw one that looked like a little cafe and there was no chance I was going to waste it there. After walking a bit I stumbled upon this one, walked a little further and didn't see another one so came here to kill a little bit of time. When I went to check in, I was told that I couldn't be here for more than 2 hours. I don't ever recall being told this in Asia at the Plaza lounges but that was fine. I checked in, took the elevator up and looked around. The area is actually pretty spacious but it's not obvious as there are a few different areas. The thing is, I think there was more people upstairs than there was areas to sit. I went to get a coffee and checked out what they were serving. They were serving breakfast but they were transitioning to lunch so I waited a little longer as the eggs, bacon and other items didn't look that great. When they rolled over the food items, I grabbed a plate of a few lunch items to sample. I had to walk around the area 2 or 3 times to finally find an open seat. I sat down and tried the plate I just put together. It was OK, nothing really stood out from it. They also offered some free drinks. I didn't really pay to much attention to it as I was satisfied with my coffee. There were a few TVs and there was a nice view overlooking the airport. The lounge looks a bit well used as some of the items look like it could use a refresh. Not the worst lounge but definitely nowhere as nice as some of the ones I've been to in the last couple of years.

The sandwich was piled high with meat and plenty of avocado to compliment the tomato and lettuce. Ate one half there and took home the other half. Wife's chowder was excellent. On our visit it was not busy, bso, we were seated immediately. The front of the house staff were welcoming and cordial. We ordered our libations, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and an Old Fashioned. Both hit the right spot! Next up were the appetizers, charred Brussel Sprouts and Truffle Fries. They were a great way to start this dinner. Seasoned perfectly and quite tasty. Our entrees consisted of a Seafood Cioppino with Salmon, Mussels, and Halibut, as well as potatoes, red onions, and cherry tomatoes. My wife chose the. Grilled Salmon with quinoa, tomato, and a butter sauce. Bother were perfectly prepared and did not require additional seasoning. The Salmon was moist and flaky and the seafood stew right on point. My wife had the Apple Strueddle dessert which was great! I had a taste and loved the mixture of spices. For a hotel restaurant we were surprised at the quality of the food preparation.

It was a few years since I last came here and not much has changed. There was a decent amount of open seating with inside views of arriving passengers and outside views of planes and gates. Seats were comfy for our almost two hour stay. The food options included make your own soft tacos, salad, tortilla soup, coleslaw, apples or bananas, refrigerators with sodas, Lavazza coffee maker, cookies, beer on tap and a self serve liquor bar. The tacos and soup were actually pretty tasty. Staff came around periodically to remove the used glasses and plates. When it came time to head to our gate, we only had to allocate less than five minutes to walk over to E74. Very convenient.

She asked for our boarding passes and, after scanning them, immediately told us we couldn't enter because our tickets were not business class. We were confused because we believed we could enter using our AMEX card. However, she quickly dismissed us without explaining any other access options. It wasn't until the male clerk stepped in that we were shown which credit cards were eligible for lounge entry (such as Aeroplan metal cards). While looking at the list, my husband noticed the Chase Sapphire Reserve card -- the last card displayed -- which we have. Only then were we allowed to enter. Unfortunately, the service from the female check-in clerk left a very poor impression. She showed no customer service etiquette, seemed quick to judge that we wouldn't qualify for entry, and offered no effort to help clarify the lounge access options. Her attitude came across as pretentious, as if we didn't belong there. Not the kind of service you want to receive after a 15 hour flight.. To make matters worse, the lounge itself was mediocre. The food was cold and the selection was quite limited.
