Clean, fresh and tasty food! Food is cooked to order, so expect a short wait but well worth it. Original burger concepts and after several visits I can say they maintain consistent food quality, a trait not seen at many local restaurants today. My favorites are the California classic and Big Buddha burgers, I also appreciate the chicken strips. read more

We heard rumors about a burger joint in a gas station and this was it. I got a single cheeseburger with only ketchup while my wife got a double with everything. The burgers lived up to their reputation. While waiting for them, I read thru the signs at the kitchen about their food philosophy of how it was just top quality meat with simple seasoning. I can't quite describe the burgers. They were almost like loose meat sloppy Joes but not. The meat was loosely packed but stayed together. I donno how but it just works and works well. I also had a shake which was okay but not life changing like the burger. We'll gladly come here anytime we're in Pflugerville. read more

Best best burgers. Our Sunday ritual is ordering buddah burger and thy never miss! The fries, chicken strips and any burger are always so good! The Cali classic is my favorite and their milkshakes are the best!!!! My only complaint is they only have one size of milkshake and I need them to get a bigger size because it's my freaking favorite! read more

Very happy to have this place nearby. I had a double cheeseburger here shortly after trying Buddy's burgers and would put it on that level. What I really like about it is the quality of the meat. I've never had a burger with beef that is so meaty and flavorful but also has such a light texture to it. You don't feel super heavy after, but it's still a nice meaty classic burger flavor. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area. read more

Burger was very good, perhaps best in Round Rock. Surprised that it was located in the gas station, but don't let that deter you from trying it. read more

Was in the area for an appointment so grabbed a couple of burgers and a chicken sandwich for my son to take home. The highlights were the food was ready for pickup I believe before the estimated pick up time which is always a plus. I got the big buddha and I got a little buddha for my wife. We both enjoyed the burgers. The sauce is very flavorful, the bun is nice and soft and there is a decent amount of meat in the burger. My son also enjoyed his chicken sandwich although Im sure he would have liked a spicy option. We also got an order of the cajun fries and the poutine fries. Cajun fries were good. Poutine fries were a little salty for my taste. My only complaint here although it probably wouldnt stop me from going again if in the area is I felt like they are a bit pricey when comparing to say a mighty fine, Buddy's, or even a jew boy burger. I felt like the big buddha should have been more at the $10 price point, but i guess with inflation these days it is what it is. read more

The woman at the register was very friendly and helpful (suggesting to remove ketchup and mustard since I wanted the nirvana sauce so the burger wouldn't be too soggy). A+++ service I got a cheeseburger, poutine fries, and an Oreo shake. The burger is hands down the best I've had in the Round Rock/Pflugerville area. The fries weren't too bad, and the Oreo milkshake was good as well. Only recommendation is that the burger and poutine was a bit too salty. Buddha Burger is located in the "G-Mart" gas station store. There is ample parking all around. Atmosphere (4 out of 5): The gas station itself was neat and orderly - definitely on the cleaner side. Unfortunately the seating area was primarily just a waiting counter - it didn't look like a place to eat, so it seemed to be a primarily take-out place. (I also didn't get asked at the counter if I wanted to eat-in or take-out, the food came in a take-out bag by default). Food (4.5 out of 5): An overall really good burger - the patties were very moist and almost literally melted. I appreciated the cook on the patties - it almost resembled a smash burger patty that is twice the standard smash burger patty thickness. The burger was well constructed overall and very easy to eat. I also got a poutine, which came with real cheese curds instead of shredded cheese, and a solid gravy. Even after eating a relatively heavy meal, I didn't feel bloated, which was nice. Value (3.5 out of 5): The value was average overall for a more-gourmet fast-food style burger. It didn't reach a restaurant-burger level of price, and was more expensive than your average fast-food place - so fairly priced overall. Overall, this isn't the absolute best burger I've ever had, but it was a solid burger at a solid price, and I would give it a solid recommendation. read more

I ate here a couple times. Personally I think the hype is a bit too much. The burgers are decent and it is nice that they are made at the ready, but to make this my go to burger joint, it isn't there . I ordered a burger for me and my son the first time and although he said it was "average", we went back in hopes that the chicken sandwich would redeem them based on all the reviews. I was even less impressed with the chicken sandwich. It to was order at the ready however tasted like it was fried in old grease. I mean to the point it had a wicked after taste. It was pounded to oblivion to the point that when I took a bite it simply fell apart. For those prices, I would expect a good balance of bread and meat with each bite. I was soo looking for a burger place that could satisfy my hand made patty cravings that I have oh so often. It was a bonus that it was only 5 minutes away from my home. Honestly the fries were the best thing. They came out fresh and hot and the sauces they have to accompany them made them simply phenomenal. Beware, you have to pay for every sauce you ask for and the push them faithfully and fearlessly as soon as you order. Everything is ala carte so be prepared for that sticker shock. Worth a try once and if you really like it, then you will be a customer who writes those amazing reviews. read more

Probably the best burger I've ever had (California Burger) with their fries and Nirvana sauce. Whenever we have visitors, we take them here and they really enjoy them. They usually ask to come back again ;D. Owner seems friendly, even got a nice hand written note from them once . Also had a time when there was a mix up with our order (which is understandable with how busy it gets sometimes) but he gave us a refund. read more

The burgers are the best. The selection accommodates everyone tastes. Fries and onion rings are really good too.

The last place you'd expect to get a quality meal is the inside of a gas station but that's exactly what you'll get if you visit Buddha Burger. Located behind the Wash N'Roll car wash in the adjacent convenience store, Buddha Burger offers a great authentic burger experience complete with fries and hand spun shakes. They even have onion rings and poutine here-how cool is that? The foundation of the meal starts with ground 100% Black Angus beef, at the heart of their various burger creations. You can choose from one of several burger varieties starting with a simple hamburger and ending with a double burger surrounded by grilled cheese sandwiches. Lots of toppings to choose from including bacon, grilled onions, jalapeños, and grilled mushrooms. I chose to order my double cheeseburger as a lettuce wrap foregoing the potato bun. The burger patties are well cooked, tender, and juicy but I think could benefit from some seasoning. Fries are better than average although not fresh cut (boo) but still tasty. The shakes are made with Ghirardelli ingredients and I think I want to sample one of those on the next visit. If you're not hungry for beef, they also do some very nice looking chicken sandwiches that come breaded or grilled. There are also vegetarian sandwich options if you're not in the mood for meat. This place certainly stays busy and they do a good job of keeping up with the traffic. The team behind the counter is friendly and talkative so it was a nice experience talking burgers with them. The prices are super reasonable, not something you'll often see in Austin and particularly amazing given the quality of the burgers. If you're in Pflugerville and are hankering for a burger this is a can't-miss stop. Recommended. read more

Never thought it'd be into gas station burgers but I'm officially a changed man! All of the food is fresh made to order and finger-lickin-good. Big Buddha: double patty burger. Delicious and flavorful. I cut mine in half and got two meals out of it. Cajun fries: fresh, crispy with a Cajun zing! Love their own spin on the classic French fries. What a gem that's hidden in a gas station! The staff was amazingly friendly and the food was delicious. If I didn't find this place online and with the number of good reviews, I would have 100% missed it! So thanks to everyone who's written a good review for this place because it led me to trying this place and I will absolutely come back. We got a couple cheeseburgers, fries, and shakes. It was later in the evening so they ran out of onion rings so I was a bit bummed about it because everyone raves about the onion rings. It was going to take about 15 minutes for our order to be ready so we did a quick run to HEB nearby. When we came back, we grabbed out food and took it home to eat. Keep in mind, it doesn't make for a good IG food pic but it is friggin' delicious! Keep it up Buddha burger, yall are definitely are keeping my business. read more

This is probably the best burger in the Austin area. It lives up to the hype-juicy, flavorful, beautiful brown bits. They have a lock on the Maillard reaction. It takes awhile to get your food because IT'S MADE TO ORDER. I also don't understand all of the complaints about lack of seating, one register, no drive through, prices, and on and on. Unless you're blind, it's glaringly obvious this place is in a CONVENIENCE STORE!!!! It's unreasonable to expect white tablecloths on a dozen tables at a CONVENIENCE STORE. Where do you want them to seat your two top? In the snack aisle between the corn nuts and the Funyuns? It just happens that their concept is a HIGH-END burger joint in the type of locale usually reserved for hot dogs on a roller grill. Keep docking them stars for things they never promised to be, and see how much you enjoy your 6-hour old taquitos and shriveled roller dog that may or may not be an incubator for the latest Covid strain after they can't sustain their business because of unfair reviews. I was originally going to wax eloquently about the deliciousness of their burgers, but after reading some of the lesser reviews, I decided to spend my time defending this place. Instead I'll let my pictures do the talking. And no, I don't know the owners or any of the staff there. I'm just a customer who happened to stop in. read more

It's the first burger of 2024. Burger Buddha was delicious! The burgers were juicy. The onion rings and fries were crispy. The batter on the onion rings stayed together when you ate them. I enjoyed the Little Buddha burger with Nirvana sauce in the lettuce wrap. The big green lettuce was nice and crisp. There were finely diced onions in the sauce. This was our first time, so we ate there. There's an island with seating inside and tables outside. Next time, we will order to go. If the weather is nice, outdoor seating won't be too bad. The Lady at the counter was so lovely and helpful when we ordered. She also checked in on us to see how everything was. read more

Holy SMOKES. This place is incredible. I thought that I'd always stand by Top Notch being the best burger place in Austin, but after tonight's dinner, Buddha Burger took the crown. My husband and I just got single cheeseburgers and the only regret was not getting doubles. We then had to go back to split an Oreo shake and that was MIND BLOWING. My husband loves shakes, I'm usually impartial to them, but we were fighting over it. All in all, if you're debating going -- DO IT! It threw us off a little it was in a gas station, but a lot of amazing things start off small. There's no doubt in my mind that Buddha Burger will take over Austin. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I'm really glad I did because it was so good! I got the California Classic with a single patty and the Cajun fries. The burger was delicious and fresh. I didn't care for the seasoning on the Cajun fries but that's just my personal preference. The gas station where the restaurant is located was clean and had lots of cool stuff in it. The person who took my order was very friendly and knowledgeable. He even helped me figure out what to get since it was my first visit. I didn't get a picture of my food because I was starving but I'll definitely be going back. read more

Burgers are great Poutine was great. Lacking for ambiance. Regardless...we will just order to go.

Excellent service!!! Very low key, no bells and whistles ambience as within a gas station but service exceptional. Lots of care and kindness by employees and excellent attitudes. I was really torn on how to rate this business but the burger in amazing and it's no wonder they ran out of meat! I waited 45 minutes for my burger after being told no meat for 20 minutes. I'd driven 20 minutes for this burger so what's another 20? It took much longer but was so worth the wait. I thought it was a bit small but oh my gosh it was so delicious! I'll definitely be back for the burger and a shake. Not the fries though- they were barely warm and tasted like chicken! I guess using the same fry grease which is probably normal. Wondering out loud....does that mean their chicken offerings are also fantastic? I will have to try it sometime! So I'll be back but will call ahead to make sure they have beef! The burger is worth the drive! And the place- in a gas station convenience store. Yes there's a fairly comfy waiting area. And the place is super clean. While waiting for the burger the staff changed gloves and managed their prep area and accoutrements that I feel the place is probably one of the cleanest in town! Nice people too!!!!! read more

I found myself in an area devoid of restaurants and came upon Buddha Burger embedded within a convenience store so I popped in for a bite and was pleasantly surprised! The establishment is family owned and operated by a friendly and well organized family. The burgers patties ate made and cooked fresh! They are a bit on the small side with a marginal but good bun; however, very fresh and tasty. This place is tucked away in a Valero gas station. I went here for the Yelp event (about a month ago), and had to go back now they're open. Don't let it scare you because it's in a gas station. They pop out great, huge burgers! It's fresh meat that they flatten out on the griddle, I'm drooling thinking about it. The Buddha burger is a 2 - 1/4 Ib patties with cheese/lettuce/onion/ pickle and the delightful nirvana sauce- Little Buddha (1 - 1/4 lb patty). Gave me Big Mac vibes, but much larger, fresh and tasted yummy. They also have fries, Cajun fries, poutine, onion rings, and gravy fries. I was able to try the Cajun fries and it did not disappoint. Oreo milkshake was delightful and stayed thick all the way to very bottom barely melted by the time finished my meal. On the 2nd visit here I got the little Buddha burger and it was the perfect size for me. Come check this hidden gem out! read more
