I was looking for a good burger and a food truck I wanted to try out was closed. I remember when this restaurant was under construction. This restaurant came up on my Google search results, to my delightful it had many 4 and 5 star reviews. I thought it was going to be an average gas station burger joint so I never thought about coming here until today. When I arrived it was in to the right of the gas station cashier's stations. There's no seating inside for dining so I ordered takeout. I grabbed a single cheeseburger. Which was $6.99. The lady behind the cash register greeted and was very patient and made sure she got my order right. She even brought the burger me when I had walked off to a nearby kart if the store. The burger was really good. The beef tastes like it was put together with high quality ground beef. The taste is very fresh and rich in beef flavor. The bun was soft and fresh. The lettuce and tomatoes were also great in quality. The lettuce was green throughout and the tomatoes were bright red. I only tried the cheeseburger, because I wanted to make sure the other Yelp reviews was right about it. I definitely recommend the burger, because you get high quality for a relatively low price! Next time Im looking forward to trying out the other menu items! read more

This is not your normal gas station hamburger, even though it is in a gas station. It seems most people do DoorDash or other services and have the food delivered. I ordered at the counter and the staff were amazing. They were very helpful in guiding me through the menu and explaining everything to me. I got the Buddha burger, and I can say it is one of the absolute best hamburgers I have ever had. The quality of the meat is amazing. Everything about the burger was fresh and I wanted more. I ordered the onion rings as well. They were very crispy and crunchy, however, had a Cajun seasoning on them that I could have done without. It overpowered the flavor of the onion at times and that is the reason I get an onion ring is to be able to taste the onion. I would have the seasoning as an option. I also got a milkshake. That was extremely delicious. Know if you are going, you can buy fountain drinks separately at the gas station. Be aware there's not a great place to eat at the location. There is some seating inside and some picnic tables outside, but it feels very awkward. I ended up eating in my car. read more

I'm here once a week it's the best burger jn town . Get the California burger with the awaken sauce. Their shakes. Are awesome too

A great Yelp community experience. Did not realize that I had had many meals from this food truck via Door Dash and Uber Eats. Always spot on. Limited on all beverages. Had to go into the Shell station for a cold water. Everyone was tipping which was great to see. Order taker sweet as can be! Confirmed our order twice just to make sure. Explained each type of burger were able to choose from. Both got massive onion rings. Got double California burger and mighty burger. Coked to perfection. Chocolate milkshake was better than Dairy Queen. For a food truck they pump out quality food. Side photo of the truck explains their methods and the quality they give to their customers. Sat in a group area of other yelpers. Most friendly. Some cranky people unfortunately because of the "wait". Was not that long of a wait considering all of the people. Did observe others food and it all looked very very yummy! So glad I got the opportunity to sing their praises read more

I am a fan of burgers and I wouldn't necessarily pay as much as I do at this location, but because I've been coming here since they opened and Yelp had an event, I am dedicated to supporting. I really really enjoy the food and I love the variety of burgers that they offer. I try to keep it simple, but they have me staring at the menu at all the differentchoices that are available now and the pictures are pretty amazing. read more

My favorite burger place in Austin. When you really want a delicious cheat meal get the State of Brado which replaces the buns with TWO GRILLED CHEESES and add nirvana sauce. I say "should we get buddha burger" every other week. Their fries are a huge portion size. One time we drove to the wrong location and by the time we got to the correct one they even redid our fries voluntarily so that we would have fresh ones. Great service. Their toffee cookie is yummy and a no brainer add on. I would pay extra for one with double toffee. Parking is easy as this one is in a gas station. read more

Still the best fast food burger in North Austin. Get some gas, go order a Big Buddha, and send me a thank you note. read more

I was actually craving fries moreso than a burger (I don't eat a ton of meat these days), but where else can you get fries than at a burger shop. This one just happens to be inside of a gas station! I went simple with the burger and got the Little Buddha. It tasted like a fresh good quality burger, not exactly a smash burger but almost. The Buddha sauce is meant to be like the Big Mac sauce, and I found it to be a worthy replacement. Not as acidic or strong as the Big Mac sauce, but definitely tasted much more fresh than it. Cajun fries were great, excellent amount of seasoning, really hit the spot! read more

Had a taste for a nice burger, and I was driving by and saw the sign from the street. I'm surprised that this was sitting in a gas station. Service: Great customer service from the cashier to the cooks in the back and others that prepared your order. The cashier apologized for having me wait while she was assisting additional customers. Provided great saving if needed for my order and assisted with any questions I had about their order. Food: Must I say, when I was in the mood for a good burger, I chose to go to the right place. When I say this burger was a great smash burger....it had me thinking that this could not be coming out of a gas station. The Cajun fries and strawberry milkshake were excellent as well. Again, everything is cooked to order, and the Nirvana sauce was not overpowering. Ketchup and mustard is an option if you don't think you would like the Nirvana sauce. Overall: Again, I didn't think this would be coming from a section out of a gas station. I can't wait to go back again and try additional items that are on the menu. I will them nothing but success in the future, and I would really recommend trying them out and not just once like the Lay's potato chip. LOL! read more

It's inside a gas station but there is seating. We got the poutine, chicken sandwich, chicken tenders and cajun fries. Everything was hot and crispy. However, I thought the batter on my chicken "tenders" was overly salty. I use the word "tenders" because it was more like a giant chicken breast fried rather than tenders. Poutine was okay and fries were good. Loved loved the nirvana sauce. Very nice cashier! read more

Went with a friend to check it out. Got cheeseburgers, poutine, shakes, and chicken strips. Burger was delicious, chicken strips were flat but it made the sauce/chicken ratio better, shakes were delicious. Not a poutine guy but they were tasty if not a little oversauced for my liking. While waiting for my friend, the team approached me a few times to make sure I didn't have any questions about the menu and answered the ones I did thoroughly! Great staff. The space was clean and cared for. They have an island space near to the kitchen to wait for your order, a couple of 4-tops inside and a few picnic tables outside to choose from. Everything was clean and well maintained! Will come back! read more

We've been here a couple times and it's much better than id expected. It's a burger joint in a gas station, but the burgers are far better than you could find at most places in town. The only better burgers, and not by much, are served by a waiter in a carpeted dining room. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised. read more

Pflugerville location Food is good but way over priced for convenience store burger, a large burger is $12 plus tax no fries or drink. Service is average. Ambiance not good, eating in a convenience store is not idea. There several other places to get a good burger at a reasonable price. read more

Buddha burger is located in a gas station convenience store, but the quality is magnificent. After you order, the burgers will take about 15 minutes to come out, but definitely take the time to browse the store. The place is clean and the snack items are pretty diverse with a lot of old school and foreign flavors lining the shelves. When you grab your food, there's a single table available that can seat 5-6 people, so definitely prepare to take out as a backup option. We stopped by on a Wednesday night, so we got the table to ourselves. We ordered the Big Buddha, Crispy Chicken Buddha, Poutine, Onion Rings, and the Salted Caramel and Oreo milkshakes. The beef definitely looked and tasted fresh, and the seasonings are perfect. I ordered my burger with grilled onions and the fried jalapenos. The fried jalapenos are delicious, and I wished there were more thrown in. The fried chicken was tender and juicy, and loved that the chicken itself was seasoned instead of just the batter. Also loved the onion rings. Super crispy and the onions were perfectly soft and flavorful. The poutine was good as well and not overly soggy, although the gravy was a tad salty for my taste. The milkshakes were terrific as well. Overall a pretty fun experience and the staff there were really friendly. read more

I tried Buddha Burger recently and the burgers are among the best I've had. Crispy bun, juicy, flavorful meat... all around tasty. I had the California and my coworker had the State of Brado. I had to finish my compatriot's burger as he was thwarted by the amazing grilled cheese buns. Buddha Burger comes highly recommended. 4 stars just because I would like an indoor venue to enjoy the burgers when it's windy or rainy. read more

The food is pretty good. They cook to order so I probably wouldn't come here if I was in a rush. It's inside a gas station and doesn't really have any space to eat inside...so taking to-go is ideal. The Cajun fries are my favorite and their onion rings are also delicious. This recent visit I got the laughing Buddha that comes with a cheese-filled fried mushroom. It was very tasty and definitely filled me up. On a lighter note, I've also gotten the burger wrapped in lettuce which was also good. The quality of the ingredients are pretty good and way better than other gas station options. read more

This place was pretty delicious! Unfortunately the only three negatives they have going for them are no drive through, only one register to check out, and it is very limited seating if you want to stay and eat. Maybe like a total of five seats only for a seating area. The seating area is around the soda fountain machine and if you're lucky enough to stay and eat you're sitting behind the coffee machine for the gas station. This place definitely needs its own building space with the great food that they're providing. They shouldn't have to compete with the gas station. Hopefully in future they will expand to one of the buildings behind them that are under construction. They have a beef, chicken, and vegetarian options to choose from. Regular fries or Cajun fries. I highly recommend the Cajun fries. They also have milk shakes options to choose from such as vanilla, strawberry, salted caramel. The burgers, you can order a single patty, double or even a triple. I ordered the double cheeseburger and it was pretty decent. However, the sizing is a little smaller than the average hamburger we are used to. But you won't waste any food that's for sure. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One the staff members went above and beyond to mark my order with numbers on my receipt to help me figure out which order was which when I got home. That really did help me out. Overall my experience here was really good and I look forward to coming here again!! read more

I have yet to physically visit Buddha Burger but I've DoorDashed a few orders from them. They're delicious. I appreciate that they toast their buns. Your eyes are bigger than your stomach, but at least that means leftovers or in my case a minor food coma. These burgers take a decent amount of time to make so I highly suggest calling in an order. I always forget and end up waiting but it is worth it. I got the Big Buddha and poutine this time. Really should have gotten the Little Buddha but I'm sure I'll forget and make this delicious mistake again. I like the simple menu and look. It is in a gas station but they took the time and care to create a seating area for those not taking their food to go. read more

We have been here multiple times and are never disappointed! The staff is welcoming and really helpful with suggestions if you aren't sure what to try. The burgers are juicy, the buns are crispy, and the toppings are fresh. Definitely satisfies the craving for a juicy burger. There are multiple sauce options in a range of spice level too. However the BEST things at Buddha Burger are the chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches. The seasoning on the chicken is like nothing I've ever tasted. The tenders are unique in that they are huge but thin and crispy, making them perfect for dipping in sauce. The sandwiches use the same chicken with delicious sauce and fresh toppings. We've enjoyed the cajun fries and poutine as well. 10/10 recommend Buddha Burger!! read more

Burgers were juicy and flavorful and the fries crunchy and not soaked in oil. It's a hidden gem inside of a gas station

Can't find anything not to love about this place. Okay maybe a few Minor things. It is located in a convenient store. It has a small area for eat in diners. The counter is a little low for the stools around it. All minor in my opinion. The service was great. The food was awesome. The portions were plentiful. What else are you looking for at a burger joint. I ordered a single burger and fries. It was more than enough for me as I could not finish all the fries. I look forward to them branching out to a restaurant style shop at some point. They are doing it right. read more

Buddha Burger - Sorry for the poor picture. Great burger and fries. - Burgers Near Me - Pflugerville, Texas

Friendly service, an amazing grilled cheese cheeseburger and a delicious salted caramel shake. This may be inside a gas station, but it's worth a stop. The state of bardo brings double meat patties between double cheeseburger and it's so good. The salted caramel shake was really rich in salted caramel flavor and I loved it. I ordered the poutine fries, but was mildly disappointed. The gravy was a little too bland for me. I'll be going here again because the burger is that good. read more

Very tasty, flavorful and reasonably priced burgers, served inside of a gas station. My son had a regular cheeseburger and I ordered the Big Buddha. I'm glad that they now have a few places where you can sit down to eat now. Hopefully, I'll be able to try their recommended State of Bardo sandwich soon. Buddha burger is inside of a gas station with some limited seating inside. I definitely recommend taking it to go. A smaller menu with all of your favorite items you would expect from your favorite hamburger establishment. What I really enjoyed about this place the owners really put their unique spin and culture on the menu and food. They have about 4-5 burgers you can try. I got the laughing Buddha and California burger. The quality of the meat and ingredients are great and doesn't taste like fast food. Literally the only reason I'm not going 5 stars is because I expected more from the poutine and shake. They were good but I think they were so overshadowed by the burger I was a little disappointed. Now to the burger. It was phenomenal. One of the best I've had to be honest. Seasoned to perfection. Fried jalapeño was a nice touch and the nirvana sauce was really good. My only regret was I didn't try it with a little nicer bun option. 5 star burger. I will be back for sure. read more
