Burger was delicious, chicken strips were flat but it made the sauce/chicken ratio better, shakes were delicious. Not a poutine guy but they were tasty if not a little oversauced for my liking. The Buddha sauce is meant to be like the Big Mac sauce, and I found it to be a worthy replacement. Not as acidic or strong as the Big Mac sauce, but definitely tasted much more fresh than it. Had a taste for a nice burger, and I was driving by and saw the sign from the street. I'm surprised that this was sitting in a gas station. Service: Great customer service from the cashier to the cooks in the back and others that prepared your order. The cashier apologized for having me wait while she was assisting additional customers. Provided great saving if needed for my order and assisted with any questions I had about their order. Food: Must I say, when I was in the mood for a good burger, I chose to go to the right place. When I say this burger was a great smash burger....it had me thinking that this could not be coming out of a gas station. The Cajun fries and strawberry milkshake were excellent as well. Again, everything is cooked to order, and the Nirvana sauce was not overpowering. Ketchup and mustard is an option if you don't think you would like the Nirvana sauce. Overall: Again, I didn't think this would be coming from a section out of a gas station. I can't wait to go back again and try additional items that are on the menu. However the BEST things at Buddha Burger are the chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches. The seasoning on the chicken is like nothing I've ever tasted. The tenders are unique in that they are huge but thin and crispy, making them perfect for dipping in sauce. The sandwiches use the same chicken with delicious sauce and fresh toppings. However, I thought the batter on my chicken "tenders" was overly salty. I use the word "tenders" because it was more like a giant chicken breast fried rather than tenders. A smaller menu with all of your favorite items you would expect from your favorite hamburger establishment. What I really enjoyed about this place the owners really put their unique spin and culture on the menu and food. They have about 4-5 burgers you can try. I got the laughing Buddha and California burger. The quality of the meat and ingredients are great and doesn't taste like fast food. After you order, the burgers will take about 15 minutes to come out, but definitely take the time to browse the store. We stopped by on a Wednesday night, so we got the table to ourselves. We ordered the Big Buddha, Crispy Chicken Buddha, Poutine, Onion Rings, and the Salted Caramel and Oreo milkshakes. The beef definitely looked and tasted fresh, and the seasonings are perfect. I ordered my burger with grilled onions and the fried jalapenos. The fried jalapenos are delicious, and I wished there were more thrown in. The fried chicken was tender and juicy, and loved that the chicken itself was seasoned instead of just the batter. The food is pretty good. They cook to order so I probably wouldn't come here if I was in a rush. It's inside a gas station and doesn't really have any space to eat inside...so taking to-go is ideal. The Cajun fries are my favorite and their onion rings are also delicious. This recent visit I got the laughing Buddha that comes with a cheese-filled fried mushroom. It was very tasty and definitely filled me up. On a lighter note, I've also gotten the burger wrapped in lettuce which was also good. Unfortunately the only three negatives they have going for them are no drive through, only one register to check out, and it is very limited seating if you want to stay and eat. Maybe like a total of five seats only for a seating area. The seating area is around the soda fountain machine and if you're lucky enough to stay and eat you're sitting behind the coffee machine for the gas station. This place definitely needs its own building space with the great food that they're providing. They shouldn't have to compete with the gas station. Hopefully in future they will expand to one of the buildings behind them that are under construction. They have a beef, chicken, and vegetarian options to choose from. Regular fries or Cajun fries. I highly recommend the Cajun fries. They also have milk shakes options to choose from such as vanilla, strawberry, salted caramel. The burgers, you can order a single patty, double or even a triple. I ordered the double cheeseburger and it was pretty decent. However, the sizing is a little smaller than the average hamburger we are used to. But you won't waste any food that's for sure. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One the staff members went above and beyond to mark my order with numbers on my receipt to help me figure out which order was which when I got home. The counter is a little low for the stools around it. All minor in my opinion. The service was great. The food was awesome. The portions were plentiful.
