First and last time in this store. Poor customer service- It is clear that they are used to treating people of color with complete disrespect. After being followed around the store for the first 10 mins I tried to ignore the behavior and go try on the items I had picked out. While in the dressing room trying on about 7 or 8 items and changing I was repeatedly asked to give back the items that I did not want. I had not even made a decision-I was floored that in the middle of me trying on clothes-she wanted me to open the door and give her shirts/shorts back that I hadn't even made a decision about. I did not get to even finish trying on the clothes before giving up and putting my clothes back on. At no point did I feel welcomed or valued as a customer. She showed complete lack of respect for my privacy in the dressing room and basic courtesy. I am sure I am not the first person to be treated like this at this location but I do hope that I am the last. I went right next door to Banana Republic and had a wonderful experience. Please do not shop here -there are other locations that will treat their customers this way. read more

I typically don't review chain stores, but the customer service at The Buckle is above and beyond fabulous! I visited this store a few times to purchase two pairs of jeans. The first visit, I was assisted by an amazing rep that helped me with jean selection, and fitting; she was so helpful, patient, and kind. The second visit I dropped off a pair of jeans for altering that I had shipped to my house. It was a different rep, but once again, there was the same patience and kindness. Fast forward month to today, I picked up the last pair of jeans I dropped off for alterations, and the rep was once again, nothing short of wonderful! I explained my jeans were probably long overdue to be picked up, but she went in back without hesitation, the rep reappeared with a smile and my jeans. I felt bad that it took me so long to get back to the store, but The Buckle treated me remarkably each visit. Now, here's the reason for four stars versus five. The jeans are very comfortable, but very trendy. I really need a "nice" pair of dark washed jeans, and The Buckle was unable to deliver. Customer Service: 50 out of 50 I have never had an issue with this store and I shop there often. So much so that some of them know me by name. They always have enough staff to make sure that the store is fully covered and everyone is helped. They will help you find your clothing, open a dressing room to hold your close in while you continue shopping, give you suggestions/tips on matching (as a guy I need help with this sometimes) and hem your jeans for free if you need them adjusted. They do it all and make you feel very welcome to their store. Cleanliness/Stocked Goods: 23 out of 25 If I was just basing this off of cleanliness they would receive a 25 out of 25 but they do not always have what I am looking for in stock. Some of the clothing that is on the website is not always in store. This is nothing overly bad and should be expected at most stores and that is why I'm not deducting a ton of points. Overall they do a great job. Value to Price: 25 out of 25 Now this is where I may get knocked down a bit.... I think that the value is all there. The clothing is top notch and their jeans last years over buying a $25.00 pair of Wal-Mart jeans and are way more comfortable. I would rather wear 2 pairs of jeans from buckle on a regular basis over having multiple pairs of cheap uncomfortable jeans. But when you shop at Buckle it is not only the clothing that provides value. You get world class attention while you are in the store. I have to give this place a 5-star based on the customer service alone. I understand the Buckle is not a great value, that is why I shop here about as much as I dine at Tony's. But unlike some other high end establishments where you don't always get good service for the price, that is not true here. The jeans are really the only reason I come here. They offer free alterations and I rarely can buy a pair of jeans and not need them altered in length. A couple of weeks ago a button started coming off one of my jeans and they fixed it for free. Everytime I have visited the store, you aren't ignored. They are super friendly and smile when they greet you, but don't shadow you around the whole time. And when I have to visit for the uncomfortable gift shopping for my wife, they make the experience a lot less awkward by offering suggestions and asking the right questions. The Buckle has done a great job training their employees in customer service and that will keep me coming back. read more

After searching and searching for jeans that fit me properly, I finally found them!! Seriously, I tried everywhere! I would find a pair that looked okay in the store, but after wearing them for a few hours, they lost their shape. Not the case with their jeans!!! Finally, I found a pair of jeans that make my butt look cute all day! Not just for 5 minutes! The sales staff was excellent, taking their time to assist me in finding 2 pair of jeans that really fit. They graciously helped me try on just about every pair in the store, giving me honest opinions on how each looked. They didn't bat an eye when I would try on the same style in 3 different sizes. If you need jeans, you have to give them a shot! I went on the recommendation of a friend, and plan on telling everyone about them! I want to approach strangers whose jeans don't fit properly and tell them. That would probably not go over well, so I am telling my fellow yelpers! There are other items in the store, but I went in search of jeans. I will update my review when I go back and check out their other items. Wait... I really like the clothes here, but one of the biggest issues with this place is the employees hounding you to make a sale. I know that's an aspect with mall shopping, but it really annoys me. I am one of those customers who enjoys looking at my own pace. I want to be free to browse around like if I'm in a department store. I know what I like, I know my size, and if I see something that catches my eye, I will purchase it. I don't need an employee asking me what I'm interested in and what I'm looking for. I am literally in the store - I can see for myself what I'm interested in and what the store has to sell, and if I have a question about an item then I will ask it. One time I was in this store looking at jeans and checking out the sizes. Then this employee, and I know she was just trying to be friendly and helpful and doing what her boss says to do, starts hounded me with 20 questions: "What are you interested in, what are you looking for, yada yada yada..." Then I told her jeans and she goes on to tell me a folktale story about jeans for 20 minutes from way yonder in the Wild Wild West. Then she told me about all the different styles of jeans they had "these are skinny, these are slim, they'll fit this way," on and on and on ... everything I can already see for myself RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. Then she literally put a pair of jeans in my hand, and said "here I'll let you look at these." Really? I didn't ask her to put those in my hand. I can see everything for myself and know about the different styles of jeans and how they fit. I do not need any help with that. I know they are pressured to make a sale, but that's not the way to do it with me. You're better off making a sale if you let me browse at my own pace. When another customer asked her a question, I took that opportunity to dart out of the place, as I was uncomfortable with all the hounding. Dear Buckle owner(s): Let customers browse on their own. This place should not have similar policies in place to a car lot. It is a retail clothing store. People generally know their size and know what catches their eye without persistence. read more
