They scan your feet and step, then they can suggest three pairs to choose from. This was my fourth time there, second time this year. I had an excellent experience together with a friendly and helpful young man named Gabe. He walked me through my volumental foot scan and explained each measurement. He encouraged dialogue and was well-informed on the various fits of the shoes in stock. The pair I bought in early August are so amazing, I went from walking three miles, three times a week, to walking 17 miles last week. Of course, this is dedicated exercise miles, and not including my daily steps of cleaning, shopping, or working. I went back today and learned a lot and ordered a second pair with a firmer support to rotate with my previous, softer soles. I'm very excited to wear my new pair when they arrive in two days. Thanks, Fleet Feet, you've changed my work out game!

I don't remember the name of the gal who helped us, but she was great! She was very knowledgeable about the various brands/styles they carried. She was also friendly and personable. My daughter was asked to do something on two pieces of equipment (for lack of a better word). This gave the staff member information that helped her narrow down what shoes would be best for my daughter. There had already been questions asked about what the shoes would be used for, etc. A few different brands and sizes were brought out and tried on and walked around in. Pros and cons were discussed and a shoe was chosen. A lot happened while we were there, but it didn't take a long time and things kept moving. We were never sitting there waiting for long periods of time. I've been to buy athletic shoes at another well known store and the process takes entirely too long. I'll try Fleet Feet next time!

Exchanging shoes on a Friday night w my kids is not something I was looking forward to. Instead-it was quick and easy and here is what a customer wants to see when he turns the corner in to your store- a smiling employee standing on station (just inside store) waiting to receive customers-making eye contact,being personable and well spoken- that is exactly what quortney did(sorry I prob goofed name but prob 28 year old African American w piercings) I was crabby going in but she made it impossible to stay that way, made the exchange very quick and easy and no hassle. She engaged my kids and talked about music and about t shirts in store which we ended up buying two of. The store was clean and nobody was texting on their phone or doing anything other than engaging customers or cleaning the store while we were in there. They tried and tried to get me to take on a credit card in my name. I assume they don't understand the word NO!! They wouldn't leave it alone, I guess the manager was training the new cashier. I just told them to forget it, I wasn't spending my money there and walked out. Rude cashier and manager. If they can't take NO for a simple answer, they shouldn't bother asking people and quit trying to push services onto people that don't want it. I won't shop at the store. Around February, I bought these boots because they looked great. Several months in, I get a scuff…read moremark on them. Much to my surprise, regular shoe polish nor boot cream could remove it. I had to go to a shoe repair place to learn that the goat leather of these boots and the way Cavenders colored them makes them easy to scuff and necessitates an actual leather dye or shoe spray to cover up. Per the shoe repair place, the dye used is not an oil-based dye but some other process where the dye does not penetrate into the leather. I will have to pay $50-$100 dollars to get them stripped of whatever is on them to put an oil-based dye on them and hopefully be able to put some type of treatment on them to guard against scuffing. When I contacted Cavenders to see what could be done to resolve this, they would only look at them to see if there was a manufacturer's defect. But, there isn't one because they know the process that they used to color these boots. While this boot looks great, scuffing is a huge problem that makes this purchase not good at all! And I hate because these were the first pair of new boots that I ever bought. It is a shame because initially the customer service at Cavender's was really great. But, now that I have a problem, I suddenly have problems. The website customer service could do nothing. When I asked for the corporate number to complain, I got a number with a system where you have to know the extension or the name of a specific person. I could never get to a live person to speak to. Whatever you do, don't buy this boot, even while it is on sale. It has been on sale since at least February when I bought mine. I am starting to think that they put it on sale because of problems that they have had with these boots.
