It's nothing like going to a concert out of a state to see your favorite artists. This past week I had the pleasure of coming here, and I had a great experience. I saw Chicago legend Common & New York legend Pete Rock. They killed the show, and I like how intimate the venue feels as well. This is definitely a great spot for concerts of all genres.

Came here for the Trampled by Turtles show recently (saw them here also in 2018). Okay small/medium venue with decent acoustics. The Fast Pass options for getting to the head of the line and VIP section are an absolute rip off and DO not get goaded into getting those. I have never had trouble waiting in a short line getting into shows here and the VIP section is just a private bar on the 2nd floor (so not ideal if you are in General seating and want to secure a clutch spot near the front of the stage early, which I always do and honestly not necessary for the bar aspect, even if you want a drink quickly.) Parking is a bit of a luck of the draw in this area. There are very few street spots and you will likely need to park in a paid lot. I lucked out and got one of the last spots availability at the little hotel across the street for $20 but don't know how many times I would have had to circle around if that didn't work out. Drinks are what I've come to expect at shows run by Live Nation: way overpriced liquor options, but at least really good selection of local beers. They have two large bars in the entrance hall and one small one inside the concert venue. The one real downer of my most recent show experience was how packed they allowed the venue to get. It was difficult to even walk to the bathroom they stuffed so many people in the venue -- very different from my experience seeing the exact same band at a crowded, but not claustrophobic show in 2018.

This venue was great! Not too big, parking garage right next door and felt safe. Staff was friendly and helpful! Loved the old theater feel with the glowing lights, the sound was also fantastic. I ate food from the upstairs VIP lounge and it was excellent! The bartender upstairs was fantastic also. Would definitely recommend! And I hope to attend more shows here!

Love the way the floor is sloped so you can see from the back easily. Staff is awesome. Only complaint is the tiny shots at the bar. 10 bucks for like half a shot is crazy.

Hubby and I went to see Mother's Finest Saturday past for our anniversary. I like the venue. It's small and intimate. Yes the chairs are old and the drinks are high. But it has great acoustics and we all partied like rock stars. We will definitely return if it's someone we like

What a beautiful venue! I came to Atlanta for a concert recently at the Buckhead Theater and had a great time! From the pleasant staff, the good acoustics and the (shockingly) clean for the entire show restrooms - it was a great experience. The food options weren't great - but it's not really designed for that and drinks were fine and priced normally for a concert venue. Say what you will about Live Nation venues, but they are consistent in the product they offer and that's a pretty good thing.

I was at Buckhead Theatre many moons ago for a Christmas party of the then tech unicorn that I'd worked for. I remember enjoying the space then and I got to return this past weekend to check off a bucket list item. AT and I bought tickets in January 2020 for the La Oreja de Van Gogh concert that was planned for June 2020. We all know what happened between the two months, subsequently leading to the cancelation (but really, just a rescheduling) of the event. I ended up taking the refund, since I didn't know when concerts would happen again. Thankfully, it wasn't too long (in the grand scheme of things--though this damn pandemic has been too long as it is). Anyway, one of my favorite bands of ALL TIME touched down in Atlanta this first weekend of November and literally blew my gotdamn mind (alongside my sister, since someone had to stay at home with our kid :P). I always thought I would go to Spain to see La Oreja de Van Gogh or maybe Miami or Latin America. And I may very well do that some day. But I'm pretty frikkin' pleased that I got to see them at the intimate Buckhead Theatre, right here at home. The night was pure magic, thanks to the venue and the amazingly talented artists. Por eso esperaba con la carita empapada a que llegaras con rosas, con mil rosas para mí.

A very good place to see a concert. Nice sized bar and a decent sized floor. Decent parking around the area.

Ask the Community - Buckhead Theatre

How early should I arrive to a concert here if I want to be able to stand close?

I believe this is paid seating only. You need to buy your ticket early enough to get in for a front row . Not sure they do open standing. If in doubt always call the venue.

Can anybody tell me what type of seats, the actual physical seat, is placed on the floor area? We are handicapped and have found that some types of “theater seats“ are not very friendly. Are these merely folding chairs without armrests?

The chairs do have armrest and a decent cushion.

Has anyone ever paid for "priority entry" concert tickets at the Buckhead Theatre? I'm seeing my favorite artist there so I want to be close. However, since we will be standing, I'm not sure it is worth spending another $20.

I did for the Matty B concert....we were standing too...if you plan on getting there early i dont think it makes a difference...i got there early and was a the stage ppl who arrived later had to stand way in the back which is not ideal if you are a… Read more

Whisky Mistress - Looking for ambience? You won't get it here. Food served at our table in styrofoam containers. Tacky!

Went to Whisky Mistress and left with mixed feelings. Let's start with the good. The live music and…read moredrinks are the real draw. The vibe is fun once things get going, but be prepared to wait. Live music started over an hour late, and there's not much standing room, so I'd recommend reserving a table. Now, onto the food. I ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos (three to a plate), which were supposed to be fried shrimp topped with Asian slaw and boom boom sauce. What I got instead? Iceberg lettuce, shredded cheese, and a light drizzle of sauce. Not what was described or expected, or worth $20. Only bottled water available - small bottles for $5+. I declined. The price point overall didn't make much sense throughout the entire menu. To top it off, my friend ordered a Moscato and was given the wrong wine - Chardonnay, if I remember correctly. The waitress initially pushed back, but as the wine aficionado of the group, I could confidently say it wasn't Moscato. She eventually took it back to the bar, apologized, and swapped it. Would we go back? Yes--for the drinks and live music, once the night hits its stride. But for food? Not so much.

They have an indoor and outdoor area on Sundays and the music is always good. People are friendly and it's a vibrant atmosphere. The only reason I wouldn't give this place five stars is because the food is just OK. I ordered the shrimp pasta and it had what tasted like almost no seasoning. Everything was cooked nicely. The shrimp was cooked nicely and the pasta was as well but it just needed some salt and I was disappointed because they gave me plastic cutleries and I was looking to see if they had the little salt and black pepper packet in it and it didn't so I couldn't even add any salt on top to make it a little bit more flavorful. I still definitely love this place though for the drinks and just a good time. I absolutely recommend this place because it is a lot of fun.

The venue itself has tiered, very comfortable, metal benches with backs and there's lots of legroom so even if you're in the middle, it's an easy stroll where you're not stepping on people's feet and kicking over drinks by accident. The walk in was fine. We were full of energy and ready for the show. Then we walked out in a deluge. It was pouring, and we still had fun. What a memory! We enjoyed half a concert at the amphiteatre, and we have two scheduled for this autumn. The first concert was great. It was easy to get in. The staff was helpful. There were enough drinks vendors. We sat on the lawn for this concert. They had some built in step-seats which made it a bit more comfortable, though it felt a bit corralled or gated in. The sound was good, clear, which is challenging for this type of outdoor venue. The staff did a great job handling the rain. They gave it a chance to blow through and as soon as they realized that wasn't going to happen, they got us moving. They were firm, polite, and efficient in what could have been a stressful, disappointing situation for many.
