Service is fast and friendly; the server was very patient in explaining some of the more foreign sounding dishes. I shudder to think what the large pho bowls are like, because the small bowls are huge and a challenge to finish. The pho menu is a little confusing to first-timers, with options like "meatballs only," "tripe only," or "signature," but we know for next time. The fried dough stick is straight up elephant ear at the county fair- in the best possible way. The broth was flavored well, noodles are the right consistency, and they are generous with the side of add-ons (jalapeno, basil, sprouts, lime, sauces). Most of the drinks are very sweet it seems (even ones like hot cappuccino, which could go either way). I tried the sam bo luong on a whim and it tasted DE-licious, though it looks kind of like the bottom of a pond. The one complaint we shared was that it was cold in the restaurant, a result of their having a delivery coming in the back, being seated in the path of the door, and it being a generally crappy February day. Solution? More sriracha! read more

I had high expectations. My wife ordered the well done beef Pho. It had no flavor at all...so bland. I ordered the rice dish with chicken. It also was super bland. I had to squirt a lot of Sriracha to make it edible. I really enjoyed the shrimp spring rolls. They were very very good. Unfortunately, that isn't enough for me to dine there again. read more

Food was decent but I've had better Pho and service was ok. Just looked at my receipt and realized that they rounded up a cent on my total bill to make it $**.50 instead of $**.49 (which I had written) on my bill without my authorization. I'm letting it go because it was a penny but buyer beware! Better check your statements when it comes! read more

My family loves this restaurant. I have eaten the real deal in a Vietnamese home many times and this food is just as good. It's my kids' favorite restaurant and they've been going since age 4. Service is fast and courteous. read more

I liked the pho I got, I always order chicken shrimp pho & I liked how it was prepped. Good chicken, shrimp not over cooked but it's not a traditional style restaurant which kinda sucks but very nice & modern. There were too many ppl working, uncomfortable eating @ the counter top w workers in ur face. I don't like "too attentive" customer service cuz u feel rushed & I get annoyed, I jus wana eat my pho. Plus the place was small, walk right in & bam tables & barely somewhere to stand when there is a line formed. I won't go outa my way but it's a place I dnt mind coming back if I'm in the area. Also it was loud. read more

Every time we go there, it's always a wait. But it's worth the wait!! We've only had the pho and bahn mi. And both are delicious!! The pho broth was flavorful! Didn't have to add much seasoning, only Sriracha. read more

Friendly staff, ok pho, good banh mi. Because of the staff and banh mi, I might give this place another try!

I crave this pho on cold days! I can't say I'm a pho expert, but I've had it at 2 other restaurants in Columbus, and this stuff is my favorite. The banh mi is excellent as well. Huge portions, decent prices and nice staff. read more

I know we all have different likes but my one pho experience here was outstanding. Although I am just passing through town, I have lots of experience eating pho - from Little Saigon (CA) to Hanoi, Vietnam. To me, tHe broth is always the key part but you got to have good meat and noodles too. I think Buckeye Pho has found the right formula. I am just disappointed I don't live nearby. read more

This is our go to spot for pho. My boyfriend comes here so often that all the servers know his name. The pho is great. We usually get the signature. We also like to get the lettuce wraps and the sandwiches here. I liked lac viet's (now closed) sandwiches better but these are still pretty good. Great friendly atmosphere. :) read more

Like others posted here. Pho is so so. Somewhat inconsistent. Owner is unfriendly and tries to get you seated at the counter instead of easily separating a couple of tables. Says they are reserved even though there is no reserved sign on it. Better places to go for pho! read more

live right across the street which makes the fact that they don't deliver a moot point. ordered and food was ready in 10-15 minutes. well packaged with noodles, meat, soup contents in a container, and some really hot soup in another. poured it all in and let it sit then dug in. great flavor to the pho broth. summer rolls were good, love the sauce that comes with them. def had enough food for 2 meals. read more

Came in a cold rainy day, so the Pho was especially tasty and warming. Everything you would expect - great tastes. Very fast service. No surprises. read more

Yum yum yum yum yum (x infinity)! Delicious! I always get takeout from here and have never eaten in the restaurant. The takeout is so delicious so can only imagine what it's like to eat it when it first comes out of the kitchen. Fantastic banh mi and awesome pho broth! read more

Coming from SAn Francisco, I naturally have higher standards for pho. The pho here is very average. The broth is good but uses a good amount of cane juice and not super infused with beef flavors. Portions are SMALL. their large is really a small. And overpriced for a pho place, especially in Ohio. Their banh min is better then their pho. Very good baguette with fresh ingredients inside. Their sandwich is like a half foot long for 6.25 which again is double the price of a banh min for that size. This are prob charging so much bc options for pho are limited in Ohio. read more

This is my favorite pho noodles place. The broth is really tasty, the portions are generous and the staff is very friendly. The only down side is they are now closed in Wednesdays. read more

I can't say what true Vietnamese pho should taste like but I know for sure that even home made authentic food is different in every household. That being said, I'm so happy there's a clean and yummy new pho place in Columbus. So far I have only had their raw beef pho and cha gio but I do like it. Other than here, I usually go to China Jade because I am used to their pho and eggrolls but Buckeye Pho is definitely cleaner and has better service. read more

Pho bowls are small even for large. Not a lot of meat or noodles for an $8 bowl of noodles. Maybe I Am comparing this to Philly pho which is a big pho town. They can do better. However, service and decor are fantastic! Kid friendly so bring the kiddies! read more

This was my first time trying Vietnamese. I'm so glad we chose to eat here. The service was great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was extremely fresh and hot. My bowl of pho was so big that I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I cant wait to try more items off the menu. I'll definitely be coming back to this gem. read more

Very good clean nice environment good food good price on lettuce wraps good portions

Best pho in Columbus period. Friendly and courtesy staff. Not your whole in the wall place also. Modern and up tempo atmosphere.

Consistently pleases. Amazing food, time and time again. Pho is one of my favorite foods, and I've had a lot of it, and this place always hits a homerun. Double rare steak beef noodle pho is to die for. Crab Rangoon is really good as well. First review on Yelp here. Writing as I sit waiting for my pho! read more

Great food, fast and nice service, and great price! Server blonde girl is great with big smile and recommendation. Always checking on us, yet never annoying. Tried Vermicelli for first time. Great recommendation for warm day like today instead of Pho. read more

Best pho in Columbus. Great service and nice atmosphere. We eat here regularly!! Highly recommend!!

It's Pho..... It's appropriately priced with good service and good prices. There isn't much else to say. Pho is Pho.

Veggie pho was fantastic! Get extra veggies though. Add some sriracha and chili garlic sauce and it will have a good spicy flavor to it.

OK, let me start off by saying that I have tried Pho in many different forms and permutations and I normally just equate it with beef ramen I could have made at home for a quarter, rather than whatever I paid for it. A notable exception is Lan Viet in the north market, which is good, but still not really memorable. Buckeye Pho is probably the best I have ever tried. The combination of a really light but complex broth, beautiful and crisp veggies, and perfectly boiled meat made it a great meal to remember. The pork/shrimp spring rolls I ordered with it were not particularly impressive, but they weren't bad and the dipping sauce was perfect. I've heard a lot saying that the other menu items are sub-par. I don't care. If I go to a restaurant with the word 'Pho' in the name, I will probably be eating the Pho. It was made exactly as I hoped, and I would eat here again in a heartbeat. If you want a great bowl of insanely tasty Vietnamese soup, this is the place! read more

I have been to Vietnam four times for a total time over two years and will go back for trip five in a few months. I have had "real" Vietnamese food many times, and the food at Buckeye Pho is very close to what I have in Vietnam. Staff are super friendly and helpful and is the owner. Best Vietnamese in Columbus. read more

was trying to find a good Vietnamese place in Columbus - and I will look no further! fast, attentive service, huge portions, and obviously all freshly made. the spring rolls are to die for and the bubble smoothies are also a treat. the restaurant itself is very clean and modern, something you don't find with a lot of other Vietnamese restaurants. our waiter was friendly and helpful and the food came out quickly. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone looking for fast and fresh Vietnamese! read more

Service here is alway fast and friendly. Servings are large and worth the price and the food is delicious.

If you like pho. This is the place. Small attentive staff for small location. Great value for the amount of food you get. Food is fresh. Side note, place is hard to find. It's behind the burger place / across from Wendy's. read more

Since my last review, I have found a decrease in the quality of the pho - not as much flavor. So, now I go to Pho Asian Noodle House & Grill on Lane Ave. for my pho fix. Instead, now, I go to Buckeye Pho for their banh mi, which is the best I have found so far in Columbus. The bread is crusty and great. The vegetables are fresh and crisp, and the meat is generous and well-proportioned. Good stuff. read more

The food is great, the service not so much. The servers are not rude, just inexperienced and IMO for this kind of restaurant, unnecessary. They should do what other restaurants do (like Five Guys next door) -- you go to the counter, place your order then wait for it to be called out. No waiters (saves on restaurant overhead and customer tips), just great food. read more

I wanted Vietnamese food today so I went to Buckeye Pho and had Mi Quang, which was so good. The broth was so good, I felt like I was enjoying it in Vietnam. The staff and owner were so nice and service was fast, I expected a longer wait since I was there during lunch. I found my favorite place for Vietnamese food. I will make many more trips there. read more

I went there with my wife and two kids. The decor is pretty nice with flat panels with different sports on, kinda feels like a sports bar with an open concept where you can see into the kitchen. The tables were pretty close to each other, we felt scrunched up, feels like if I'd turn around I would've Hit the lady behind me into her pho bowl. (it was that tight) the place is really loud you can hear them in the kitchen and four different tv's on blast. So off to the food... We ordered two pho, banh coun, banh mi, summer rolls, iced coffee. I felt the pho broth there is salty and overly MSG, We even asked for sugar but that didn't even help. The banh coun was pretty portioned and tasty, the banh mi is not compared to other place but not bad. And you can't go wrong with summer rolls... Overall this place is supposed to be a specialty pho place. But it doesn't make the cut for me. Theres Better places for pho in Columbus. read more

Came here during a quick family road trip. I had the Pho Dac Biet. Their pho was ok, average. We ordered their banh mi's to go because that what the reviews said one of their best dishes is. Banh mi was ok too. The veggies were average. The deli meat could use a little more flavor. The best feature of their banh mi was their baguette. It was definitely above average for me and the best I've had in Ohio. The price for banh mi was expensive compared to my California standards. We ordered Che Ba Mau too. The coconut was spot on but the beans could use a little more cooking (they were a little hard). I give them a 4-star rating because of their service. Great customer service, which is rare for any Asian establishment. Totally appreciate that our waitress was patient with my family's indecisiveness. Cali viet restaurants should learn a thing or two about customer service from them. read more
