Stopped by to pick up my online order at 6:30pm last night and the lobby was full of people waiting for their orders well past the pickup time. Social distancing was impossible and people were arriving faster than orders were coming out. After almost 30 minutes of waiting I tried to just cancel my order (simple spaghetti and meatballs with and a salad) so it was made quickly. Others around me waited 45 minutes past their scheduled pickup time to get their carry out orders. When I arrived home we were missing toppings from the salad, not provided enough dressing and the meatballs were way overcooked. Huge disappointment overall and we probably won't be returning, which is a shame because Buca di Beppo is one of my go-to place's for big groups and a fun night out. read more

Went to Bucca di Beppo last night with family to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious! My sister and I split the baked ziti which is made with mozzarella provolone and rosa sauce and topped with ricotta Italian style bread crumbs along with a mixed salad and bread. There were 10 of us and our server Crystal was incredible! She was right on it for the refills and we didn't have to wait a real long time on the food. I hadn't been there in probably 3 years but I will definitely be coming back. Bring a big appetite when you go there because there is a lot of food you'll probably have leftovers! Entry at 9:30pm; greeter was dis-shuffled, and asked wife and I to wait while he checked for an open table. 5 minuters later, he returned to front desk and walked us to a table. Wow!; 7 people in the entire restaurant. This is rocket science. Service was slow from the start for just 2 traveling and walking across parking lot from the Holiday Inn Suites. We ordered soft drinks and water to quench our thirst after driving for 13 hours. Waiter took our order and returned with a bowl of tomato basil soup and some bread with olive oil. 2 spoons of soup which was at best warm. I told the waiter to take it back. Small dinner salad never arrived for my wife. Meanwhile, waiters celebrated a couple of birthdays and then a wait for our order. After about 10 minutes; our Lasagna was brought out which could have fed 4-5 people. Cut 2 pieces for wife and I and took a bite. Again, the food was, at best, luke warm. Food should be kept hot by health standards around 160 degrees for soups. The lasagna cheese was not even melted. Temperature probably less than 120 degrees. Lasagna must have been refrigerated and warmed under a hot lamp. 2nd time in my adult life I entered this restaurant chain. This was a FAIL on all fronts. I have had restaurant management experience with basic certifications. Health department would grade this as a "C" in my opinion. I was trained by a VP and owner of some franchises that when visiting a restaurant, walk to the public bathrooms and inspect the conditions of cleanliness. That inspection will tell you how the kitchen likely appears. If the bathrooms are unsanitary; then leave the establishment and find another. I would be cautious in eating at this establishment. The pricing for salads for example was $25; lasagna $32...Yes, these are feeding portions for 3-4 people but for the prices on the menu; you should be getting premier service and environment. read more

Nothing special about the food! The server was very rude! Nice host very welcoming but after being seated everything else sucked! Went for lunch nobody was cleaning the tables so the tables next to us and around us where all covered in dirty dishes. Stick with M'tucci's they are the best! read more

I literally crave the bruschetta on the regular, The receptionist was not the most inviting but I was quickly helped by a server I'm guessing with my pick up order. It reminds me of smoky old little Italy back in '73. It was hot days, no AC, hoods, and Tony constantly rattling me about boosted cars. I was 14 years old going on 30. But my Uncle in Brooklyn had the greatest ziti this side of the Atlantic. Buca isn't that of course, but in Albuquerque this is about as close as I am going to get to 1974 in Hell's Kitchen. So, a few days later, we ordered a family size of Chicken Limone with fettuccini Alfredo for dinner (delivered). The chicken tasted very plain and the fettuccini had almost no Alfredo. The food at Buca was excellent. The stuffed pasta shells were very generous portions (enough to take leftovers) and the sauce was rich and creamy. The suggested wine to be paired with it also made the dinner that much better. The stuffed mushrooms as the appetizer were also excellent. The table bread could have been a little fluffier and warmer and could have come with fresh butter instead of packaged butter but I don't have too much heartache about this as it was the least of my concern. What really stood out to me was the service. We had Esteban as our waiter and he was excellent. He was clearly managing several different roles within the restaurant, and he still managed to tend to our table very well, check in consistently, and ensure our food was ordered and out on time. I would absolutely dine here again with him as our waiter. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was light, casual, and fun to look at. I don't care too much for restaurant ambiance in general, but just a tad bit more lighting would have made the overall environment perfect. read more

Our family used to love this place. It was our go to when family comes in town. Unfortunately, the last couple of times we went, the food was cold (some underprepared that we had to send back). My husband wanted to go to Buca di Beppo for his birthday dinner with the family. We made a reservation and arrived on time. We were seated and our waiter came over and took our order for drinks. We have been here before so we know that it is a family-style restaurant which means the portions are a healthy size and we could share. There were 5 of us and we ordered what we thought would be enough for all of us. After we placed our order our waiter asked us if it was okay for him to bring the food out when it was ready. We didn't think this was odd until he brought one appetizer out and then several minutes later another and then another. The same thing happened with our entrees (which was a regular size portion, not their usual), we all didn't eat together we had to share each entree whenever it came out. Top notch place when it comes to eating Italian food. The whole entire experience is wonderful. When you are about to be seated, they walk you through the kitchen!!! I like Buca di Beppo (mostly also because the name is fun to say- try saying it 10x quickly). Although, it seems my parents never want to come here. It's such a fun Italian family atmosphere- checkered tablecloths, bistro style tables. Everything is served family style, so it can get a little expensive (also you have to really like your family to all order the same thing, my mom calls it "mama di cheapo" lol). We did the lasagna and the chicken parmesan. They usually have coupons and are really supportive of local education programs by purchasing ads through the viewbook. This place is great! When they tell you the portions are big... they aren't saying that like most other restaurants. They say the small will feed three people, and that is true. There are two of us (both 200lb + guys that can eat), and we are having a small salad and a small spaghetti between the two of us. It's not just that they are big... but it is delicious! The food is pretty good but don't eat here unless you want your vehicle stolen. All of the lights in the back parking lot are burnt out- making the lot a prime location for auto theft. We asked employees for a manager to speak about the incident and ask for security camera footage; one employee responded by going out to check on their "one month old new car" in the front lot, that just so happened to be parked in the front for camera footage. Why? Because "employees have had their cars previously broken into and they all know to park in the front area." Management responded to the situation by stating the lighting in the parking lot isn't their responsibility. We came in excited to celebrate our sons birthday. The food was good, the service was slow but decent. We were grateful to have a coupon for a free slice of the chocolate layer cake. We ordered our dessert and we got a sad piece of chocolate cake that did not look like the picture at all. I mentioned it to our server Ryan and she herself expressed she was surprised that it was not the normal cake they serve but unfortunately that's what they give for the coupon. It was complete false advertisement and she had the attitude well you are getting a piece of cake for free so just be grateful. The principle of the matter is the coupon for a dessert was minor compared to the 187.00 tab. When we received the ticket we noticed the 15.00 cake was rung up and then removed, so after all we should have been served the cake that was on the menu. This took the false advertisement even further. When brining this up to our waitress, she became argumentative and rude. We asked to talk to the manager. Zoe the manager said she agreed it was false advertisement but there is nothing she could or would do about it. She then proceeded to say the cake on the picture was a 25.00 cake. However upon reviewing the menu there was no 25.00 so she basically lied to my husband to shut him up. There is no integrity in this business and it's clearly branched down to the employees.
