I did not dine inside the restaurant, as this was a takeout/delivery order, but I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from Buca di Beppo. I was in Albuquerque for a conference and staying at the Marriott hotel directly across the parking lot from the restaurant , less than a five-minute walk away. I placed my order on April 25 around 10:00 AM for pickup, but later changed it to delivery for 12:00 PM through the restaurant's website, thinking it would be a simple adjustment given how close we were. When our lunch break started at noon, the food never arrived. After waiting about 35-40 minutes past the scheduled delivery time, I checked my email and saw that DoorDash was handling the delivery. I called the restaurant and was told the food had already been ready for quite some time. What frustrated me most was the lack of urgency or accommodation from the manager on duty, especially after I explained that I was staying directly across the parking lot at the hotel. He asked whether I had ordered through DoorDash, and I explained multiple times that I ordered directly through the restaurant's website, not through DoorDash itself. Despite that, he repeatedly told me I would need to contact DoorDash for any refund. Meanwhile, instead of simply sending the already-prepared order out with the driver, the manager continued going back and forth on the phone with me trying to decide what should happen, while the food sat there getting cold. By this point, the food had reportedly been ready for at least 45 minutes. I eventually told him to just send the food, but I requested at least a partial refund because there is no reason food should take nearly an hour to travel across a parking lot. To make matters worse, when the DoorDash driver finally arrived at the hotel, she drove off again and did not return for another 10-15 minutes because she decided to pick up another nearby order first. I spent over $120 on this order, and the overall experience was incredibly disappointing. As someone who works in retail, I understand that mistakes happen, but good customer service means trying to make things right or accommodate the customer when problems arise. Unfortunately, that did not happen here at all. On top of everything else, the food was cold by the time we finally received it. The ball was dropped on both ends and I wish I would've went above him to receive a refund because if it were up to me I'd advise anyone eating there to be cautious if they're ordering out. read more

I ordered curbside and was pleasantly surprised on the service. I initially scheduled it for 7:30pm, but called to have it picked up at 7pm. The agent said they can fire it now, so when I called to pick it up, it was ready. I checked the food ASAP and it looked great. Everything was still pretty hot and I tried them all. I ordered the Buca Trio Platter to try. The calamari was cooked to perfection, light golden brown and still crispy and flavorful. The fried mozzarella was also fried well bc it had the cheese pull. They spicy shrimp was flavorful and a little soggy due to the sauce. I think I'll ask for the sauce on the side next time. If you go on their website, you can't order the Spicy Shrimp via Curbide probably for that reason of it getting soggy, or the quality not being met. But somehow, there's an exception for the trio. My kids loved everything but the spicy. So lesson learned, get the sauce on the side. But overall great experience. I do feel like when I compare past pictures of the full serving sizes, they seem almost identical to the Trio Platter? You get 3-4 serving sizes with each in the platter, judging by the ad pictures, and the price for the platter was about $38. I'd say it's a pretty good deal, especially if you use a coupon. I almost want to order the individuals to compare. read more

I ordered Chicken Lemon (essentially chicken picata). It was 3 rather small pieces of chicken, no pasta for $33.99. On the menu it stated "feeds 3-4 people", so I guess 2 only get a half of a breast? The worst was that there was no pasta with it & the sauce was sparse! Ridiculously expensive. Taste was fine. Bill was $86.71 for that, garlic bread & 2 pieces of cake. Not sure how this place is surviving to be honest. I'll go over the good first- the server and the appetizer (salad and fresh bread). The ok- was the trio sampler of fried mozzarella, calamari, and spicy shrimp. The shrimp was pretty good, the calamari had no flavor unless you dip into the sauce heavily, and the fried mozzarella was the worst version I've ever experienced. The main meal our table ordered was the chicken parmesan. The outer parts were burnt and the actual chicken was chewy/dry (mine was chewy, other persons was dry). We took the last piece home but it'll most likely sit in the fridge until we cave and toss it out. We have no reason to return at this point. read more

We reserved a party for my son's celebration of life. I spoke to the banquet manager to arrange the menu and time. It was easy and all done within an hour or two (menu, contract, etc) We had to arrange the number up, were able to do that easy peasy! When we got there, the tables were ready, apps out, and everything started. Staff was great, arranged spaghetti for the kids, kept the food coming, and plates cleaned. Everyone was on top of it! Then even answered questions about some of the pictures! It was a great two hours, the food was great, service and our room great! Yes it saved us $25 but honestly the food was not that good. We got the smaller plate (3-4 people $36) Lasagna. It was VERY dry and not much cheese at all. Asked for more sauce but sauce they brought was not the same and it didnt taste god. Also got the stuffed prosciutto chiken 3 smalll pieces $36). It was on the tough side and not much sauce either. Salad was probably only thing that wasn't dry. $22. Needless to say we won't be going back.. if food was good may consider but it wasn't.. when I spend $100 on a meal I expect a higher quality food! Wow! It's been a very long time since I've been here. Arrived early for a family event. On a Friday night about 6, people were continuously coming in! Many people had reservations. They were taken back immediately by the hostess. My party of 15 didn't have reservations so we asked to be seated while we waited. To my surprise, they quickly accommodated us! It is important to note that dishes are served "family style". This means that you can't order a single serving and dishes are made to share. The food was great and so tasty! However, after contacting Bucca, Paul, the manager, provided exceptional service, assuring us they would do everything possible to ensure we received our order. The team went above and beyond for our office, preparing our food promptly and ensuring it was delicious. Maya, one of their employees, personally delivered our order when DoorDash failed to show up. It's been a minute since I last came here. I went ahead and ordered online for take out over an hr before I scheduled to pick it up. When I arrived the staff scrambled to find my order to discover they hadn't even made it after the employee went to the back to check. When he came back I was informed it would be about a 45 minute wait which turned out to be well over an hr. I understand they are short staffed these days just like everyone else, but they really need to be more proactive on hiring some help. Not once did I see any sign of effort to hire people like a help wanted or apply here sign. The icing on the cake was when I finally received my order, it was the poorest quality food I've ever seen. The Pizza had a paper thin layer of cheese, and several bald spots. One of my biggest pet peeves is asking for extra cheese and getting this presentation. The Mozzarella triangles were soggy like they'd been sitting out the entire time the pizza was being prepared. We ordered lasagna and bread. I could have made better! The lasagna was cold, mushy, cold, and tasted old. The garlic bread was not better.
