Monday evening we went in and were immediately in love, the restaurant is beautifully decorated to say the least it gives a homey feeling that most places don't, I felt genuinely so comfortable and at peace. Service was very well, we were checked on multiple times by Michelle I believe, she was helpful and attentive. Food was ok, we started off with the trio appetizer where the breading was falling off the shrimp but the mozzarella and calamari were pretty good, we got the penne alla vodka and were sorely disappointed, it tasted pretty unpleasant and unseasoned and we barely finished it. read more

The food was good. It comes I. Family sized servings, meant to be shared with a group of people. The staff were fast and accommodating and the service was great with food that left you wanting more. read more

Honestly just didn't like it their chicken parm was average at best and it was their best dish shrimp and calamari was better but that isn't saying much. read more

I went for my birthday. The sign with today's date said, "please wait to be seated." So we waited and waited. Eventually someone came and asked if they could help us. I said "2 for lunch please." She said that they weren't taking walk-ins for another hour and 15 minutes because of a large party and they only had one server. No apology. I looked around for a sign, there wasn't one that I saw. I said that was a birthday surprise that I wasn't expecting. No apology. I won't ever come back... no apology. read more

Absolutely pathetic service. Sat at the bar and there was no bar tender. They sent a server that could not even serve the alcohol. He then asked for our order of drinks and then went to get the manager to do the pooring. That took 10 mins for him to get back. After he poored our drinks we did not see anybody for 30 MINS. we then waited another 15-20 mins just to cash out. He said he could not break my 100$ bill and that he would go ask his manager to. After another 15 mins they both come back and finally give us our tab. We told them how horrible the service was and only the server replied with "im sorry". The manager did not say 1 word. Most pathetic resto we have ever been to. read more

Well. After having a great experience for lunch last year sadly I need to update my 5 star review. We had a large dinner party for a birthday party. The servers were attentive enough but only one was really friendly. The bread was good but the oil was so boring. We tried to jazz it up with salt and pepper but nope. Where were the herbs and spices that usually go in it? We got the pasta Alfredo and it was so bland. No flavor whatsoever. We also got the spaghetti and meatballs and they were flavorless as well. The Ceasar salad was good and i heard the wings were too. So sadly I will not be back. What a waste of money. There are too many other wonderful establishments who serve great food in town. read more

Horrible service. When ordering ahead we arrived at the time they said food should be ready. We ended waiting an hour longer to get our food. When simply inquiring about when it may be ready a worker rudely asked us if we wanted to go back to the kitchen to cook it ourselves. Continued to be rude and take forever. The second time eating there the pizza was definitely not worth the price. read more

I went here for NYE with my friend. She made reservations at 7. When we arrived at 7, they were barely seating people who had reservations at 6. There were about 30 of us waiting in that front wait area and it was incredibly hot. When we finally get seated, there's only four servers for the entire restaurant so the service is incredibly slow. Not to mention they are out of pizza and eggplant Parmesan. An Italian restaurant out of pizza dough?!! The food was not that good either. It was made poorly and tasted like a microwave dinner, unfortunately. Will not be returning. read more

Service was great. From the moment we walked in we felt like family. Walking through the kitchen was such an experience. Our server made our whole night hoke and laughing with us. Service was decent. Had sparkling mimosa. It was good but presentation is lacking. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Got the stuffed shells , chicken lemone with broccoli and Alfredo fettuccine. The broccoli, Alfredo and stuffed shells all had a strong fishy taste. The portion size of the chicken lemone for the price was completely ludicrous , not even half a chicken breast. The dining area was very large and very empty with no other patrons. The decor was of a classic Italian restaurant, but very dusty. Light fixtures over the table and light fixtures lighting the wall decor were all very dusty. When we brought our concerns to the manager we were met with kindness. They removed our food from the bill and only charged us for our drinks. Overall all the staff was kind. The food over all was atrocious. The drinks decent. Do not go into this restaurant with high expectations. read more

We were in town visiting family and decided to bring my father in law here for dinner, but we're turned away when we arrived because we didn't have a reservation and they said they weren't taking any walk ins. So we made a reservation for the next night. We still had to wait a little while after we arrived before we were seated. It was pretty busy though. Our waitress did a great job and service was fairly quick to get our food. Unfortunately the spaghetti and meatballs seemed pretty bland. Portions are huge, as they are known for being family style. For as busy as it was, it wasn't too loud and our 4 month old slept the entire time! read more

On this particular night I was all by myself, so I decided on some take out from Buca di Beppo. Yes, I prefer going local, but I don't mind supporting the chains from time to time. I had a hankering for some Eggplant parmigiana, so I ordered it online and left work to pick it up. The online system gave the estimated time for pick up which I made it about 5 minutes before that estimate. I pulled into the curbside parking space and gave the respective number a call then gave them my curbside spot #. My food was delivered immediately to my vehicle. Voila! It takes about 40 minutes for me to get home from Buca, so my Eggplant was a little soggy by the time I got home (to be expected). It was still tasty and hit the spot for wanting a little Italian food. Con - a little pricey Covid - Gloves and mask were worn by delivery man. Final Vote: I will return read more

Just an FYI for those considering the Valentine special. I took my parents here last year for the Valentine's special. We ordered the heart shape lasagna and some fettuccine alfredo. The food quality was terrible. If you look at my pic of the heart shaped lasagna, you can tell they pre-cooked it ahead of time. Who knows how long it was it sitting in the back? It didn't taste good. For about $50, I suggest treating your loved ones for something better. This is not even critiquing the fettuccine... The fettuccine was so horrible. The noodles was completely under cooked. For a restaurant located in Uptown, you would think their chef would be better than that but no. I understand that Valentine's day is busy so it is smarter to prepare ahead of time. I also understand Uptown has higher property tax which explains higher prices, but I do not understand this poor quality of food. Nothing can't justify this poor experience. It seemed to me they just hired some high school kid who can't even cook. I don't want to leave a negative review, but I will tell it how it is. "Busy does not justify a lack in food quality." Keep this in mind if your considering bringing your loved ones here on Valentine's day. Your loved ones deserve so much better. It it important to note that I booked a reservation here last year and we had to wait like 30 min still. I would never wait over 30 min here if I knew the food quality sucked that bad. I might as well put lasagna from Costco on the stove and cut it into a heart-shape myself and that would taste way better than spending $50 for old lasagna. Pros Got a heart-shaped lasagna pic Cons Pricey Busy restaurant sacrifices "quality" Chef lacks basic cooking skills read more

I just finished my birthday celebration here with a party of 14 and it was a wonderful experience!! I booked a reservation online earlier today which was super convenient. I love the atmosphere here as it is family friendly and welcoming. The host, Jose was helpful because we did request the Pope room last minute. He accommodated us without any hesitation. Thank you! Our server, John, was awesome! Since we had a big party, it was loud and chaotic but he handled it like a champ. He had patience with us and made sure we were happy from beginning to end. The food was the bomb dot com! We ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, chicken carbonara, spicy shrimp, Brussel sprouts, and the apple and walnut salad. Every menu item came out hot and fresh! We got our food out whithin 30 minutes from arriving. It was delicious and overall we had a wonderful time! The portions are family style so you only really need a few items and I guarantee you'll have leftovers! read more

I placed an online order at 4:14 PM for carryout, to pick up at 6 PM. I arrived at 5:55 and was told by the greeter that the salad was ready but the lasagna would be another 5 minutes. At about 6:03 the manager came out and told me that the lasagna was still in the oven and would be about 20 more minutes. She apologized and offered me a complimentary beverage, which I accepted. The restaurant did not appear to be busy, based on the number of cars in the parking lot. At 6:25, the greeter said that the lasagna was being sliced and would be out shortly. At 6:40, I told the greeter that I was not happy about the continued delay. At 6:45, the manager brought out my meal, with apologies. I thanked her but told her that I would never order carryout from them again. There were 2 other people waiting for carryout orders at the same time, one of whom was a home delivery service driver who had been waiting since 6:05 and had already missed his scheduled delivery time. When I got home, the small lasagna for 3 covered just about half of the takehome pan. Also, the butter pats for the bread had been placed directly on top of the lasagna pan, so they had melted by the time I got home, leaving melted butter on every surface. This was the first time I ordered from them in over a year, because of previous bad experiences with online ordering at this site. Never again. read more

Yes, yes, YES!!! Huge thank you to the Regional Manager for stepping in and fixing the issues at this location. We waited a while before trying to order food again to see if true changes could be implemented and they were! Today I came in to get our to go order and was thrilled to find Loni was manning the to go window and she was fantastic! She was very competent and helpful. The transaction was super smooth and pleasant. I was actually tempted to stay and eat in! There was also a new hostess who handled two giant groups like a pro - even despite a screaming baby! It was super impressive to watch! I also observed a different manager floating around the lounge area and lobby to offer assistance in case anyone needed it. It was like a completed different restaurant and we will be fully supporting it in the future! read more

I was gifted 4-$25 digital gift cards for Christmas. On 12/30/21 I tried using the gift cards on-line to place an order for New Years Eve, however, the website would not allow it. So I called the location on America's Pkwy and was told to call back at 11am on 12/31/21 to place my order and I would be able to use my gift card when I picked up by order. I called at 11:05am on 12/31/21 and was told that they were not accepting anymore to go orders for New Years Eve. I explained the situation to the lady on the phone and she even talked to her manager, but he said no. All I wanted to order was a SMALL rigatoni and a side of Italian sausage!!!! Stopped by for a special birthday dinner in July, I've never been here so this is my first! Inside is a huge restaurant that is heavily decorated with Italian inspired decor all OVER. Like in the bathroom, theres unique decor too! Very cool. The menu is meant to feed multiple people and you share, so it may be a lot of food for 2 people. I joined the rewards program prior to this and they offer really nice coupons! Recommend to save more $. Ordered Penne san Remo (5/5, seasoned well), Buca appetizer trio (3/5, calamari wasn't seasoned as well and was cold but the shrimp was very delicious!), and we received a free dessert of choice for giving a Google review and got the HUGE brownie sundae which was over the top decadent! Great for sharing. Our server was very helpful and generous with the delays in food service and worked out a good deal for us to make up for it. I would come back, just the staffing issues makes serving large parties much busier and slower. read more

Everyone deserves a second chance. Buca is no exception. ABQ East sorely lacks Italian food accessibility. Buca nicely filled this void. Buca is family friendly restaurant...so how did this solo patron make out. Quite good to be exact. From prompt friendly service from Jacque, to a nice large bowl of tasty ziti. The ziti was baked with al-dente rigatoni pasta, lots a nice sauce, crusty good mozzarella cheeses with small snow balls of seasoned ricotta cheese. This was an enjoyable take on a familiar classic. My surprise was that since Buca is owned by Planet Hollywood, I was the only "Celebrity" to speak of?..:) Thanks for reading. Avram Movie Star read more

Buca buca buca... I've had great times here. Dine in experience is normally pretty good. Take out on the other hand, ‼DO NOT GET TAKE OUT HERE‼please I am trying to save you some $ and disappointment. Ordered an Apple Gorgonzola salad, large spaghetti and meatballs for 5 and some cheese bread. The salad was $14, I pick it up and it's sized for one person... checked with the manager and host. $14 for one person salad (which was advertised to feed 3) even double checked their paper menu. We came here as a party of 7 adults and 1 infant, having made reservations and calling to confirm that we'd like a table, not a booth, and need a high chair, or a chair for the infant so we could bring along his bumbo seat. My family and I arrive on-time for our reservation and were seated fairly quickly...in a booth. We requested to move and they said no, they had reservations for tables, but that's what I asked for when we called, twice. We never got a high chair and we hardly fit with an infant. The server that addressed us needing a chair for the baby or a high chair said we couldn't have one because it was a fire hazard. Excuse me, what?! Literally ever other restaurant has them and has no issues. So we had to SQUEEZE into the booth with a baby in the bumbo seat and eventually I ended up eating and holding him the entire time because we were uncomfortable. We asked for waters for everyone, our waitress was fairly slow on refills and it would've been better to bring us extra glasses since we couldn't get a pitcher. We ordered the following: CHOPPED ANTIPASTI, CHICKEN LIMONE, SPAGHETTI WITH MEATBALLS, and the PEPPERONI PIZZA, all the large sizes. All of the food was just meh. Chopped Antipasti- Way TOO salty and we didn't notice there was blue cheese included, it's a weird addition to antipasti salads. My sister is highly allergic, so she couldn't eat it. 2/5 stars Chicken Limone- This was good, well seasoned, the chicken was thin, easy to eat (especially since I was one handed due to holding an infant). But it needed something...more. 4/5 stars Spaghetti with Meatballs- the meatballs are WAY too large for practicality. We got 3 of them that we then had to cut up and divide among 7 of us. They were dry and flavorless. There was hardly any sauce on the pasta and this was a 0/5 stars. Pepperoni Pizza- This was the best dish we had of all of them and it's pizza. Not hard to get right. 5/5 Overall, a disappointment on our night out. At one point, our child was fussy and didn't want to be squashed any longer on my lap, so I stood up to rock him and give him space. I ended up standing for a long time and in an awkward emergency exit area to try to keep out of the way. If only we'd gotten that high chair or a table... We ended up spending about $150 +tip but we probably won't be back anytime soon. read more

I have no idea why the reviews for this place are no good. I made a reservation here for my daughters post HS graduation dinner on a Wednesday for 16 people. We ordered 3 different salads, mozzarella sticks, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed chicken (this was the BEST), spaghetti, chicken parm, stuffed noodles... and more. We were given a little tour on our way to our reserved table. The host and wait staff were amazing. The food was delivered to our table and removed when empty to make room for more. It's family style so we ordered a bunch of everything and it was exactly like a big italian family meal, uncle so and so yelling down the table to pass the bread and cousin so and so passing the meatballs. It felt like home. I loved it. The food was phenomenal. The only thing I was not thoroughly impressed with was the Caprese salad. Having eaten in Italy, it was nothing to compare. Otherwise, everything was PERFECT! This is a great place for groups. Not only is the food great, but the dining is an experience. From the eclectic decor (to include nuns in bumper cars and a pope head). I would highly recommend and I will be returning. read more

Their lasagna is very overpriced. Ordered a serving for "three people" and got one tiny piece for $20. Ordered through Door Dash, and something tells me that if we were actually eating in the restaurant we would have actually gotten enough for three people. This is the first restaurant review I've ever written. Good or bad, I hadn't had an experience worthy of a review. That all changed when my family and I went to Buca di Beppo in Albuquerque on Americas Parkway. We made reservations, and arrived on time. While others who came after us were seated before us (there were plenty of tables - even with COVID restrictions, the restaurant had many vacant, available tables) we eventually were seated at a booth where the bench seats were wet enough to do a good impression of a Slip-n- Slide. We hoped it was from from cleaning. Cleanliness is important these days, so we wiped the seat down with napkins we had with us. The amount of liquid, however, was more akin to a spilled pitcher than a thorough cleaning. Our waitress came for our drink orders, but did not know what Lambrusco was (it IS an Italian restaurant). When she finally returned with a red liquid, she seemed quite concerned she had given us the small pour. She had never asked the size we wanted, and so we said that was fine. The issue, however was not the size of the pour, but rather that we are still not sure the Lambrusco was, in fact, Lambrusco. It was flat, and had some kind of particulate suspended in it. We also ordered an Old Fashion. It took some time, but when it arrived the Old Fashion was mostly water, a crushed orange slice and cherry. No detectable bourbon. All that would not have prompted this review, however, but the food significantly added to the evening's adventures. We ordered a mozzarella caprese appetize, which came covered in salt like a dusting of snow. The tomato was only aspiring to be ripe. We ordered a pizza and penne a la vodka pasta as main courses. While the earlier service was slow, this set a new standard. After waiting for 45 minutes after we ordered the main courses, we finally asked where the food was. That was met with a flurry of activity, prompting a second waitress to place a large can of tomatoes on our table (to hold the as yet merely imaginary pizza). Our waitress disappeared for some time more to eventually return with the pasta and a flatbread posing as pizza (granted pizza and flatbread are close, but again, this purports to be an Italian restaurant). The "pizza" was cold, indicating to us it had been sitting for some time (again, the restaurant was NOT busy). The pasta too was cold, and only resembled penne a la vodka if one held it at arms length and squinted. It looked like it was lightly airbrushed with some indistinguishable sauce which, frankly, had nothing in common with vodka sauce other than it was on a pasta. All in all, this was our first visit to Buca. Excruciatingly slow service, an appetizer that had enough salt on it to de-ice a road, drinks that the best we can say is that they were liquid, and main courses that were cold, late, and a notch under a Chef Boyardee meal that had exceeded its shelf life , all add up to our submitting this review. Needless to say we will not be back. read more

What the Salmon Sorrento is supposed to look like vs what I received. My SO's dish, the Chicken Limon looked just as pathetic. He said the chicken was dry and over cooked. Last, I'm not sure if the cheesecake is baked in house or ordered from a supplier, but it was missing the crust and was crumbly. Cheesecake is not supposed to be crumbly. The only good part of the meal was the bread. They also didn't include butter or olive oil for the bread and they forgot to include plastic ware. We're staying in a hotel so we needed that. Thankfully the hotel front desk had some. read more
