We stumbled across this restaurant while we were looking for a parking lot in downtown Windsor. The menu has a lot of variety. We shared a garlic bread appetizer, which was fabulous and very garlicky. Served with cloves of roasted garlic and a great cheese blend. For the main meal I opted for the basic burger, which is anything but basic. Hubby went for the shaved philly. Great burger and sandwich, fantastic fries, and highly recommend the Bubi's sauce! I drove by this place many times before and finally decided to give it a try, I had the chili pizza, I guess it was okay but it was drenched with cheese and the whole thing kept falling apart so it made it difficult to eat, but it tasted alright I guess. On the other hand, my girlfriend had the blt with fries, we both really enjoyed the fries, I thought they were delicious, and she enjoyed her sandwich. We had an amazing experience at Bubi's Awesome Eats today. The half portion of poutine was plenty for our 3 meat eaters (it has gravy so not for vegetarians), and was fantastic. Everyone loved the "mourning after" burger, which can be ordered with a veggie patty and no bacon. I had the bbq pulled pork with extra sauce and sweet potato fries. The meat was extremely tender and extremely good, and the fries were perfectly done.They have a nice beer selection, and the serving size was huge. We were way too full for desser, but they are house made. Despite the poor reviews here for bad/sow service, we had a wonderful server snd the food came quickly (Sunday about 1pm- not crowded). This place has not only gone downhill, it's almost fallen off the continent. Last experience: - Water served tastes like it came out of Adventure Bay next door. About the size of your finger nail. Couldn't taste it. - Burger patty not seasoned. At first thought all the juices coming from the burger were from the meat. Turns out its all the oil from the onions. Bubis is now halal so cannot eat here anymore. They also have horrible fries and burgers. Nothing here worth coming back for. This is my all time favorite place to go when I am in Canada. I make sure that I always eat here at least once when I head over the border. Their stir fry, hot wings, and poutine is so delicious. Especially the hot wings. After having them once I was practically obsessed with their wings. I always have a problem with choosing one thing when I go to this restaurant. It's nice comfortable and the wait staff are always helpful and polite. I also like how they serve your drinks in Mason jars, that's pretty cool. What a gem this restaurant is. We met some friends in Windsor for lunch and they took us to this fabulous restaurant. We sat on the patio and had the best 2 hours enjoying the weather, the food, the service and the company. Apparently this place is famous in Windsor but it was new to us. We started with the best poutine ever. I ordered the Chicken Club and girlfriend had the cheese quesadilla. Delicious. Both our husbands ordered the Alamo Burger and raved about it. Although Bubi's Awesome eats is probably best known in the Windsor area for their 8lb burger this is not the reason to go to Bubi's. I make my boyfriend take me to Bubi's once a month (minimum) for their splendid Bubi's garlic sauce. If you like garlic this stuff will make your night. It is like a similar to the garlic sauce you get at middle eastern restaurants just not as thick. You can also get a garlic dressing for salads. Everything here is good. Let me start with the salads, which are amazing. The salads come in a good portion size and have lots of veggies. If you are more interested in meat try their burgers which are always juicy. If you are a vegetarian who wants a non salad option they have an outstanding TVP (totally vegan product --tofu) chili. They also have other vegetarian options. My personal favorite is the chicken wrap and a side salad or sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries are another thing I always look forward to about Bubi's. Along with these suggestions Bubi's does have more out of the box options. They have World Picks such as Cevapi and and Spinach and Vegetable Lasagna, they also have numerous Tex Mex options. If you are some one who likes to get food with a fun name Bubi also has some whimsically named dishes (that I have yet to try) like the Popeye Pita melt, Ahmed's Spicy Beef Injected Burrito, or SGT Pepper's Tangy crispy chicken. If you have a sweet tooth you have to try the "Real Hot Chocolate". It comes with little cookies, lots of whipped cream, and candies. Not everyone like a sweet dessert and if you are with some one who is as not as into sugary desserts an excellent option is the Bubi's frozen yogurt. You start with a base of either chocolate or vanilla and choose other topping. This yogurt is real frozen yogurt (not highly processed high fructose corn stuff) it has a great flavor and there are numerous toppings to choose from. Not matter what you are in the mood for Bubi's has something for everyone. The atmosphere is casual and the staff are always friendly. Bubi's has been a downtown Windsor staple for years. First discovered it back about 10 years ago. The food is delicious and consistent on every visit. Definitely try the russsian peanuts appetizer. This was a perfect oasis from the families and screaming kids on the riverwalk camped out to see the fireworks show. We were hoping to catch the sunset over the river, in addition to the fireworks, so we initially decided to get our order to go. During our wait, we decided to grab beers. The bartender was super friendly and had Mill St Belgian Wit on bottles - huzzah! We realized we had plenty of time before the sun set, so we decide to eat our food there. No complaints from the staff, as we moved to a table outside. They were incredibly accommodating. great place, i was immediately greeted by staff with genuine smile and conversation. the bartender upsold me to a 3 ounce drink lol and recommded some food options upon me asking. i decided to get the spicy beef waro which is made in house, the beef is marinated with their signature garlic sauce and it was delicious. my fave was the red pepper soup, incredible, full of rich fresh flavours. definitely will be visitng bubbis more often read more

Me and a friend decided to eat at this restaurant after hearing about it on You Gotta Eat Here. Starting off the only negative things would have been the wall was a little dirty and the waitress wasn't very happy at first but became very happy and friendly half way through the meal. I got the half rack soul ribs with the garlic parmesan fries, my other dinner got the steak sandwich with fries and we shared the pizza crust sticks. When I got my food I thought my order was wrong and I was served the full sized ribs but it was only the half rack. The portions are huge and one meal could feed 2-3 people and it was only $14. Even the appetizers could be a main course. Went home with a lot of food but looking forward to returning and trying something new off the menu. read more

I have NEVER been spoken to so rudely as I was this evening by the red haired female "manager". I tried to explain I ordered a takeout burger and is was barely warm when I opened it 10 minutes later. I explained to her why I couldn't come straight back to raise the issue and also showed her my call log of numerous calls to the restaurant where I was cut off. She said the phones often don't work and that's not her problem. She basically accused me of lying and said it wasn't their problem if it was cold outside and stated there is no way it could have been cold when it left the kitchen. She was completely obnoxious and insisted the burger was not cold despite the fact I would have no reason to lie and say it was. I really couldn't believe her disgusting attitude towards a customer and the complete lack of apology or acknowledgement that just maybe it wasn't as hot as it should have been. When I read reviews on Yellow Pages I quickly noticed rude staff/managers and cold food is a common complaint. I don't care how good the food is - if the service and the management are that rude, there is absolutely no reason to support the business. I was recommended by the Waterfront Hotel concierge to eat at Bubi's. He told me it was amazing and if I wanted to be blown away by their craft beer and delicious food, look no further! I should have looked further. The atmosphere felt similar to a sports bar you would find in Niagara Falls, where waitresses call you Hon or Dear and there is some creepy boyfriend of one the waitresses folding napkins at the bar and darting his eyes around in between changing the channel on the tv. The service was awful. Everyone looked overwhelmed with a panicked look in their eye. I ordered the Quesadilias and they reminded me of Mexican food someone in the 1980's might have made for a dinner party with a "South of the Border Theme". The beer was actually pretty good. I paid, walked back to my hotel room, and got on my phone to do some googling. First I searched "How long does food poisoning take to kick in". Then I searched "Is Bubi's trying to kill me?" A lot of garlic! Which we enjoyed a lot. The pizza crusts were amazing. One order was like 4 orders of little caesers breadsticks. The bubbi sauce also was phenominal. Unfortunately service wasnt great. After recieving food waitress didnt come to table for well over 15 minutes. They made my burger wrong so i didnt get to enjoy it while my girlfriend had her food. Dillon fries were nothing special. Sat outside and the chairs were cheap plastic lawn chairs. After bringing remade burger it took the waitress 10+ minutes to bring bill and then didn't bring the paper bag which we asked for. We came over to Windsor from Detroit for a day at the water park and a overnight trip. I searched on yelp for places while my husband followed up on fb for reviews (yeah we can be those super annoying researchers). The reviews on fb were not good at all however we decided to give it a try based on yelp reviews, and I'm so glad we did. The haters on fb are mad about their fries being changed, however we really enjoyed them. We got the pizza crust app, flavored with cheese and garlic with the famous garlic dipping sauce, all 4 of us enjoyed them. I had a chicken quesadilla it was flavorful and the salsa was delicious, my husbands burger had peanut butter on it, I don't know the name but he said it was really tasty and he even took leftovers which he rarely does. Our Kids had the mini pizza and spaghetti both were completely happy. Service was friendly and quick. Little things like giving us to go lids for our condiments are the things that go above and beyond and mean something. We got a cheesecake to go and just ate it in our hotel room, it was great. One must always be wary of places that claim they are "awesome" and the "world's best". The hype here is extremely unfounded, even downright pretentious. The dining room is full of self-important people who have no idea what good food is but think that they do. The burgers are nothing spectacular. Burgers are pretty good and a nice size. Fries are good and garlic sauce goes well with it. My girlfriend loved the brie with olive pesto. We had the fajitas also. I always enjoyed my meals at Bubi's but after my last visit I don't think I will ever be back. I had dinner at the bar and the were acting like kids in high school. Constantly on there phones texting and on Facebook they were very loud. When my dinner arrived I asked for a different bun for my burger and it literally took 10 minutes for it, by that time my burger was cold.
