As the name suggests, soup is the primary focus but make sure you order a couple side dishes to get the full Beautiful Soup experience. What does this mean? Each dish is prepared with the UTMOST care & attention to detail (from the ingredients, plating and menu design). WHAT I LOVE MOST is everything is made from scratch, seasonal & local ingredients are used (means the menu* changes each time), the price is just right ($12 will get you soup, 2 sides, and dessert & the portions are well balanced), everything is scrumptious, AND most importantly the TLC that goes into making each dish really shines thru - love it! FAVORITE DISHES: Cauliflower Fritters, Quinoa Salad, Kale & Brussels Sprout Salad, Harvest Frittata....oh and try any of their desserts - ALL are excellent! FAVORITE SOUPS: Lemon Rice, Pumpkin, Lemony Lentil and Mulligatawny. After peering in and seeing people in there I realized that it was still open for business! The menu is entirely on the wall and you order and pay at the cash. Lots of combo options including whole or half sandwiches plus soup and/salad combos. Unfortunately all combos came with a drink and I would have preferred just tap water and maybe a slightly lower price. I got whole chicken sandwich plus garden salad and a Diet Pepsi for about $20. Feels a bit pricey for Windsor. Sandwich wasn't bad but a bit too much bread for me. I could have been fine with smaller surface area but piled up a tad thicker. Chicken was moist and sauce and the cheese and roasted peppers went well with it. Salad was fine except the balsamic was overpowering. Flavour was too strong or maybe there was just too much dressing. I wasn't floored but it was ok. I'd go back to try a different flavour.

We were a little overwhelmed by the menu, however our "exceptional" server was so helpful in explaining the many different options and how best to eat them. Please don't be afraid to ask. Everything we ate was, thoughtfully present. I feel the food is meant to be shared and enjoyed with loved ones and friends. It's more of an experience than just setting down and eating. The best way I can explain it, it is, an experience. It's meant to be enjoyed with family, friends. We started with Green Tea that came in a beautiful tea pot and cup set. It was ecstatically pleasing. We ordered a lot and enjoyed sharing. What we selected from the menu with the help of the amazing staff. Wonton Soup Enough to feed three. A gently refreshing broth. It comes with seaweed. If you don't like an ocean taste, than say "please no seaweed". It can be somewhat fishy. I loved the seaweed because I'm not deterred by the taste of the sea. Personally, this soup is soul food. PERFECT Pork and Shrimp Dumplings I'm pretty sure they pan fried this. If I'm correct, they nailed it. It's perfection. Dip it in some sauce and fly me home. Sichuan Wonton with chilli oil Sauce Okie, this is what gold taste like. I shit you not, I drank the sauce. TF, it's perfection in a dish. Get this, get this and nothing else and your day will be made. I'm not sure why you're even contemplate it. Best thing in my opinion on the menu. Green Onion Pancake Meh Crystal Shrimp Dumpling! What the hell is this crack? This dish needs Michelin Stars. Maybe 3. All I can say is thank you! Thank you for making this dish. Just get it, pay for two orders and then come back tomorrow and get another two because it's that good. Thank you dumping time for bringing my family together for the enjoyment of food. Can't wait to come back :)

This place is absolutely my vibe. The staff are fantastic, friendly, and very skilled at their jobs. Beverages were refilled, we were checked in with, and felt taken care of. The real star of the show was the food. I came with two of my sons, and we all really enjoyed our ramen bowls. I had the pork belly tonkatsu, one of my sons had the catfish tonkatsu, and the other had the red curry. I absolutely recommend this restaurant, and will be returning very soon!

Hubby and I laughed at how many times we zipped past the restaurant without noticing it. My husband and I both ordered the Major Tom Khatsu, which has a coconut chicken broth base. The chicken katsu pieces were the perfect level of crispy without being heavily breaded. There was also a nice little kick to the dish, which made it so, so yummy. Our friends got the Shoyu ramen with pork belly, and the Corned Beef ramen. The Shoyu dish seemed to be more enjoyable. Though we stuck with water, cans of Faygo pop seemed to be the drink offerings - other than alcoholic beverages. Areas for improvement include the waiting. Johnny Noodle King is a small place, with a main dining area and then what seems to be a bar area attached. We initially waited by the door for our table along with another small group (we were a party of four). We were then asked to go to the bar area to wait so that it would clear the door, but found it interesting how we were asked to move but not the other group. Also, we were standing away from the doormat we were not obstructing anyone's movements. The wait was long, and we asked if we could order food to the bar area (as opposed to waiting for a table). We were told 'no', yet there was a table full of patrons who were eating. There was no notification system, so our friend had to keep going to the front to see if our table was ready. Don't get me wrong; 'hooray' to Johnny Noodle King for having such great business volume. However, they need a way to manage it so that people will not be put off. Once we were seated, we did have good service from our waitstaff, and the food was very good. My husband and I plan to return to explore more of the menu. Hopefully, we can pick a time of day when waiting won't be such a big issue.

We still talk about it and how sweet the owners were. Just look at the reviews. Definitely a highlight of our visit to Windsor. As I saw stated in one of the other reviews, I agree, there should be one in every city. I actually would tell the owners that often and they would giggle humbly. Sweet kids!
