Awesome burgers!!' Unique flavors combinations and they are huge. The fries are good and so are the milkshakes, my favorite was the chocolate espresso We had the daddy Mac, the popper and the my boy blue, the poutine fries and the pesto pasta fries. All were so yummy. We all needed boxes. Great place to try when in Windsor

Burger with cheddar, bacon, egg and bacon jam - SO GOOD!

This place was so awesome, we went twice in one day. The first time, we were on our way back from the beach. I called ahead with a to-go order because we needed to get our little one back to the hotel for a nap. I only managed to call about five minutes ahead, so it wasn't ready when we arrived. But while hubby and little boy stayed in the car, I waited at their bar. I paid and was offered iced water, which I gladly took since it was the middle of a hot summer. The food did take a solid 15 minutes (maybe more), but they claim everything is made fresh. And based on what I tasted, I believe them! We ordered a Wakin' Bacon and upgraded our side to poutine with extra cheese curds. Once little boy was down and we could relax, we dug in. Hubby was absolutely crazy for the poutine. And we both absolutely fell in love with that burger!!! It was topped with cheddar, bacon jam, bacon and an over easy egg. Not only was the burger cooked perfectly and had its own great flavor, all those toppings just made it out of this world! So we went back for dinner. This time we shared the Daddy MAC. We didn't love it quite as much as that bacon jam, but the poutine was still solid. And even more importantly, we tried their milkshakes...... and they were amazing! We tried three. Yes, three! Salted caramel, which was fine. It had the perfect milkshake consistency and so much flavor. But the Oreo was even better!! The little chunks of softened cookie just took everything to the next level. Lastly, we tried the mocha. Woah! Talk about punch-you-in-face flavor! And it had the perfect balance of coffee to chocolate to sweetness!! The service was friendly and attentive for both take out and dine in. They had high chairs for the little one and the waiting area had candy machines which provided quite a bit of entertainment. We can't wait to make another trip to Windsor and eat at this place! We will definitely get the bacon burger, maybe try some tots? And get the Oreo and the mocha shakes!!!

I've been to Mamo Burger Bar twice - once (New Years Eve) I had great service, the other time I most definitely did not. On New Years Eve we were served by a funny, friendly, efficient fellow who made distinctive recommendations (his favourite modifications to a burger) and had helpful answers to our questions. He kept us topped up with water, checked on how we were doing for drinks, and cleared our plates and brought the bills promptly. I'll comment on my service the first time at the bottom of the review, since it was more than a year ago. The burgers are pretty good. They can't be cooked to order, which is a shame, so it's more about the toppings than the burgers themselves, which is always sad when you're someone who really loves a good burger, but this is our plight in Ontario. Of the two burgers I've tried, my favourite was the jalapeno popper burger - the flavour combination of fried goat's cheese, roasted jalapenos, and jalapeno aioli was great, though not as spicy as I'd imagined - I asked for hot sauce. I also tried the blue cheese burger, but the barbecue sauce was a bit sweet for my taste. Husband had an absurdly loaded burger topped with macaroni and cheese and pulled pork, which he said was good, but a bit unruly - it fell apart so there wasn't much mac n' cheese left on it when he ate, and it was mostly a pulled pork topped burger with a small side of mac n' cheese. The garlic fries are tasty, but the level of garlic that you get on them seems to vary widely, and if you get a skimpy serving of garlic they're basically just fries. Between our two orders this time, husband got almost all the garlic. Limited tap list, but solid craft beer offerings (including local ones) and they supplement it with pretty decent tallboy selection. The poutine is vegetarian friendly. -- The first time I went, our server seemed vaguely weirded out by the whole concept of the restaurant, and kept assuring us that the toppings were better than they sounded (though we hadn't expressed any reservations), and that we didn't have to have "weird" (craft) beer, they had normal beer, too. (I sometimes wonder how she felt when we then ordered the weird stuff.) When our drinks ran out, that was it - we didn't see her again until we had been ready to pay for a while. If I'd had this sort of service twice, I'd give the restaurant two stars, but I'm willing to interpret this as the restaurant just getting started, since it hadn't been open for too long.

Good spot for creative burgers! This is our second time to visit Mamo and it was just as good as the first time. The strawberry shake was luscious and delicious. We left feeling very satisfied. This is a nice please to come for lunch or dinner.

    Daddy Mac and poutine.

We showed up a bit after two today. They were pretty busy even with three servers working. I think the bottleneck was in the kitchen. Finally, our food arrived. The mixed greens salad was pretty standard but the ranch dressing seemed homemade. It was creamier than most ranch dressings, not as pronounced a flavor. My wife and I thought it was fine but the kids balked. The youngest ordered a custom burger and really liked it. My wife and the oldest ordered the mushroom burgers and they went over very well. I got the Daddy Mac. The mac and cheese was very well done and the pulled pork was acceptable. We all seemed to overlook the fact these burgers had double patties. Extremely filling. I hadn't ordered poutine in over ten years so I gave it a shot. The fries were spot-on and the gravy was delicious but I don't think I'll ever understand cheese curds. We also got two orders of garlic fries. Holy smokes. Garlic to the tenth power. Very happy with the sides. Looking forward to my next visit.

Upon arrival, the street parking was all taken up, so I went behind the building, to park in the municipal parking lot, which wasn't really paved well, lots of pot holes and it was dark. Luckily, parking is free after 6pm, and I walked through the alley way to the front of the building to the entrance. Upon entering, their were many signs indicating that their debit/credit machine was out of order, and they could only take cash, but indicated where their ATM was, after taking out my money and being charged a $3 fee, I had realized there was a TD Bank, my financial institution, across the street. Everyone was arriving sporadically, so when I had arrived, my friend and some of her friends were there. The waitress came up and asked for my drink order, they only had one type of Cider, Somersby, which was fine. There was a group of us, and there was hardly anyone in this bar, we had ordered our meals, which took a while to come out, myself and another person ordered a Caesar salad, which were the second to last items to come out. The salad was okay, the croutons were soft and fried rather than hard and baked. The dressing itself came on the side instead of mixed in, it wasn't really that good. Other than the company, the food was mediocre, the washrooms we're really well kept, and the whole pub seems a bit run down, and more like a dive. Not sure if I will come back, but if I do, it's because I was invited, not because I wanted to go on my own; hopefully their debit/credit machine is working next time.

THIS REVIEW IS ONLY FOR THE COMEDY CLUB…read more We went to the comedy club over the weekend. We were visiting Detroit and decided that we need a breath of fresh air. We needed somewhere without guns, with police, with flowers and laughter. We ended up in Canada. This is a fantastic little comedy club. They are currently having a comedy festival. The comedians were all really good. It wasn't expensive. They kindly accepted our American dollars because our stupid American debit cards don't work with their ATM (you know, we don't have the chip that stops people from stealing all of our info) We didn't order any food (we had poutine before arriving- SIDE NOTE- PUT POUTINE ON YOUR MENU. Please.). We only ordered a couple of drinks. My husband wanted coffee because of the drive back to Detroit (the passport people scare us). They brewed him coffee and then gave us spoiled milk. Doh! I hate it when that happens. The bartender was very friendly and apologetic. My husband switched to a red bull and they gave that to us for free. Very friendly, especially knowing that we are out of towners and probably won't be back. This is a great little place and I highly recommend it for comedy. (Ouch- the blond bartender upstairs did have a bit of an attitude problem. I don't blame this on the entire establishment. When was asked her what type of beer something was she looked at us like we were insane and responded with "it is beer". Ummm...)

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance transported me to a beautiful Mediterranean garden, with its gorgeous tiled floors, lush greenery, and warm, inviting atmosphere. It felt like a refreshing escape right in the middle of Detroit's historic cobblestone streets. It was the perfect setting for a long-overdue reunion with my sorority sisters, and Supergeil was incredibly accommodating, hosting our group of 14 women in the middle of Grand Prix weekend without missing a beat. We kicked off the evening with a few appetizers to share, including the hummus, deviled eggs, and meatballs. Everything arrived quickly and was an instant hit around the table. The standout was definitely the hummus, served with fresh, homemade pita that was unbelievably soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The meatballs were also delicious, perfectly tender, juicy, and well seasoned. For my entrée, I ordered the popular lamb and beef döner, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The portion was generous and beautifully presented, overflowing with crisp vegetables, fresh lettuce, garlic sauce, hot sauce, and the most tender, savory lamb and beef. Around the table, others enjoyed the Turkish ravioli with spiced beef and pork, more döner, and a variety of salads. Everyone loved their meals, and we couldn't resist passing plates around to sample a little of everything. It's the kind of restaurant that's perfect for sharing and enjoying with a large group. And what would a girls' night be without cocktails? If you're a fan of Two James spirits like I am, you're in for a treat. The bartenders create incredibly inventive cocktails from a seasonally rotating menu. I stepped outside my comfort zone and ordered the Open Kettle, made with coffee infused Doctor Bird Rum, cola reduction, coconut cream, and Underberg. It was unlike anything I've ever had! It was rich, tropical, complex, and with just the right kick. It's an absolute must try. Another crowd favorite was the Purple Gang, featuring lavender vodka, lemon, and butterfly pea tea, which gave it the most stunning purple hue. To finish the night, we ordered all three desserts to share: the burnt sugar tres leches, strawberries and cream, and the hot brownie with cinnamon ice cream. My favorite was easily the tres leches. It was light, creamy, and perfectly balanced with the crunch of burnt caramel and the subtle sweetness of coconut, it was a creative twist on a classic dessert. The warm brownie with cinnamon ice cream was pure comfort and a chocolate lover's dream, while the strawberries and cream offered a lighter finish with sesame brittle and hibiscus, creating a unique combination that reminded me of an elevated granola paired with a glazed donut cream. From the beautiful atmosphere and attentive service to the creative cocktails and delicious food, Supergeil delivered an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're planning date night, catching up with friends, or celebrating with a large group, it's definitely a spot worth adding to your Detroit restaurant list.
