Gong Cha

If ONLY I can give NO stars for the awful treatment from the Asian lady serving the drinks…read more Dont come here. Go someplace else where you will be treated as a customer and not as a burden. This location does not live by Gong Cha's mission to "inspire the human spirit and create happiness with a perfect cup of tea". This place creates dissatisfaction with such awful customer service. My son and I ordered 4 drinks and asked for a plastic container to carry the drinks back. The Gong Cha locations we've been to either have a brown paper bag that can carry all 4, or a long plastic bag that fits 2. THIS location only had a bag that can hold only ONE. This Asian girl gave me 2 bags and when I asked for another one, I was told they can only give 2 bags per person. I pointed out that my son is another person so I politely asked for ONE more plastic bag to help carry the drinks. It is 39° and windy outside and it is easier to hold & transport the drinks in a bag as we tuck our hands in our jacket sleeves. We ordered 4 drinks and should be entitled to 4 bags but I only asked for 3 (and come on, we're not asking for a free drink! just 1 small bag!) The Asian girl eventually gave one but rolled her eyes at me and gave an attitude. My 10 year old son even noticed it! Perfect teaching example of what NOT to do with anyone Seriously. Why skimp on ONE SMALL PLASTIC BAG when it is for a paid drink?!

Small store for drink to go. Usual Gong Cha menu. Staff are good, line moves fast, order comes out…read moreeven faster. Got my Thai latte tea within a minute of ordering. The taste was excellent, bubbles were chewy and soft. They have a fivestar membership system as well to earn points for the purchase. Overall a really good GC store.

Tsaocaa - Englewood - Lychee Milk Tea - perfect balance of jasmine green tea and sweet lychee juice

HAPPY NATIONAL BOBA DAY (4/30)! It only feels right to update my review of my go-to spot in the…read morearea. NJ doesn't have many great boba places, which is why I'm EXTREMELY grateful to have Tsaocaa nearby. I'm a regular, and the drinks are consistently amazing. I'm pretty picky--I only like drinks with a strong tea flavor that really pulls through. My biggest pet peeve is when they're too milky, overly sweet, or taste artificial. Tsaocaa absolutely nails it! The tea to milk ratio is ON POINT! One sip in, and I could tell they use high quality, premium tea leaves and fresh fruit ingredients. This is one of the few places that truly gets both milk AND fruit teas right! Over the past two years, I've worked my way through a good portion of the menu. You really can't go wrong with choosing any drink! There are so many options--milk teas, fruit teas, slushes, fruit mojitos (non-alcoholic), yogurt slushes, you name it. It's the perfect mix of classic staples and more creative flavors. My top two favorites are: *Passion Fruit & Lime Tea - Get this if you want something refreshing, tangy, and tropical. I get it with no sugar since the fruit already brings a natural sweetness. And they actually use real passion fruit seeds! *Brown Sugar Black Milk Tea - The black tea is strong and slightly bitter, but the creamy milk balances it out. They don't go overboard with the brown sugar--just enough to give you little sips of sweetness. *King of Milk Oolong Tea - I don't usually go for oolong tea, but this one's starting to win me over. I absolutely LOVE the deep, roasted flavor. I order mine with less ice and either the lowest sugar level or no sugar at all. The baristas hit the mark on the sweetness levels and make it exactly how I want. When you order 30% sugar, you really get 30%. For the true tea lovers, I recommend 30% or none at all if you really want that bold tea taste. The tapioca pearls are addicting--soft, chewy, and not crazy sweet. Their pearls have a natural amber brown color since they're made from sweet potato, without any added syrups or dyes. Most boba elsewhere is made from cassava root and then dyed artificially. Yes, it's on the pricier side--but I am SO willing to pay for the higher quality! They have a rewards program, so if you collect enough points, you can score free drinks! There's a lovely barista who's almost always there--she makes my drinks just right and quickly every time. I do wish there were more seating though. It's a small store with just a table and a few stools at a counter. They do have wifi if you're thinking of getting some work done. This location also has a full menu of popular Vietnamese dishes like pho, lemongrass grilled pork, vermicelli bowls, and banh mi. I've tried the banh mi, and honestly, I'd skip it. Stick to the bubble tea here! Tsaocaa is a must try for all boba lovers! Get your sip on! They even have a 1000mL bucket size! *eyes emoji* I have to limit myself to one drink a month... or I'll end up with a 9-month old boba belly.

Matcha Thomas - Elderflower matcha latte

Yes Yes Yes Yes…read more This place is in fact not overhyped. As an avid matcha enthusiast, I have to say, I'm shocked yet so satisfied. I'm usually disappointed by more matcha or coffee shops than usual however State Thomas has proved me wrong. First off this place is so simple, chic and aesthetic. I love the long tables that allow for bigger groups and just a collaborative family like setting. On both sides of the windows, there's also seating available too which is appreciated. The cute notepad wall filled with positive affirmations and sayings are such a sweet touch especially during the holiday season. The fact that you are able to choose your sweetness is one of the most simplest yet thoughtful things shops that sell matcha can do. It''s really customer centric which I appreciate. I ordered the matcha thomas with oat milk and 100% sweetness. The drink had the perfect color, has notes of coconut and vanilla and although it was 100% sweetness it was still subtle. There has to be some type of coconut cream or milk given the flavor and texture and its sooo yummy and refreshing. If you are in the Beacon area and like matcha, please don't hesistate to try this place out!

You can tell that they make their bobas at the place; they have a delicious texture unlike other boba places I could get a cup full of them.
