We wanted a place to chill and not a cafe, we found Mon Tea in Middletown. Arrived on a Friday afternoon, it was quiet with two gals working on their laptops. The cashier greeted us and asked for our orders. Instead of usual, I decided to try rosy lychee with cheese foam. The place is white with colorful writing & pictures on the wall. The place has tables for 2, 4 or communal and games available to play. The price was fair abcs the drink was quickly made. The tea was fragrant. Not too sweet with lychee bits. So so good! I definitely love the vibe here. Parking is a bit annoying but the ate kind of out of their hands I guess. Although I do love some of their boba choices, I've been a bit disappointed in their ability to have classics such as milk tea. I've never gone to a boba spot and asked for milk tea and had the cashier say, "I'm not sure what that is. I don't believe it's on the menu." It was just super odd to me. I mean it is called the original milk tea for a reason.. she did kindly recommend something else. I think for me the aesthetic is 10/10 but I always care for the flavor profile more than the ambiance and this place is a 5/10 for me when it come to the actual drinks. A small but very cozy, clean and inviting space, so relaxing to have here for sure. So the service was great, first time here and it felt great to be valued like a local. Got mango strawberry oolong tea, incredible refreshing and it had such a just brewed taste to it. Plus despite being bit fancy, have say the prices were very fair and reasonable here, always a plus, since I been other tea places were $2 more for similar sizes. Finally another bubble tea place in Middletown! The place is nice and clean with a nice ambiance to chill with friends or do work by yourself. The tea quality is good! I can tell that the tea leaves they use are of good quality and he packing is on point . I tried their peach fruit tea and the house special milk tea and I gotta say it's good to have this gem open in Middletown. Service is a bit slow at times when they are packed because they are JUST THAT GOOD! Call in to order if you come at peak hours. My kids wanted bubble tea to celebrate the kickoff of soccer season, and since we were in Middletown area we checked out Mon Tea. It is a very cute, clean place. We ended up ordering with the cashier instead of the kiosk because we are novice boba drinkers and the cashier was very helpful and patient with all our questions. The teas were delicious and we all loved what we got. I would have liked a slightly larger cup for the price, but it was delicious. We parked in a free public lot just across the street. the tea selection is awesome. there isn't a tea i've tried that i don't like yet. they have non dairy options as well which is super convenient as im lactose intolerant. the employees are very helpful as well. they will accommodate to the best of their ability if you make a mistake when ordering. and the shop itself is very nice. the aesthetic is very cute and clean, there are games to play on the sides of the tables for when you go with friends, and there is wifi if you just want to sit in there and work (similar to a cafe) i definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy some good tea with good vibes and light music. read more
