    Black sugar with milk

One of the many in the new wave of bubble tea shops popping up around the GTA. Like Tiger Sugar, Yang Teashop, and other related shops, Bubble Lee offers brown sugar milk tea, with the brown sugar syrup design, stuck to the inside of the cup. Also like these shops, they have smaller than usual cup sizes--all seemingly from the same supplier. I came here when they had a "buy one, get one" promo, which is probably the only time this bubble tea is worth it. Once again, like the new wave of bubble shops, they charge slightly higher prices than your bigger Chatime or CoCo franchises. Their bubble tea is also fairly similar to the majority of what's out there. Their location here is also fairly small--many patrons simply get their tea to go, instead of sitting down for a chat. Perhaps the best thing to come out of all these "same, but claims to be different" bubble tea shops is the frequent promos to feed my insatiable bubble tea sugary needs.

You've never had bubble tea until you've tried this... Imo. Super sweet, but the tapioca is mouth watering and fresh!!! Honestly, one of the best bubble teas I've ever had, from the actual drink to the bubbles. They have a cute little shop and not much seating, but most people take it to go anyways. It has a cafe feeling to it.

Located in Markham & Toronto We stumbled upon this spot walking along Queen Street West, and their cute logo caught our attention. This bubble tea spot immerses it's drinks in the flavours and culture of Taiwan. We tried their fruit limenade series and ordered the Passionfruit Lemonade with aloe vera and their White Peach Lemonade with crystal boba & aloe vera. The Passionfruit Lemonade was super refreshing and light in taste. We loved the cute packaging for the small size, and thought this was the perfect amount. The lemonade was not too strong and the flavour had a good balance of sweetness. The aloe vera topping was different from our usual orders, but we thought it went well with the drink. The White Peach Lemonade came with two toppings. We enjoyed the aloe vera, however the crystal boba did not suit our taste. The flavour of the drink was also very light and a little more sour. We didn't find anything special with this drinks but we still enjoyed it. We would definitely come back to this spot to try more of their drinks, especially their milk teas. 6.5/10

First time having brown sugar bubble tea and I will definitely be back! I'm a huge bubble tea fan and loved their perfectly cooked, chewy, sweet bubbles. I ordered black tea with milk and 25% sugar, 50% ice - a perfect combo with the slightly sweet bubbles

The drink I bought was ok. But I don't think I'll order it again. BlogTO really ramped up this place. Their milkshake looked intriguing so I ordered it. However, it was pretty much milk and ice blended together. If you were hoping for a more creamy milkshake with ice cream you would be disappointed. The bubbles was more chewy for my liking and I did not like the brown sugar taste. Something about it was not right. I guess everyone has different taste. They have 2 other bubble tea competition near by. Therefore, for the price and the small small cups I might rather go somewhere else. However, right now it is cheaper if you mention yelp. So if you want to give it a try now it's time to do it while they still have the deal.

I've tried most of their drinks and there hasn't been one I haven't finished. My favorite is the Lee's Berry slush. Its made with real frozen berries and the ice is crushed well with no annoying big chunks in it. My second favorite here is the brown sugar bubbles + Jasmine tea + fresh milk. The drink has a good jasmine tea flavour to it and the bubbles have a nice chew to it. My third favorite here is the brown sugar bubbles milk shake. Not only does the drink look impressive; it has an interesting contrast of different textures and temperatures when you drink it. The whip cream is fluffy and room temperature, the milk shake part is creamy and cool, the tapioca is chewy and warm. I recommend upgrading to large as its much bigger than regular size and costs a bit more. They allow customization for sugar and ice on most of their drinks.

I know Bubble Lee is known for their brown sugar milk tea, but on a scorching hot day their lemon tea and peach tea caught our eye. They had a summer promo where it was only 2.99 for a large or 1.99 for a medium lemon tea. I love jasmine tea so I got a iced lemon jasmine tea and let me tell you it was super refreshing and worth the price compared to a $6 lemon king at cocos! Highly recommend you try it out before the hot summer promo ends late Sept!

I went here 3 weeks ago while doing outreach. We got 3 different drinks and they were all so tasty, yummy and delicious! 1. Their signature bubble tea with the stewed tapioca balls. Cold tea w/ milk then when you suck up some tapioca balls they are nice and warm. The contrast of cold/warm and sweet vs milk tea. 2. It was like an iced tea with lemon. So fresh and delicious. Sweet/tart contrast. 3. It was like a lime margarita sans alcohol. We took turns sharing then decided which one we liked and finished them off. We'll definitely be back! I love when a random fluke situation becomes the surprise highlight of the night. The staff were super friendly and helpful explaining all the different drinks and their recommendations were spot on!

Brown sugar bubble + Jasmine tea with fresh milk

Bubble Lee is a part of the brown sugar bubble tea craze and they are doing it well! As soon as you walk in, you'll notice everything is very modern and you can see the wok of tapioca bathing in brown sugar. I liked that they had a Jasmine tea option and I opted for the Brown sugar bubble + Jasmine tea with fresh milk. You can choose whether you want the creaminess or tea to be enhanced within the drink, but I decided to enhance the tea. I wanted to judge the tea quality along with the brown sugar aspect. Good quality tea and bubbles were perfectly caramelized in the brown sugar. I liked that you could taste the tea in the drink, because I find that with a lot of brown sugar bubble teas, the brown sugar flavour is way too strong. I would say their version is not as good as tiger sugar, however they have a slightly lower price point so I can see more people frequenting this place!

I'm a huge fan of their brown sugar tapioca. Soft, chewy, and so much brown sugar goodness. The tapioca is very sweet so definitely go with lower sugar level option for the milk tea to balance it out. I had the jasmine milk tea, the tea itself is light and refreshing and pretty similar to other places. There are a few tables and seats available. Good place to work during the weekday, it doesn't get super busy and there's free WiFi. It gets a bit more packed in the evenings. Their washrooms are shared with Aji Sai, a sushi place, next door. xD

Tried the no2 from their recommended list. The brown sugar pearls were sweet and chewy and were still warm. The tea however wasn't very strong and tasted average. The service was quick and the staff were nice.

Brown Sugar Bubble with Milkshake ($5.99)

Visited On: August 28, 2019 Meal: Drink Dining Style: Take-out Would I Return: Possibly Ordered: -Brown Sugar Bubble with Milkshake ($5.99) Thoughts: It's pretty expensive considering how small it is. However, I really enjoyed the tapioca. It tasted like it was soaked in molasses and it was sweet. The milkshake part was new to me. They blended cream and milk with ice so it was very icy on top, but once you mix everything it was fine. Service was good. They had a list of their most popular drinks and when we asked for recommendations they did a good job explaining the different kinds of teas. Tip: Make sure to take advantage of the 10% offer by showing Bubble Lee's Yelp page.

But it's the tapioca that really makes the drink shine with how fresh and bouncy they are. For a tea shop, this place also has really good food. Tried the scones and they were super buttery, very flavourful, and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like all great scones. We also got some Filipino meals - the lechon kawali and lumpia super crispy, the bangsilog had a good portion size for the price, and the halo-halo was refreshing. Place is mainly a takeout spot, but there are a couple of small tables to sit 4. Service is friendly. Tea offerings are extensive. Worth a drop-by.

Walking in, there's a great amount of cakes, cookies, and drinks. Cookies: The matcha white chocolate cookie was freshly made. Quite soft and delicious. Reasonably sized cookie. Yema cake: It was my first time having the Yema cake so I was looking forward to try it. I got the ube flavour and a soft chiffon cake texture. It wasn't too sweet and was perfect for a nice small dessert. The staff were friendly and the service was good. It's too bad there's limited seating as it would be great to dine-in. I definitely want to come back to try out their drinks!
