If you have been searching for the ultimate boba drink destination, bubble island is it! I highly recommend the fresh fruit smoothies with tapioca. More specifically, the strawberry mango flavor is Ah-may-zing! The flavor is so fresh and satisfying, unlike other places I've tried that just taste so artificial or just not "right". I also like the fact that they have quite a variety of flavors and options to create the perfect drink fit for what you're looking for.

Left: strawberry rose iced tea Right: Mangonada (my fav!!)

The drinks are always made yummy & the workers are very kind! My boyfriend and I try to stop in whenever we are in town :)

My son and I visited here. It's new (Not sure how new), but we love bubble tea, and always down to check a new place out. It's just as the strip mall stores on the outside. In the same shopping center as Fred Meyer. These inside is nice. Very minimal. A couple tables to sit and enjoy your drink or ice cream, it looked nice and surface clean everywhere. It was easy to order, they have a great selection of flavors and sizes. Even a rewards program. We ordered brown surged milk tea w tapioca bobas, and a almond shake with tapioca boba. It was all super yummy. The shake was an actual shake consistency. Not like blended up ice. The almond wasn't weak, or too strong. The staff was a tad hard to communicate with because of the English barrier but we managed, she was very polite. It did take a bit to get our drinks, and they weren't busy. Idk, if it was just the day, or a regular thing?? Cuz, ya know. It happens. So far, I love it. Totally recommend it if you're a BoBa Lover!!

Such a lovely little spot, love their place in Lakewood so i was super happy to see their place here in Lacey! Got a lychee fresh fruit bubble tea with rainbow jelly and a new flavor toffee mocha milkshake. Delicious! Nice and refreshing after a long work day! Orders to go and wear a mask when you enter and keep them on please!

I finally made it to Bubble Island when they were actually open. The hours aren't posted anywhere and I believe they kind of make their own hours. I believe they've been short handed for the longest time so they're been working with what they've got. Anyway, there are two different main choices for the teas (powdered and real fruit). I opted for a strawberry powdered with mixed jellies. The cashier was friendly then disappeared behind a separator wall to blend up the teas. The waiting area is sparsely furnished and had a few activities to keep the kids busy as well as a foosball table. All the furniture has brightly colored slip covers on them. The bright colors give the shop a festive island look but a festive island feel as many of the slipcovers are not in great shape or stained with substances. The bubble tea is not the greatest nor the worst I've had. I will try the real fruit kind next time and see if my review changes. This place only serves bubble tea so if you're hungry, get food elsewhere.

I love the strawberry guava and the black milk tea (with a hint of taro). The boba is pretty chewy and easily frozen, however they do a great job making sure it's not too sweet. Sometimes the ice cream is freezer burnt. The service there is friendly, although sometimes it's hard to communicate and I feel a little rushed. I feel welcome though! The place is a little intimidating because it's kind of run down. It looks like they were once popular and now Lacey's secret... also hours are pretty unpredictable. Other than that, the tea is good and the boba is obviously fresh and spongy. I will probably continue to go here because of convenience!

When I first saw Bubble Island I was hyped. I thought I had found a new spot to get my bubble tea fix since moving away from Seattle. I assumed it would be good since they specialized in making it. I was wrong and it fails in comparison to Yunnies, WOW, and Gossip. Now, the first time I went ordered the matcha green tea milkshake and it was decent, but the tapioca was overcooked. Instead of being chewy and sweet the tapioca was hard and bitter. I just thought it was a fluke so I came back a week later to try again. This time I ordered an orange mango milkshake and to my dismay I had the same results. Besides, having bad tapioca they have a very limited selection of flavors options and do their no milk tea. Overall, they make a good shake. It a decent place to lounge and play board games with friends or study. Just avoid adding tapioca to your drink.

I was intrigued by the single review (on Urbanspoon), and I am glad I tried this place! The best bubble tea I've ever had, period. Don't be fooled by the poor examples of bubble tea many restaurants out here serve, as I was. Try this place out! They have a loyalty punch card that you need to ask for if you go here regularly. One wasn't offered the first couple times we went here, which is a little irritating, but other than that I was a fan when I lived in Lacey.

Once you realize they share the space, it makes more sense. The service here is pretty straightforward, so don't expect an overly friendly "hi, how are you" kind of interaction. It looked like there were only about two employees working and making drinks, but they still got the job done. It might take a few minutes for someone to take your order if they're busy finishing other drinks, but they seemed focused on getting orders made rather than chatting, which I can respect. One thing to note: they don't take cash, only card. Not a big deal for me personally, but something to keep in mind before coming in. There's a decent selection of drinks. I usually love ordering matcha, but for some reason their ceremonial matcha drinks can't be customized with ice level or toppings-- not even to add boba. I didn't ask why and ended up ordering a honeydew slush with boba instead, while my husband got the taro Oreo slush with no toppings. It did take a bit of time between waiting to order and waiting for the drinks to be made, but the quality made up for it. The drinks tasted great and clearly weren't rushed. There are a few chairs where you can sit while waiting, which is nice, but the waiting area could use a little tidying up. There were quite a few supply boxes trailing into that space, almost like there isn't enough storage in the back. Overall though, we both enjoyed our drinks and finished them completely, which is always a good sign. I'd definitely come back again when I'm craving a refreshing boba drink.

I yelped some places and this place caught my eyes so we gave it a try. We ordered a jasmine green tea with cheese crema w/boba, tealand signature milk tea w/lychee jelly, Thai tea latte w/lychee jelly and the last drink was recommended by the staff was a taro Oreo blended. I asked the staff if they had Oreo smoothie only just because my youngest son does not like bubble tea beside Oreo smoothie. She told me that the taro Oreo is more like an Oreo drink the taro is very light. So I gave it a tried. All my kids love the drinks. At first my youngest was like the drink is purple I told him to just try it. And he loved it, so thank you to the staff. Will definitely come back if I ever visit again.

Okay, I gotta say..LaBoba is the best boba I've found in Lacey so far!…read moreI've been on the hunt for a yummy boba spot ever since moving to Washington a little over a month ago, and I can confidently say this is the best one I've tried in Lacey so far. Even better, it's only about a 15 minute drive from home for me, so I already know I'll be coming back regularly! The shop was starting to get busy when I first arrived with my kiddo, and by the time we settled down in the back with our orders brought to us, all the tables had filled up. Despite the busyness, the atmosphere still felt relaxed and welcoming, giving off vibes that encourages you to actually sit and enjoy your drink without feeling rushed, if you decide to stay. They even have board games available if you want to hang out a bit longer. The service here is spectacular!! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. You can tell because they take their time with you (no pressure when ordering) and are more than happy to answer questions. I ordered the crème brûlée milk tea, which already comes with boba and crème brûlée foam, but I was curious about the ube foam too. The staff member walked me through all my options and helped me land on a half crème brûlée, half ube foam combo, which ended up being so creamy and delicious. I appreciate them being so patient with me because I can be a little indecisive with what I want lol. My son ordered the Thai tea with boba and tried the ube foam for the first time. He felt like the foam was a bit overpowering for his drink (all you could see was ube foam after he mixed his drink instead of the standard orange Thai tea), but honestly, I loved how generous they were with it for our drinks. If you're an ube fan, you won't be disappointed! We also shared a crème brûlée croiffle, and wowwee, that was a treat that totally hit the spot for my sweet tooth. The sauce was rich, sweet, and creamy, making it the perfect dessert to go along with our drinks. Once again, the staff did not disappoint and I was pleased how attentive they remained throughout our visit. They even promptly cleared our trash and plates without us having to ask, which just reiterates how on top of their customer service they are. First visit was such a great experience! Delicious drinks, amazing service, and a cozy vibe. I am totally returning and I'd absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quality boba place in the area!

They make it very clear that they are open -- the lights are bright, and as soon as you walk in, the staff is already prepared to take your order at the front counter. They were also actively cleaning tables to make sure customers had a place to sit. The seating was nicer than what you usually see in typical boba shops. The regular chairs had padding with a suede-like material, which made them super comfortable. They also have a bench-style seating area where you can sit back and relax. Overall, the space felt very living room-esque. As for the boba, it was great -- soft, chewy, and cooked well. The milk tea was sweet just the way that I like it, and I did not even have to specify a sweetness level; I just got the standard. The ice level was also perfect -- not too much -- so I actually got a full drink instead of mostly ice. I rated this place five stars mainly because of the staff. They were extremely attentive. I brought in outside food (not sure if that is technically allowed...oops), but they went out of their way to bring me a ladle, utensils, and chopsticks so I could choose what I preferred. I did not feel uncomfortable to ask for anything, and their overall energy made it feel like I could genuinely hang out with them one-on-one. They were watchful, friendly, and easygoing. I also thought it was adorable that they have a big statue of their mascot in the middle of the shop -- it really gives personality to the place and lets you know exactly where you are.

There were two cashiers, the boy making drinks in the back, and one woman at the pickup counter who we assume was the manager since she looks older and was directing everyone else in a very bossy way. The cashier who helped us was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. She smiled the whole time, didn't rush us while ordering, and was so sweet to my son. The other cashier and the boy making drinks were also friendly, polite, and communicated well. The three of them were smiling, interacting happily, and had great teamwork. It honestly impressed us and gave the store such a warm, positive vibe. The drinks tasted great, the boba was soft, and the decorations were cute. We didn't have cash to tip and they didn't have tip on cards, but the cashier told us a Yelp review would help them, and they deserve it. The sad part: Our order was #88. After the "manager" handed out #87, we assumed the drinks were being given out in order, so we stepped up to the counter. She placed the taro smoothie down, so we picked it up, thinking it was ours. Instead of explaining kindly, she snapped at us, "We didn't call your order yet," and took the drink back from my son in a very aggressive way. It was our first time there and we genuinely didn't know they only go by calling the number. Her tone felt rude and unnecessarily harsh. When our order was ready, she yelled out the number even though we were standing right in front of her, then turned away without acknowledging us at all. Her attitude felt completely different from the rest of the team, and it made the moment uncomfortable. Still, I'm giving 5 stars because the other three workers were amazing and truly made our visit enjoyable. They deserve all the appreciation and recognition. Without that last moment, the experience would have been perfect.

This place had great reviews, so I was excited to try it. Overall, I'd say it reminds me of T4 -- it's just okay. When I walked in, there was no one inside and only one staff member working. It wasn't busy at first, but a line quickly started forming. With just one employee making drinks, it didn't seem ideal for handling multiple customers, so you may end up waiting a bit during busier moments. I ordered the matcha taro cloud with boba -- two flavors I really love together. The milk tea itself was actually pretty good. It wasn't watery and had a nice consistency. However, the employee forgot to add boba to both my drink and the customer after me. I had already walked out and taken a few sips before realizing it was missing, so I had to go back in to get it added. She was apologetic and I appreciate that she promptly fixed it. The boba itself ended up a little underwhelming. I might just be used to the soft, honey boba from Bober Tea, but this one tasted firmer than I prefer. I personally like my boba softer. I do wish the quality of the boba was better and that my order had been accurate from the start. Still, it seems like a nice, simple spot for basic boba -- and it's conveniently located right next to Safeway, so it's easy to grab a drink before or after doing your grocery shopping. Would I come back? Maybe, but I'd probably manage my expectations next time.

I had been shopping at Fred Meyer for some alcohol, and as I was leaving I noticed Fresh Pho is literally right next door. That alone convinced me to try it, especially since this location shares space with Tealand. You're telling me I can grab pho *and* boba in one stop? Sign me up! This is actually the first pho spot I've tried since moving to Washington, and I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint. Of course, it's nowhere near the same level as homemade pho, but for restaurant-quality pho it definitely satisfied the craving. I ordered a small pho dac biet for takeout, so I can't really comment on other menu items or the full service experience. That said, the restaurant looked clean inside and had some cute lantern decorations that added a nice Asian vibe. The employee who took my order was polite as well. One positive thing I noticed was that the servers appeared to be young, and they were speaking Vietnamese, which I low-key feel like should be a requirement when working at a Vietnamese restaurant anyway so at least I know I'm somewhat receiving the authentic Vietnamese restaurant experience. My pho was packaged neatly for takeout, so nothing spilled during the trip home. It came with two packets of hoisin sauce, two packets of Sriracha, and the usual side of bean sprouts, mint leaves, lime, and green onions that typically come with pho. The portion size was solid too. There was a generous amount of meat and broth--my bowl was actually filled to the brim. I managed to finish everything though, and my stomach was definitely satisfied. All in all, I'd say this was a great first pho experience in Washington. I'd definitely come back again when I'm craving a warm bowl of soup.
