I'm rating Boba and Beyond based on my overall experience and, of course, the taste of the boba. I recently moved to the area from California, so I'll admit my boba expectations might be a little high. This place had great reviews, so I was excited to try it. Overall, I'd say it reminds me of T4 -- it's just okay. When I walked in, there was no one inside and only one staff member working. It wasn't busy at first, but a line quickly started forming. With just one employee making drinks, it didn't seem ideal for handling multiple customers, so you may end up waiting a bit during busier moments. I ordered the matcha taro cloud with boba -- two flavors I really love together. The milk tea itself was actually pretty good. It wasn't watery and had a nice consistency. However, the employee forgot to add boba to both my drink and the customer after me. I had already walked out and taken a few sips before realizing it was missing, so I had to go back in to get it added. She was apologetic and I appreciate that she promptly fixed it. The boba itself ended up a little underwhelming. I might just be used to the soft, honey boba from Bober Tea, but this one tasted firmer than I prefer. I personally like my boba softer. I do wish the quality of the boba was better and that my order had been accurate from the start. Still, it seems like a nice, simple spot for basic boba -- and it's conveniently located right next to Safeway, so it's easy to grab a drink before or after doing your grocery shopping. Would I come back? Maybe, but I'd probably manage my expectations next time. read more

I came here for a bubble tea. It's bright and cheery and very reminiscent of the bubble tea shops that are trending now. The service is quick and speedy, they are kind and tell you their offerings. I got two bubble tea drinks. One milk and one strawberry. The strawberry is fine, the milk is fine too but the tea is different than what I'm used to. It's more of a deeper bitter black tea. Not horrible but surprise taste and not that sweet. Which is fine for me. They have the bubble waffles and the house specials look interesting. Especially the mango lassi and it appears they serve dumplings too if the pictures are any indication. I like this place, it's nice and bright and a good place to study/work and get a snack. I think with more business and expansion of the menu, it would skyrocket. I won't lie, when I saw the lassi on the menu, I had hoped for a rich chai too because we don't get that around here. I have to make it on my own now. Also, while it appears they can steam and waffle, a savory waffle and maybe savory steamed buns would be good. read more

The lady at the front was very kind and respectful in how she spoke. But the thing that stood out the absolute most was how delicious the milk tea was!!! And I have HAD milk teas. This isn't some first time "oh it's good" review. I've had thousands of milk teas in different places because I love boba and this was the best one I've had in coconut flavor. Location is also very centralized so it's convenient , right next to a lot of shops and stores but not crazy busy or crowded. Great place. read more

Smoothies were decent, ice cream was really tasty, I thought the momos were on the salty side. There is one worker that is nice and the other worker is, well, Seattle nice. My daughter and I love to come here after school/work! Boba and beyond is just a nice relaxing, clean, and cute little hole in the wall near Jersey Mikes! They're staff are always wonderful, always talking with my little one when we go there, and playing her favorite songs! Not to mention they're boba drinks are better than any other little joints around. Literally better than Happy Lemon (more authentic) and the boba at the mall (just better)! Lovely little gem with high quality drinks and snacks. We had the Thai iced tea and they make fresh brewed REAL tea with leaves (not powder) and the sweetness was absolutely perfect (you can ask for more/less sweet). The tapioca boba we had added were perfectly bouncy and fresh. We also got one of their Japanese style strawberry sandos and it was absolutely HEAVENLY! The lady was so nice I got a honeydew tea with lychee jelly, super good and a mango fruit tea with lychee jelly. It was the perfect sweetness. I'm definitely gonna go back and try her dumplings. Worst bubble tea I've ever had. To be brutally honest, the people that have rated this five stars has not had good bubble tea. We got the Thai milk tea which was meh, okay. We also got the brown sugar milk tea which was horrible. It tastes nothing like how it's supposed to. I drank maybe only a forth of it. We also asked for a bubble waffle (it's on their menu). They then told us they don't offer bubble waffles but they have regular waffles. So we got a regular waffle covered in chocolate. The waffle wasn't completely cooked and even if it was, there was nothing good about the whole thing. Would not recommend going here. There are much better bubble tea places in Lacey/Olympia. read more

They're very generous with their boba toppings unlike other boba shops, if you want something that isn't on menu they are more than happy to make you the drink and if you're not happy with the quality you'll get it remade no cost, I asked for a mango matcha boba shake and even though it wasn't on menu and the owner hasn't tried making it before she still used her talents to make the drink and it's the best Boba shake I've ever had. I've had boba from all over the world and this, no exaggeration is the greatest boba I've tried. The matcha milk tea with coconut milk and tapioca is the best one in my opinion but all are yummy! The pork momo are very good also. They are made fresh and to order so it's a bit of a wait while they cook but its not fast food, it's worth it! The owners are super sweet, kind, and give great recommendations if you're unsure what to get. I rave about this place to everyone and can't recommend it enough. read more

This place is super cute and great for photo ops, etc. Very clean. We were just stopping in while running errands so enjoy the atmosphere as much as we would have liked. The woman behind the counter was super patient with my son while he ordered for himself. We ordered 3 drinks and all agreed they were good, not great. One of my friends wanted to meet here for authentic Nepalese dumplings (momos) and bubble tea. I have never had momos before, but was excited to try. I am used to Japanese and Chinese style dumplings, but the momos are so different, but so flavorful & delicious. They steam them, so it takes a little while for them to cook, but so worth it. Customer service is fantastic, questions were answered and recommendations made when requested. The location is small, but cute & clean with a beautiful floral backdrop for photos. Everything was so great my first visit, I actually ended up bringing my husband and daughter back a few days later. I really enjoy the brown sugar milk tea, ordered with half the sweetness, plus I mix it well before I drink. It is really delicious. I am going to try the Thai iced tea my next visit, because I heard the owner telling a customer they make it from fresh tea leaves! My husband enjoyed ube milk tea, which I tasted and it was really good as well, just a little sweet for me (but he ordered it at full sweetness). Can't wait to visit again! read more
