Our treble in the front which I will probably not pick next time. In short and the tall table is the most comfortable with my sorry legs. The tank is a little small for the plates and presentation of food. The food is great! The combos are arranged beautifully on lovely platting. We loved it all! I especially loved the bread and bake goods, so fresh and yummy. We've gone back just for bakery goods and the bread!!!!! Check this out ....

More Than a Meal: A Place of Warmth, Belonging, and Heart at Kozak Langley…read more Some restaurants serve food. Others create an experience. And then there are places--rare, quietly extraordinary places--that make you feel held. Kozak Ukrainian Restaurant is unequivocally one of those places. From the moment you step through the door, something shifts. The atmosphere is gentle, calm, and welcoming in a way that immediately puts your shoulders down and your breath at ease. There is no rush, no judgment, no performative friendliness--just genuine warmth. As an LGBTQ2S+ person, that feeling matters more than I can adequately express. At Kozak Langley, inclusivity is not a slogan or a checkbox; it is lived. You are treated with dignity, kindness, and respect simply for being who you are. You don't have to brace yourself here. You can just be. The heart of this experience lies with the people. Lilly, our server, moved through the evening with a grace that felt almost poetic. Her attentiveness was intuitive rather than intrusive--she seemed to feel the rhythm of the table, knowing exactly when to check in and when to let a moment linger. Her recommendations felt personal, thoughtful, and deeply informed, offered with warmth and sincerity. She didn't just serve us; she guided the experience. Darbi, in customer service, brought a grounding presence that made everything feel thoughtfully held together. There was a quiet confidence in the way she ensured that every detail was accounted for, every guest seen. Her warmth was steady and reassuring, the kind that makes you feel safe without ever needing to announce itself. Keely added a softness that lived in the small moments--the gentle smile, the calm check-in, the ease that made the entire space feel lighter. Her care was subtle but deeply felt, a reminder that hospitality at its best is profoundly human. And then there is Alex, the manager, whose kindness sets the emotional tone for the entire restaurant. His leadership is calm, sincere, and deeply respectful. You can feel the culture he has built the moment you walk in: a team that feels supported, confident, and genuinely happy to be there. That care flows outward, shaping every interaction and creating an environment rooted in belonging rather than hierarchy. Truly, every single staff member we encountered was exceptional. I wish I could name them all, because each person contributes to something special--a space where hospitality feels like community, where inclusivity is practiced quietly and consistently, and where guests are treated as people, not transactions. Helpful Tips for Future Diners * Give yourself time. Kozak Langley is best enjoyed slowly. This is not a place to rush through a meal--it's a place to linger, talk, and savor both the food and the atmosphere. * Ask for recommendations. The staff know the menu deeply and genuinely want to help you find something you'll love. Their guidance is thoughtful and personal. * Share your needs. Whether dietary, accessibility-related, or simply a preference for a quieter spot, the team is incredibly accommodating when they know how to support you. * LGBTQ2S+ diners: you are safe here. This is a space of real affirmation and respect. You can relax and enjoy your time without hesitation. * Come with people you love--or come solo. It's perfect for meaningful conversations, celebrations, or a quiet meal where you don't want to feel invisible. * Return the kindness. The warmth here is real, and a smile or a kind word goes a long way with a team that gives so much of themselves. Kozak Langley is not just a restaurant--it is a refuge. A place where food nourishes the body, and kindness nourishes the spirit. We didn't just leave satisfied; we left lighter, calmer, and deeply grateful. This is the kind of place you return to not only for the food, but for the feeling--and that is something truly special.

This is probably the best takeout I have had in Walnut Grove, of any kind…read more And probably the best tacos / Mexican food I've had in the Vancouver area, outside my favorite spots in the center of the city. My goodness what delicious flavours! The proteins are definitely cooked with care and attention to the recipes. Each one is the quintessential style you know and love... Carnitas, Al Pastor, Barbacoa etc... But so amped with intensity and depth of flavour. And the right type of cook on them. The barbacoa (lamb) is delicious. Melt in your mouth tenderness, with a rich lamb flavour fortified by all the seasoning. The carnitas is definitely fried to get all those wonderful crispy bits. Mallard browning FTW. And the Al Pastor. The beat Al Pastor I've had anywhere, hands down. Pineapple forward sweetness, but perfectly balanced with the savory side of things, and then accented by the taste of the high-heat with a little charring. It almost had a tandoor-type flavour. Amazing. My family tried tacos, burritos, and sopes. All were great. But I think the burritos and sopes were the biggest hits. Very satisfying. There are so many other offerings that we will need to go back to try. From tortas and gorditas to enchiladas and sopas. And I am here for that challenge.

We were so hungry we scarfed them down. But the worst part of the experience was the service. Perhaps it was cause there was one person tending to many. He was Mexican. In his overwhelmed state, he missed some essentials. First, he gave us an entire platter of tacos w 4 small containers of salsa. I knew it'd be quickly gone so I asked for more. I also had to ask for lime. What? He didn't know we'd need lime and more salsa? It got to the point that I had to start grabbing the things myself cause it took him so long or he forgot. He looked annoyed when I did. So either prep us well for our meal or make self service easy, but scowling doesn't make sense.

It has definitely been a long time coming to have hot pot in Langley. It is a very easy location to…read moreget to and I highly recommend dining up online for the waitlist. The parking lot is very busy as a shared complex. I think the biggest turn off to not provide this with full stars is that it is so overwhelmingly busy and crowded as soon as you enter the door. The last time that my party was there, there was a host outside greeting and making sure you were on the waitlist before coming in which helped the flow of the so-called waiting area. It used to be quite chaotic because there would be people that were walking in without a reservation and others that were so it felt really clogged up and people wouldn't know why other groups were first even though they may have been "waiting" first. It also gets doubly busy there because it is where the pick up/takeout and food delivery orders are processed so there's just a lot of action in a small area. For the most part, I really enjoy the food selection and variety. There are good broth options and a nice drink menu. signing up for a membership is free and if you go there often enough those points can really add up, which is a nice perk. Staff are courteous as can be in a very busy environment, and I appreciate that there are a lot of moving parts between seating people, delivering food, delivering drinks, cleaning up, and providing complementary ice cream at the end.
