Love me some boba -- or should I say popping pearls? Such a refreshing beverage in this ungodly AZ heat.
I was grabbing lunch with some friends in the area recently and we decided to stop by and grab a drink afterwards. After looking over the menu, we ordered a Sweetheart, Pomegranate Paradise, and a Taro Queen. We each tried a sip of each other's drinks and safe to say my favorite was the Sweetheart. It was surprisingly not too sweet for my tastebuds, and it wasn't overly creamy to the point where I felt unwell afterwards, as I sometimes have this problem with some drinks. We went a little bit after two o'clock and there were no other customers, so we were able to take our time in deciding without feeling rushed. The service was patient, fast and friendly. The store isn't that big, so seating options are limited. For a boba shop in this area, I would say it's pretty solid. Their flavors are unconventional to most boba shops so it's a nice change. The only thing is, we didn't see an option to customize the sweetness level to our preferences.

I have been going here for five years now since I moved to Scottsdale and I always get the exact same thing the original fat cup with Boba.... I feel terrible writing a negative review but this continuously happens when I order my drink... The original is basically oolong tea mixed with creamer. The way bumblebee makes it is that they blend together the problem with that is depending on who makes it , it ends up turning into a cappuccino with tremendous amount of foam . unfortunately ordering a large drink doesn't really give you the amount of tea because a quarter of the drink is foam. see the picture
By far the absolute BEST boba and bubble tea! The drinks always customizable, so never forget your jelly, boba and fruit poppers. The blended drinks are thirst quenching and delicious, and the creamy and coffee drinks are great, too. While a little pricey, the "fat cup" is always worth the price and upgrade. The people working are always patient and helpful and the store is always clean. If I could get one drink every day, this would be it!
This is such a cute spot. They have a wide variety of drinks, a lot of combinations that I've never heard of and different toppings and things that I don't believe I've ever seen before. For example, I've never gone anywhere where they have yogurt poppers. Essentially they taste like Japanese yogurt, but in a popping Boba sort of consistency. They are slightly sweet and inside the chart. One of the drinks that I ordered was called the Papa guava. It is a combination of strawberry guava, organic green tea, strawberry jelly and yogurt poppers. My little one ended up getting what is called the cloud nine. It has organic honey Boba on top, but the flavor consist of coconut, peach, vanilla, bean, guava, and organic white tea. That sounds amazing if you ask me. My husband had a mocha Chino, which is French coffee with Kona, mocha creamer, organic, honey, Boba and coffee jelly. They have so many different drink choices. Some of them are blended. Some of them are blended and creamy. Some of them are creamy drinks over ice others are sparkling drinks and 0 cal drinks even. They do offer hot drinks, maybe about eight of them you can pick your tea the level of sweetness, the different kinds of sweetener or creamer. One of the other drinks that looked really interesting was the strawberry Horchata or the Thai tea float. I was interested initially in the Cali girl 2.0, but that appears to be a very involved drink, one that I don't think I'm quite ready for. It has ice cream on top and of other things. It looks extremely duck in. But anyway, three drinks was about $20. Not bad. I love the bumblebee motif and themed that they have throughout the store. They even have a cute wall where you can take a picture. The wall says sweet as honey. I definitely recommend this place.
One of my coworkers at the Cava across the street (come visit us) ordered me a drink called a Vanillaccino and it was amazing! I am not usually boba fan nor do I get boba x coffee, but I actually really enjoyed it. Went in for a second drink during a double shift and spoke to Audrey, who was kind and welcoming :). Ambiance was nice too, well lit and well decorated. This will probably be my go to "coffee" place from now on .
Cute little boba shop! They've got a great location in the Scottsdale Quarter. Their menu is extensive. They have so many options and you can customize practically anything on their menu. I went with the Papa Guava and it was really refreshing. I wasn't a huge fan of the popping boba, wish I would've swapped that out. They constantly had people coming in and leaving but the staff were all quick and friendly. Nice little treat to grab during a hot Monday in Arizona!
Bubble Bee is a purely boba ice tea place that has a long list of blended/over ice type of drinks. There's two sizes and it's only a 40 cent increase to get the bigger size. Unlike other places, each of the drinks comes with its own specific boba set and I imagine you'd have to pay extra to change it or add to it since they got a list of all their boba offerings. Their large fat cups go for $7-7.40. I tried a few drinks and I can say that the taste and the quality of the boba is average. There isn't much flavor to their drinks. Note that there's just 16 indoor seats so if it gets busy, you'll just have to order to-go.
Amazing location! We had such a good time we came in right after they open and it was perfect all the way around! They have every flavor you can think of and you can mix and match everything with your flavors. Definitely recommend you try it out yourself. We also had a wonderful customer service. I really appreciate that.
Came by to try out their drinks and they did not disappoint. Absolutely love the ambiance of the store and how clean everything was. Shoutout to our barista Hilary for making our experience fantastic! So many different options are offered and absolutely loved every one of them! Highly recommend! Will return!
I've been going to Bubble Bee (scottsdale location) since it first opened and I ADORE this place!!! Coming from CA boba has been a part of my life from a super young age and Bubble Bee is everything I love in a boba drink plus some. They have a wide variety of specialty flavors and blends and the best part is most everything is ORGANIC! Hell yeah! The King and Queen Taros are my absolute favorites. Super creamy and I also love that their drinks don't have that air freshener type artificial taste cause ewww. One thing I will say is i've noticed in the summertime when its an ungodly temperature they always have the doors open and I asked one time only to be told there's no A/C which is criminal considering their employees have to work in that condition as well as customers coming in when its like 90 inside and everyone is already on the verge of heat induced rage. There were also a few times where my drinks were super watery when I asked for honey and they clearly didnt put any in. These are the only reasons I wouldn't give a 5 star rating but overall Bubble Bee will always be a go-to and I'll continue to get others addicted to their delicious healthier boba drinks
There was a hair in my boba cup!! ew! they are sealed after being made so only could have come from a worker.
I was invited by Bubble Bee to come try them for free! I was happy to because who doesn't want free boba (or food in general)! This is a great little location at Scottsdale Quarter! I strongly believe every major shopping center should have a boba place. I got my favorite milk tea - Taro - & their blended Cali Girl for my daughter. They were both yummy! Next time I'm out & about shopping here, I'll happily stop in for another milk tea! read more

*******From 5 stars to 1 star!!!******* We visit this location all the time and we are in shock that this company would allow their store to have no air conditioning. When we went to go get a drink it was so hot in the store and the poor employees were sweating. Why would you not shut the doors until this is fixed but yet you allow money first instead of putting your employees first. To me this is a disgusting way to run your business. Not only are you putting your employees health at risk but anyone that comes in is standing in 90° or more temperatures! If you're looking for a cool place to cool off and grab a cold drink this location is a no go. Avoid at all cost. Decided to give Bubble Bee a try and it was AWESOME!!!! Super hip environment and the staff was so awesome and answered any questions we had. Rylee helped us out and she was top notch! She explained everything to us and we all found our perfect drink. Bobbas are DELISH!!! Taro is my favorite! We will be returning to this joint! read more

I'm starting to wonder why it seems places can't have unique or cute branding AND an amazing product... Bubble Bee was pretty average in my opinion. With so many boba options in the valley this one doesn't stand out to me. The bee theme is cute. The shop itself is nice and they have a wide selection of beverages, both cold and hot. However, when we arrived most tables had some trash on them or hadn't been wiped down. It wasn't super busy either, it was us and a couple of other people in the shop, no long lines or anything. The girls working weren't exactly rude but weren't friendly either. We tried The Original (brown sugar, creamer, golden tea, honey boba) light on the sugar and Craving (passion fruit, strawberry, peach, white tea) with strawberry jelly instead of the poppers and passion fruit jelly. The original was okay, they did well with it not being too sweet but the boba was kind of hard. The Craving was way too sweet, like overkill flavoring, and the jellies were hard too. For the price I know I could get better boba at other places, so I'm not sure I'll be running back to Bubble Bee. If you're walking around though its convenient and does the trick. Just maybe ask them to go easy on the sweeteners. read more
My friend and I have gone here twice in the last month or so... so you know we like this place. The popping bobas and the little jellies in the drinks are super good and it makes the overall texture so much better than a plain drink. I just wish they had more options on their menu for blended drinks, but this is our go to spot in Scottsdale for boba! read more

Bubble Bee One of the better places for Boba drinks and Slushie. We use to drive e from North Scottsdale to the location in San Tan Village Shopping Center which is close to 40 miles, were happy when they opened another store at The Mills which made it a even more close and are estatic to have this location 5 minutes from our house. The Original is very good and with the honey boba is nice and sweet. I am especially love the Cali Girl which is a Strawberry Slushie with watermelon poppers. I live the icy slushie consistently and the poppers I had to get use to but like them now. Glad to have you in the neighborhood read more

Very disappointed. For a total of $9, I would expect a few more poppers. The staff was extremely cheap, even though I was charged an additional fee for the poppers. Looking at pictures from the site, it looks like it's supposed to come with more, and when I brought this to her attention, she gave me a condescending smile and told me it's actually less than you would think. Happy to take my business elsewhere. read more
Been wanted to try out a bubble bee location for a while now and finally got the opportunity since it's much closer to where I live. Got the Queen Taro - coconut and taro. And it was very underwhelming. Taro is usually my favorite flavor and this was just subpar, so quite disappointed. The boba was good tho. Small location but cute. Service is OK. Drinks are OK. Service part I understand - it gets stressful when busy. I ordered a King Taro and it was blended like crap lol. Super chunky. I have also ordered drinks from here multiple times and asked for boba and lychee jelly and I have had the lychee jelly missing multiple times. read more

It's a cute and hipster boba joint located conveniently in Scottsdale Quarter... BUT being the boba snob that I am, their drinks did not live up to my standards. I've tried this place in person and have ordered delivery. The first time in person I ordered a The Original - Organic Honey Boba Tea. It was not the best I've had but it wasn't terrible. The second time by delivery, I gave this place another chance to redeem itself by ordering something different (fruity drinks) and it was even worse! I just can't justify blowing $6-7 on something I don't absolutely love and can get somewhere else for cheaper. I will not be coming back here and don't recommend it to anyone. read more

Tasty Treats But Tue Slush Tasted More Icy Than Sweet I've been to Bubble Bee in Gilbert and really liked it. This trip into the Scottsdale shop wasn't awesome. Friendly staff but my blended tipsy a kind wasn't very sweet or favor filled. It was pretty ice flavored which was a bummer. I really want to give 3.5 stars, but cannot really justify 4. read more

I love trying bubble tea cafés and this one was good. There is a great selection of flavor combinations. I defaulted to my usual matcha green tea with boba, less sweet. The cup size is really fun. Will come back to try other menu items. read more

Always have great experiences and delicious tea here. So far we have tried the Coco n' Rose, South Beach, Traffic Light, High Thai and Queen Taro. Service is always friendly, the store is always clean, upbeat and inviting. It is also nice to be able to wander around The Quarter to warm up while enjoying the icy delicious teas. read more
Yummmm!! Refreshing and exotic tasting! I practically chugged mine before I walked out of the store, it was love at first sip. I took a gulp of the popping pearls and it was even better than the drink itself, oh my gosh!! I regret not ordering a large! If you have never tried Bubble bee, I was right there with you but now I'm a bee-liever!! The drinks are customizable so don't be afraid to ask to adjust the sweetness level or add-on, the employees are so happy to answer questions of you have any. The atmosphere of the shop was bright and light, open and if I lived closer, I would be here a lot more often, trust me. read more

Bubble Bee has been one of my favorite boba places in the valley! with 3 locations so far, this is the newest. I love their branding, little honeycombs everywhere, their straws have their name and all over their cups. With fun honeycomb decor in the background and LED honeycombs, you feel like you are transported to somewhere completely different than AZ. This place is small but there are still enough seats to sit and relax to enjoy your drink. My favorite is the King Taro but they have a ton of flavors. Every drink is customizable so if you have a friend who is caffeine free, they can accommodate them. I got my king taro with panda style boba and I loved the honey boba, it was light and flavorful! My friends tried some of the more summery drinks like Cali girl and the mango. All of them were really tasty! Great spot in the scottsdale quarter. Parking can be tricky so if you don't see any street parking available there is a parking garage right around the corner. Keep being amazing bubble bee, because the boba rocks! read more

It was my first time here, the place was clean, and they were very friendly. She suggesting things for my likes and tastes as well as let me know i can change things about the drinks. I got a Cali Girl with Guava and it was well made and delicious. The girls also asked me how i liked the deink afterwards to make sure it waWould definitely come again! And Yes! There is A/C (as i've read about in complaints), its been fixed and is no longer a problem! read more

This place was nice. Soooo many options to choose from. I got the Peachy Lychee. It was super yummy and I like that it had both jellies and popping bobas for no extra charge. The atmosphere was nice and clean, but the music was way too loud. No one in my party heard when our drinks were ready until the girls singled us out. I also was not a fan of these bowl sized cups. You can tell they are trying to be different, but the inconvenience of the cup out weighed the cuteness. I would go back again if I was already in Scottsdale quarter for another reason, don't know if I'd go there just for the Boba though. read more

I seriously love bubble bee! When they announced they were coming to the Scottsdale Quarter I actually did a happy dance! I love getting the berry bling bling on my breaks, especially when it's hot outside! Bubble bee has the perfect cool down drinks. The service is usually pretty quick when I stop by for a drink and the staff is always friendly! They only have 2 sizes for the drinks, baby fat and fat cups, but they have so many drinks to choose from its actually crazy! read more

We popped by this place while in Scottsdale. This spot is an awesome addition to all of the foodie spots in the quarter. We got a Coffee Break and an Enchanted Chai. The honey boba and coffee jelly is delightful! We were happy to see that they offered multiple non-dairy milk options. This is a great place to stop by after lunch or if meeting up with friends. read more

Bubble bee was good, but not amazing. I got a lychee tea with lychee jelly. The jelly was standard. The tea was too thick and strong. The building itself was clean and the employees were nice. It is nice that you can make so many customizations to your drink. However, the quality just wasn't there for me. I may need to go back to try a different drink, like a boba milk tea. read more

I was visiting from Charlotte and my family was taking me everywhere! My sister and I were taking a trip to Bath and Body Works when we walked past this place. We took a double take and decided to pop in and see what it's about! I ordered tropical island and my sister ordered Cali girl. It was amazing! I have never had this type of drink before. So good! Highly recommend! Can't wait to come back and visit so I can get another drink here! read more

Ice Age/ Organic Honey boba. I walked in to get ice tea. I had no idea what this place was. It was hot out & I needed something cold. I ordered a jasmine tea & got the Ice Age. So to my surprise it was a milk tea. It's good. More vanilla honey tbh. No jasmine flavor at all. I took off a star because there was no jasmine flavor. Overall, a cute place, cute chubby cups. And the drink was good. The large was $6 something. But organic so it's higher priced. I would come back. read more

I had never tried boba and met my mom in the Scottsdale quarter to give it a shot. The ladies who were working in the shop helped curate a drink for the both of us which happened to be amazing. They have an endless amount of options. Everything from fruity teas to creamy dessert drinks. You can also choose whether you want traditional boba or fruit type poppers. Really fun experience!
