Average sports bar food. We went with a big party on a Saturday at 11, and we sat in the bar area. Some were at a high top and some were in a booth. Very good atmosphere for a Saturday... tons of tvs and tons of variety of food on the menu. The waiter was pretty slow with getting our orders. My friends ordered a bar drink and that took over 20 minutes to come out, even though one was frozen. He also took a while to bring me silverware for my meal. I ordered the chicken strips, and that came with a side salad. I wish the waiter told me this side salad had eggs on it before I got it. I sent it back because I don't like eggs on my salad. This wasn't even in the description. The chicken strips were ok. Good atmosphere with lots of people. The service could have been better.

    The BlackBerry Smash!! Phenomenal!

So my wife and I were meeting my son and his girlfriend here, my first time meeting her. The kiddos picked the place, which I was happy about because I've wanted to try out this American Diner style joint. The wife and I got here early, and decided to have a drink while we wait on them. I had the Blackberry Smash and my wife had a Bloody Mary. Both were absolutely thirst quenching but that Smash?!! Hot damn I wanted to slap Bubba 33 times just for that work of art! Or maybe it was the bartender but dang... zero regrets if you give this a try. Absolutely loved it and in fact, craving one now as I write this review. I ordered some Fried Pickles, and it was crisp and tangy- the way it's supposed to be. We devoured that when my son and GF finally joined us. I ordered the Blackened Bleu Burger, where the patty was juicy and the bacon with bleu cheese was the perfect compliment to each other. We also ordered the Meaty Meaty Pizza to share with the kids while my wife and I split the burger and fries. The service was great, but what was even better was meeting my boy's GF. Such a sweetheart. Now that I'm back in the PNW, I'm wishing we had one of these places closer to me. All in all, great dining, courteous and attentive service, and delicious food! This place looks like it would be fun to watch a sports game or two at. I'll be back to explore other menu options. As always, enjoy and Happy Eating!

Third times a charm!! Love this place. Staff is always polite and the speed of service is great. Great playlist of music fills the place. Food great as always. This time I had the Signature Ribeye 14oz. Hand-cut in-house, seasoned with an espresso rub, seared and finished on the grill with a coffee glaze. The coffee glaze added just a touch of sweetness. Treat yourself and try this steak.

We have been to Bubba's several times, I was surprised I have not already left a review. This time around we took a friend visiting from out of state. We wanted to have a drink, food, and watch some college football. My husband had a Yuengling beer and I had a Gin n' Tonic. We shared an appetizer combo platter. It offered a fun different take on cheese sticks, Crooked Cheese Sticks. Fried Pickle chips (one of my favorite appetizers and these were very good), and Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings (so good and tender). We shared a Double Bacon Avocado Burger. Man! It was a very good and juicy burger. We selected to have tarot tots as our side. While we waited for our food, we not only watched the CFL games, but listened to some pretty awesome (80's mostly) rock in roll... with the music videos. Can you tell that the original MTV was part of my youth?

We went here after a day at the mall. We walked in and found that it looked pretty much like any sports bar USA. We were seated immediately and greeted by a very friendly waiter. Her service was amazing. I had the triple shot watermelon margarita with a "rocker" (extra shot in the side). It was really good. The garlic knots and chorizo queso was excellent . The habanero burger was decent. The burger was good, the cream cheese stuff on top was not really my thing. The spicy fries were good. My kid got the pepperoni pizza. That was actually really good. Good flavor, good crust. Not soggy. Awesome. Service was outstanding. Decent place.

Wonderful place to eat. Fried pickles, loaded fries, fire tots and bacon cheeseburger. I have no complaints. Service was great! Food was super hot.

Food. The onions ring was horrible. Also it took a long time for online orders.. Bubbas Queso was somewhat bland.

You come back to a place like Happy's, and it tastes like a Michelin Star establishment compared to the seafood up in Lubbock. Where is that fish from? The ponds? Ain't no way. Happy's is a staple of Tyler. Owned by the same team as Mercados and Posados, Happy's is their only seafood establishment, and it is a fine piece of art. Inside, there's plenty of lamps and fish hanging on the walls and decor that feels strongly inspired by Mardi Gras. The truest display of their beauty is a chandelier made of Corona bottles. I was meeting my aunt and uncle for lunch with my girlfriend, and my uncle knows this place up and down. You could tell it's one of his favorite spots in Tyler by how he lit up when I suggested it as the place we go to lunch together while I was visiting. We used to go quite a bit when I was still living in Tyler, and he still knows the name of the waitresses and they love him back. I went for the Catfish Po Boy because man did it sound fire. I got it with a side of fries and fried okra. The okra was great and the fries were super crispy. The Po Boy itself was the star of the show. I unwrapped it and destroyed the entire thing. The catfish side was super crispy and delicious and had a fantastic flavor. It tasted fresh and I knew it was really special. My girlfriend got the gumbo and thought it was incredible as well along with eating half of my fried okra. Happy's might have some of the best seafood in Tyler. It's a great establishment, and I was proud to be able to show it to my visiting girlfriend as the pride and joy of some of the food Tyler has to offer. RIYL: Something fishy

There's plenty of nice local establishments, but some can be pricey and some are just more casual than you want. Scott Williams has perfected the restaurants of Tyler that are balanced between affordable and still quite nice. He got his toes in the water with FDs, before expanding into Javi's, Twelve, and now the fanciest of them all in III Palms. I thought of all those options, Twelve would be the most unique and tasty for my girlfriend and I. We went in an hour before they closed on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We weren't too hungry so we didn't expect to be there past their closing time, and we were ready to go. Our waiter was quick and attentive, bringing us water and helping us decide on drinks from the bar and our order. He also showed us their insane over-the-top whiskey menu. If you like whiskey, give Twelve a shot I guess. To order, I just got their 'Osaka Style' Pressed Roll while my girlfriend got a Sushi Bowl Salad. We got Sweet Potato Fries to share. As for drinks, I started with their Monkey See, Monkey Do, an impressive and firm beverage, while my girlfriend ordered their Destin Dream, a fun Pina Colada-like drink. It wasn't long before our food came out. The sushi was beautifully plated with some wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. I destroyed all the rolls. They were all very fresh and very high quality, which was remarkable for their $13.50 price tag. My girlfriend's sushi bowl looked insane. She ate most of it, but I filled the gaps and devoured the rest of it. The sweet potato fries were crispy and heavenly like all sweet potato fries usually are. I felt adventurous and I got a second drink of their Rose Garden, which was simple but flavorful. Compared to FDs, the menu might be a little more sea-inspired and more adventurous, but I think it leads to better, more unique food, especially with offerings like Oyster Rockefeller and a sushi bar. I also know Twelve does a great brunch as well, so keep that on your radar. Ultimately, as the bill came, the price was very manageable even with the alcohol. It's nice that you don't fully have to break the bank to have a nice meal in Tyler thanks to places like Twelve. I rate it a 12/10. Get it? hahahaha... RIYL: A slightly adventurous, but affordable night out.

Jucy's Hamburgers got their start in Longview and eventually came to Tyler. The 5th Street location is the OG of Tyler and has been slinging burgers for as long as I can remember. I have quite a few memories of their location on Old Jacksonville, but upon revisiting Tyler, I had to stop at the 5th Street location. Upon walking in, it has been remodeled quite a bit making it a little more modern and similar in style to the other locations in Tyler. You order at the counter where you can get your burgers, sides, and more before getting a buzzer for when your food is ready. As they cook your burger (or whatever you ordered), you are free to get your free cup of their incredible beans. I took a picture of my girlfriend with her beans to send to my parents, that's how culturally important it is to us. That's course one. 10 minutes later, your buzzer rings and you're given a tray with a glorious burger and whatever delectable sides you decided to grab. Their onion rings are always a must. This time around, at the suggestion of my girlfriend, I also got an order of their Fried Green Tomatoes. Something I have never ordered before, but really enjoyed. It's greasy, it's deep fried, and it's incredible. The burger is as good as I remember. That's course two. As you sit there, trying to decide if housing that burger and cruising through all those onion rings was a good idea, you decide to get another cup of beans for dessert. The bacon inside them is subtle but always appreciated. They have a little heat and a little sweetness. They're a true delight and one of the best individual items you can get at any establishment in East Texas. That's course three. The 5th Street location is still as good as ever. There is just a consistent quality about their food that other places in Tyler lack. Jucy's has no i in its name because i don't deserve to be spoken in the same breath as an establishment as fine as Jucy's. RIYL: Beans. Beans. Beans. Beans. Beans. Beans.

We picked up one a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yesterday on 12/17 we ordered (Take Out) the same Margarita Pizza and a I Love Meat pizza. We began to eat it immediately after we got home and noticed that it very crispy and seemed burnt. After looking at it we saw why it didn't taste good. We had company and didn't have time to drive back and ( wait another 30 plus minutes ( we had placed the order ahead of time online) so we scraped off the burnt as best as we could. I called and was told old a manager would be with me shortly... they finally picked up the phone and told me I could text my complaint to a number that they gave me. I have not received any communication from them. Each pizza was over $25, one would think that they might want to at least say sorry, I guess they don't really care about hearing from a customer. A unburned Dominos would have been far superior and cheaper too.
