Bubba's was in the parking lot across from my hotel which I landed in after driving for seven hours and into the setting sun as we approached Albuquerque during rush hour. Needless to say we were more than willing to give it a shot rather than going out for another drive in search of food. The pizza was a pleasant surprise, with light chewy crust that didn't land like a rock in the pit of your stomach. Fresh sausage, onions and cheese rounded it out to about a gajillion times better than having Dominos delivered to the hotel. The chicken and bacon Mac n cheese was good too, with tender bites of chicken flavored just right. The entire meal was just under $25 which is a deal. We stay at the Fairfield periodically but this was the first time we've tried Bubba's 33. Amazing service and delicious food tonight. The staff did a great job implementing social distancing and gracefully told patrons not to vape in the patio area! Bravo. We got there at peak dinner time without a wait. We ordered the traditional wings, (shotgun and hot sauces), garlic knots, and shroom burger with fire fries. Everything came out in a reasonable time and in good temperature. Flavor was great too. It was our first time to Bubba's and while we typically do not support chain restaurants, we will be back to try out more dinner options like the pizzas and entrees. Ive been wanting to check out this place for years and today I finally did. I'm sorry to say I wasn't impressed. Sad face. It took us 30 minutes to get our food today. They were moderately busy. When the waiter asked if everything was ok after 25 I said, "Yes. We are just hungry." His response? "So am I." Say what? Lol! Had never been here before and was looking for somewhere to watch the football games. Yelp brought me to Bubba's and I was excited when I walked in. The amount of TV's in this place were amazing. I got seated quickly and the drinks were brought out quickly as well. I ordered a water and the marble IPA. The beer was nice and cold and it tasted great. The waitress was quick considering how busy it was and got the food order in quick. I ordered the sunrise burger which was delicious. The fried egg on top sold me when I was looking at the menu. The burger was perfectly cooked to medium and the bacon was nice and crunchy! My brother ordered the Mac and cheese and he absolutely loved it. It was super filling and a great comfort food option. What an experience!!! My husband wanted to take me here because he goes often with people at work and I have to say the food was great but the service was better. We sat in the inner bar where they had all different football games on, which for us was so enjoyable. The seasoned chips tasted a tiny bit of paprika. I won't be ordering that ever again. My husband had the Bacon Guacamole Burger. He had no idea that it was a bacon and beef mixture? Everytime I drove by Bubbas 33, the parking lot was packed. I never stopped to check it out until this past Sunday. Bubbas is a sports bar, that occasionally airs UFC and boxing matches. Our waiter, told us that they showed the last Holly Holm fight and the owner is considering showing the Mayweather vs. MacGregor fight. Cover will be $10 if they do it. We went here to celebrate my son passing his AP History test and getting college credit. The waiter joked with him quite a bit and offered great service. We were eating 10 minutes after we arrived. All three of us ordered burgers and fries. I don't remember the names of the specialty burgers, but my son said it was the best burger he'd ever had. My wife agreed and I would honestly place it in my top 10. They put bacon skices on top of the burger and bacon pieces inside it! Our drinks were constantly refilled and they had lots of televisions with different major league games and NBA summer games. We watched the Lakers beat the Brooklyn Nets. There are 2 bars here, booths, tables, and outdoor seating. They have radio stations inside giving away SWAG during certain days of the week. Horrible experience. Bubba's on Pan American freeway in Albuquerque. The bad experience starts off with the waiting in the lobby. Lobby is just inside the front doors where the waitress stand is or the host stand. Music was blaring and 10 times louder than needed to be. I actually pulled out my phone and turned on a decibel meter and the music was so loud it was bouncing right up against 80 decibels which is the red line. Never went below 70. Most often was between 75 and 80. Very uncomfortable. Unable to carry on a conversation over a 2 ft wide table even when leaning in and nearly yelling. Decibel meter was same in lobby and at our table. Then they told us our table was ready and we thought okay it's not going to be as loud inside there. Well, I was wrong. Okay everybody orders. One person wanted a turkey burger and they were out of turkey. Okay restaurants run out of things maybe there's a shortage right now I don't know. Next up one in our party orders a hamburger with no sauce. Well it took long enough to get there and sure as heck it came with sauce. So back to the kitchen that goes to be remade. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Cheeseburger and fries was pretty good. No complaints about that food. Next person orders a pizza. About a half hour later we inquire about the pizza. The waitress checks on it it's not ready yet. It finally gets there when me and one of our party are just about finishing our hamburgers and they were big. In the meantime the table next to us with a single party had gone to the restroom or something for a moment. In the meantime the table busser tries to take the guys tea. We inform him that the guy will be back in just a moment he's just gotten to the restaurant hardly sat down. So they leave the tea. Little bit later the guy has to get up and go do something else for a minute,. Busser comes by again and takes the tea actually this time. We inform the waitress and the guy sitting there and the waitress supposedly puts in a word for them not to buss that table because the customer is still there waiting on their food. Wait staff who was waiting on us commented that they were rethinking their decision to move to Albuquerque. Joking or not I don't know. But I wouldn't want to work an 8-hour shift with music blaring that loud which "will" damage your hearing after exposure for a while. Tried to leave a message on the Bubbas fb page with intent to add the rest of the story that I'm adding here once I got home. No luck they've already apparently deleted it. And that comment was only on the loud music that was pegging the DB meter. Left another comment asking if they delete comments. I expect it to be gone as well. With only good comments somebody going to the Facebook page to try and see what other patrons think about the service and the food they would think everything was just fine. It's not. While the waitress was slow checking on us to see if we needed refills on drinks that wasn't the bulk of the problem. The bulk of the problem is as mentioned above. Take ear plugs or hearing protection and don't expect to be able to carry on a conversation in the restaurant without pretty much yelling across a 2 ft table. read more
