Maybe if I were to have gotten it got and fresh it would have been better, but it was full of cheese, which had gotten a little hard because it was transported from the restaurant to my home. We came to Bubba's for a craft night with Moonlight Makes. I'd been wanting to try it, but never gotten around to stopping here. The place is fairly large and I enjoyed the comedic seats at the bar top, the kind that have funny underwear or pants on. My family and I got drinks fairly quickly, but my boyfriend had gotten there about 20 minutes before us, he wasn't offered a drink or even water. We got a fun pizza they made I cannot remember the name of it, but it was like a nacho pizza with green chili. It was SO good. We ate so many pieces of it. It seems like a popular place and we had a nice area reserved for us to make Gingerbread Adobe Houses. We'll probably come back again and try out a few other items. read more

I tried this place today with my daughter because I had signed up for their email list / MVP and received a coupon in my email for a free kids meal because my daughter's bday is coming up. Well what a good chance to try a new place when you get something for free, yea? We arrived at the restaurant about 5pm, before the dinner rush. There was no one waiting to be seated ahead of us and we were led to a booth right away. The menus are kept on the table so I looked them over, even though I already browsed the menu online and pretty much knew what I wanted to order. We chose lemonade for drinks, regular and strawberry. I'm not sure how they make their lemonade, but it was on the sour side. (I know, I know, it's lemon. Of course it's sour. I suppose you don't realize you like your lemonade on the sweet side till it's too sour for you, lol.) Other than my preference, the drinks were good and cold. I chose a half order of onion rings for an appetizer and they came out shortly. I think there were 6 large rings in the basket, so I assume a full order would be more like 12 rings. They were some of the best onion rings I've had =) Not only was the outside not too thick or overly fried, but the onions themselves tasted great on their own too (my daughter just eats the "crust" part, and I didn't want the onions going to waste, heh). These were served with ranch and also Bubba sauce, which was described to me as a sort of bbq sauce. Our entrees came out not long after we were finished with the appetizer, which is great because you know how kids don't like waiting for their food to come. My kid had a kids meal grilled cheese with fries, while I was looking forward to eating the Aloha Burger with a substitution of sweet potato fries. The food appeared to be constructed as expected from the menu descriptions. The only funny thing was that I think the grilled cheese was just hamburger buns turned inside out, with the "insides" buttered and toasted, so the cheese on the "outsides", if that makes sense. Usually grilled cheese comes on a square bread variety, but my kid didn't seem to care anyway, lol. My burger was pretty good, except that with such an interesting combination of ingredients, to put it all in a plain toasted bun seemed to be a bit of injustice. It made me think of when we make homemade hamburgers and we get the cheap buns that the meat doesn't even fit into. I'd suggest at least a larger bun, like a potato bun? Going back to the sweet potato fries, they were pretty good too. Cooked well but not burned, seasoning made them pop, and plenty so that I had some to take home for a snack. This meal is also served with a pickle spear. Check-out was a swift process, and we were given to-go boxes and the check in a timely manner. The waiter and other staff that served us were overall pleasant and seemed genuine. The menu had affordable options and I noticed a number of specials that run throughout the week. Our server today was Hope and she was AMAZING. It was our first time at Bubba's with a party of 4, one of which was my niece who was turning 7 today. The food was very good and came fast. At the beginning of our meal we accidentally spilled a whole beer into the middle of the table. Hope and the other staff were super quick to help us clean it up. They also brought out a complimentary cookie and ice cream for my niece's birthday and sang her a quick song. We had a very enjoyable experience and will be back for sure! read more

This place was overall very solid. I loved the atmosphere with all the flatscreen TVs and rock music. The staff was also very friendly to my family during our dine in. The appetizers were ok, the fried pickles and the boneless wings could have definitely been better. The main entree burger, the Sunshine Burger was really good with the oozing egg, bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and onion. It was a superb. The fries that came with it weren't very flavorful. This place needs to refine some of their foods and it will be super delicious and I can see myself coming here a lot more often! read more

So...we were really jones'en for a good burger and some wings. I know, I know...not quite a healthy fix but none the less, when the cravings arise, once must do what one must do. :) Thumbed through many of the reviews and although there were a few common themes of "Salty" being pointed out from many of the commenters, we ignored it and marched in. Well, the reviewers were correct. The food was good but to us, it was overly salty. I know...burgers and wings are supposed to be a "well-seasoned" foods but we've had very good burgers and wings elsewhere and they both didn't seem quite as salty. All in all, it's nice, convenient place with lots of tv's and staff to make you're experience fun. Whether you want a quick meal before a movie or to hangout and enjoy a game or two...you'll be able to do that here...just plan on a little extra hydration. :) read more

I've seen a post about mgt not mandating masks for employees. It's still hasn't changed. Staff wandering all over the establishment with masks covering their chins. The female staff generally gets it but the males are intentionally being jerks about it. I left earlier than the game completion because it felt like mgt didn't care about customers. I always order the chicken avocado bacon sandwich. My Daughter gets the cheese pizza and cheese sticks. Everything is pretty good tasting. The wait on a Friday night is kinda long and the atmosphere is cool but noisy. I enjoy looking at the cool signs posted around the restaurant. Didn't have a beer but they looked good and ice cold. Me and my friend came here on a Thursday night for dinner. It was very busy, but we only had to wait about 20 minutes before being seated. They have added extra "patios" under large tents to accommodate guests since indoor dining is closed. I think this is great! The service was very fast considering how busy it was. Had curbside pickup order. Got there early and didn't mind the wait. Do not order the Stromboli. It was flat as a pancake with very little filling or sauce. Not sure what the orange spicy sauce was, not good. My grandson was very upset that paid so much for it. My California Chicken was so over cooked it had deep char marks, dried-out and tough. I often stop along this row of restaurants when my nursing visits run late. I got there at 8;15. No excuse for this food. No complaints with the you woman who brought the food out. She was very nice. I went here to watch baseball and college football with my friends. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders were friendly and personable. we ordered wings, fries and fish and chips. The night was going well up until I asked for another beer and the bartender informed me that they had a five drink maximum, per local management policy NOT corporate policy. When I inquired if this was a Bubba's policy, the bartender informed me that it was a local policy and that it was the managers decision to have a five drink maximum. No other Bubba's does this. As I was having a discussion with my friends about how I felt the policy was ridiculous a manager who was overhearing our discussion, decided to inform us that it was for our own safety that management decided to implement a five drink maximum. I could go on about how disappointed I was with this personal invasion, but the bottom line is Bubba's is a good establishment overall and this local Albuquerque, NM location should NOT be indicative of other locations. If you are looking to go watch a sporting event this is a good place to hang out, but because of a local management policy on how adults can or should drink, I would not recommend this establishment. read more

Is it possible to give this place a ZERO? It's 100 degrees outside and while waiting our 20-25 minutes to go in "EVERYONE" went under their unused extra large tent to escape the direct sunlight. Rings awesome as well as the queso dip which comes with two different Bubba sauces. Prices are fair for a sports bar. Have a very good selection on there menu to everyone. Staff seemed happy and very attentive. Now we were here on a Wednesday afternoon so not as busy as we have seen the parking lot in the past. I generally am anti chain restaurants but I always seem to enjoy my trips to Bubba's. They have great specials after 9pm and offer huge local beers on draft. I recommend the nachos (which come with chicken and chorizo) and the pizza is pretty good too (try the Albuquerque turkey) If you are looking for a good sports bar with good food and a ton of tvs at decent volume look no further. I still give this place 5 stars! It is unfortunate to hear these reviews of people getting bad service but EVERY TIME I have been here I have ONLY had EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE! Even with different servers. I really do love this place. I love coming in at their night time happy hour. I love getting the 16 inch pizzas for only $10! Always a steal for some of the best tasting pizzas I've ever had. This time we got the 33 Deluxe. Even with different toppings, the crust, sauce and toppings all worked so well together! We also got their drinks which have been consistently amazing. I love their trash can punch! Super fun drink with the right amount of alcohol. I love the ambiance of this place. Tons of tvs and always lively. The mix of music is great too, a little of everything for everyone. For me, service has NEVER been an issue. I hope it gets better for everyone else... Amazing food, try the bacon burgers because there is bacon right in the patty itself. Sunshine burger was phenomenal. Fries are great and perfect cross of crunchy and not overdone. Staff was friendly and excellent at refills and greeting us immediately. The bus boy gets special props because I spilled my drink and he was walking pas and rather than let it spill on my dad he grabbed the bussing tray and caught the liquid. So kind and great speed. Love the mix of TV channels and the music is wonderful. Glad there were music videos on the screens since I'm not a sports person.
