Came here looking for some good bbq and I did not find it ! The brisket was dry the chicken was fall off the bone but no flavor the pulled pork was also dry. The beans and greens were actually decent and the corn was simply that bread was soaked in butter so it was super soggy not sure if it's because we bought so much of it but it was not edible . I gave it 2 stars because the customer service was great and they were so friendly. No issues with the cleanliness and they gave us a good rundown of the flavors of sauce which I do recommend buying! read more

Second time I've been here and never disappoints. Every time I go tubing with friends, we usually stop here because 1) it's close to the park 2) we are starving so we don't have time to search other places haha Anyways, I always get the sammich, #1 bubbas que on garlic bread! This was a good restaurant! We stopped on the way home from kayaking by rainbow springs. It's a great spot to stop if your traveling. When you first walk in you see a cool BBQ atmosphere. Lots of unique nicknacks on the wall. They were a little short staffed (but everywhere is!!) The waitress was really friendly and explained the menu and items she likes and are popular. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich. It was good flavor. Spicy but not too much. The Mac and cheese was delicious! My friend got two sides and was so full she had to take it home. We always loved this place... Used to be great. No more. Absolutely the worst dried out brisket we've ever had in our lives. When we told the waitress we couldn't eat it because it was so dry, we got a whopping 10% off (and yeah, she never came to check on how it was until we had finished the edible stuff) I asked her to look at how dry the brisket was and she said "I don't eat brisket" and turned around and walked away without even looking! Dave had the brisket plate which was the inedible brisket, garlic toast, broccoli and fries and Becky had the brisket & rib (3 very small half ribs) combo, garlic toast, coleslaw and fries. Food was dry and overcooked. I honestly didn't know the ribs were ribs until I found the bone in one, it just looked like a lump of meat. Didn't get past the one piece. The pulled pork was bearable with enough sauce to give it some moisture. The chicken didn't look safe, and I tried a piece and it was dry. The brisket was just embarassing. I liked the coleslaw. The mac and cheese was without flavor. Honestly, I would not go back to this location again. Bad food. Weird environment. The other 3 people who were eating there were sitting alone and there was awkwardly no music or anything so they just sat there and butted in our conversations and it was sorta weird. It used to be great with great service. Was one of my favorites. We watched our food sit in the window for 20 min with multiple servers and cooks walk right past. The bartender was out on the floor because there was nobody else component enough to do anything. I had to finally ask a girl that worked there that was sitting at the bar if she was allowed to run food. Which she rolled her eyes and slowly made her way to get it. At this point the turkey was hard as a rock. The sides not edible and that had nothing to do with them sitting in the window. The girl behind the bar was very nice and did take it away. My husband and I had placed an order for a Case on the catering menu side for pick up on Sat May 16. Order should have contained - -2 chickens -2 lbs Brisket -2 lbs Pulled Pork -3 racks of Ribs -4 sides -4 Gallons of sweet Tea -24 pieces of bread The first issue with the order is that when my husband went to pick it up at the time they had allowed, they had no clue what our order sides were supposed to be. He ended up having to wait about a half hr while they got it all together. Now when they brought it out for him, he felt like there should have been more pans of food. He mentions something to the hostess and she went back inside and confirmed that we had all of our food and that there wasn't anything else back there for us. When he got home and was able to open the it, the order actually only contained - -chicken -brisket -Pork -NO RIBS! -4 sides -ONLY ONE GALLON OF TEA -bread They didn't get us one of the most expensive parts of the meal! We ended up having to drive ALL THE WAY BACK THERE to get the rest of our order after we had called to let them know if our error. We are just upset and aggravated, not that a mistake was made, but that when we tried to bring it to their attention we were blown off and it resulted in an additional 45min trip and hungry bellies. read more

I love this place! My husband and I go there frequently and enjoy their BBQ. Their pulled pork is excellent and melts in your mouth. The servers are so upbeat and helpful. I took some relatives from out of state there last week and we really enjoyed a nice lunch. They really liked the atmosphere and the decor and what's really great is they do take out. read more

Contrary to some previous reviews the experience here tonight was excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. Orders were the St Louis ribs and Shrimp basket. Both were well prepared and tasty. Would have no hesitation in coming back Update: Did dinner again last night. Service couldn't have been better. Had a wing basket and the meaty wings were just right. Guess I just like this place. There is nothing consistent from one cook to another. Today Jean was cooking. He/she was on their off day. They served the fattiest slices of brisket I've ever had there. The biscuit (for biscuits and gravy) wasn't even heated. My breakfast, bubba's brisket/cheddar omelette(the only breakfast I order now. When it's good, it's really good) was lacking. Last Saturday the omelette was the best I've ever had. Today's was less than half the brisket. A slice&a half of toast. The waitress apologized and said she would get another. I guess the cook was hungry. The bottom line is bubbaques could be a great restaurant if they would only be consistent.
