While I was perusing the menu, Shana went to another table, but she returned quickly to take my order. My Farmhouse Hash arrived in about 10 minutes, and it was delicious. Shana checked in with me a few times during my meal, but she didn't hover, which I appreciated. The restaurant was spotless, with a diligent cleaning crew ensuring a hygienic environment after each patron's departure. However, I noticed a minor issue: the restroom water was trickling out during my handwashing. I promptly informed an employee about this problem, and she promptly called out to someone, likely the manager. It was reassuring to witness the staff's attentive response and the swift action taken to address the issue. The food was quickly delivered at the right temperature and tasted wonderful. The staff was generally friendly and attentive, even though the restaurant was moderately busy. Shana, in particular, stood out as a fantastic employee. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

That peaceful feeling remains, in its successor-this still newish First Watch. They've opened it up in here... no room dividers-the duct work exposed in the now higher ceiling. When you walk in, there are booths and tables left, right and center-and a cute little high top bar to the right (juices and juice blends and, I believe, limited cocktails. They have some on the menu) The decor is contemporary industrial, with some charming vintage touches sprinkled here and there. And a mural reminds you you're in Brandon-a nice nod to local. I was happily seated by a big window. My server was sweet-brought water right away. (And what is it about cold water in a glass bottle, poured into a glass ? It's magical! I'd make Mom proud and up my water intake if I served it that way at home) She gave me plenty of time to choose my breakfast. I went with the "traditional"-2 scrambled eggs, 3 pieces of bacon (you can choose other meats-or upgrade to their million dollar bacon), breakfast potatoes and thick, rustic toast with butter. Oh, it was good-especially the bacon. I paired it with a kale juice blend that was tasty and hopefully healthy. (My carbonated Diet Coke bloodstream needed a break) It came to just under $22. I'd order it again, but there are lots of other intriguing options on both the regular menu-and the seasonal one. It's comfy, casual, cozy and spotlessly clean. It wasn't overly busy on the Tuesday morning I was there-but it was in between breakfast and lunch. I'm sure it's bustling at prime times. There's lots of parking and abundant covered, outdoor seating on two sides of the building. It's easy, breezy and yum. Oh yes, I'll be back.
