The kindest people run this place, and I swear you can feel the love in the food they make! This is our go-to place for Thai food and being introduced to Lao cuisine was an added bonus. I consider myself as someone who knows their Thai food. This place has great pad thai and generous portions with takeout. The Lao sausage was also really tasty. I would pass on the dumplings though. I also appreciate that they're open later than most spots in the area. I've only ever gotten takeout so I can't judge based in the ambiance, etc. read more

Bualoy is consistently fresh and delicious. Their staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and various menu items are well prepared. Their pho is very clean and you can tell the ingredients are freshly prepared. Pad Thai and drunken noodles are also really tasty. Ordered take out and the containers were half empty!!! Spent $100 and got half the portions of any other thai restaurant I have ever been to. Service was terrible from the start of the order. The employee who took the order kept putting me on hold and repeating the order back incorrect. When we called to complain about the portions the women hung up on us. She also admitted that portions were a issue in the past but they have "resolved" the issue since. This food was ordered for guests at my house and was not enough to feed half the guests. Complete WASTE of money and the worst customer service. read more

We've gotten take out here many times during quarantine these last few months. The food is consistently excellent! Take out process is super easy and staff is friendly. We've tried many things on the menu from pho, curry, Tom yum soup, salads etc and you really can't go wrong. The pho ga is a staple to our order and we will keep coming back! read more

Amazing find on the Main Line - will return again and again! We went to Bua Loy last night for a birthday celebration. I can't say enough about the high quality and authenticity of the food. Everything we ordered was delicious! We started off with the Bua Loy Sample which was great for a first-time diner. Next we had the Nam Khao Salad which was recommended by the staff. OMG! It was one of the best dishes I've ever had and I never would have thought to try it had they not recommended it. Highly recommend! We also tried the Pad Thai, Green Curry and Seafood Hot Pot. All amazing! We ordered some sticky rice to go with the Green Curry which was a perfect complement. For dessert, we had Mango Sticky Rice and Roached Banana in Cocunut Cream. It didn't matter that I was already full, I had to make room for both these wonderful desserts - the perfect ending for our birthday dinner. Fantastic food and service! Stopped in for dinner tonight and could not have asked for a better experience. We ordered the beef satay, bua Loy dumplings, khao piak zen soup (our favorite dish of the night), curry and poached banana in coconut cream (order it, thank me later). Delicious! Based on other Yelp reviews, we tried their famous Laotian sausage. Delish! Especially with the side sauce. Had the Late Night Noodles- so tasty. I asked for "medium heat" but will go with mild next time. Woo-hoo! A little too spicy for my palate but delicious none the less. Husband got the red curry with beef. Loved it! Really great meal. The star was the Laotian sausage appetizer, with sticky rice. Outstanding and unique dish. We also had the spring rolls, late night noodles and a stir fry. Everything was nicely prepared and delicious. The service was attentive and top-notch. Ask for the hot chili oil if you want to add some heat to your dish. Wish I could give them 5 but some of their food wasn't authentic as I would of liked it. Beef salad was basically beef with 3 pieces of lettuce. It wasn't a salad at all. Wasn't used to that. The nam rice had coconut flakes which I have never had that in the rice before. My friends mom make authentic Laos/ Thai food and this wasn't even close. Way to sweet. The only thing I did like was the papaya salad and the Laos sausage. I hope they get a better cook. The food took forever. read more

I was introduced to Bua Loy about two months ago and was so impressed that I've been back at least five times with a number of different friends. Everybody loves it. How could you go wrong with : delicious food with fresh ingredients; friendly and warm service; a very comfortable environment (and you can hear each other talk);clean clean clean - I noticed them wiping down their menus before the coronavirus; very reasonably priced, and a BYO- And all of the above has been consistent. This review is not on the food (they completely messed up the order) but rather the general chaos of the restaurant. I ordered on line per the web site and got a confirm via email. I waited 45 minutes per instructions. When I showed up on Saturday night there were people standing everywhere either waiting for tables or take-out or service. There did not seem to be anyone working outside the kitchen to help customers coming through the door. When I finally was able to speak to someone about picking up my take out order I was told that the system was 'messed up'. Not sure what that means but they did not have my confirmed order and when i asked if i could order and come back i was told at least 45 minutes. ...I ended up just going to VeeKoo. With that said I really like the menu and hope to experience the food one day if they can shake out the bugs in their take out experience. read more

We are not that familiar with the many types of dishes on this extensive menu so took the server's suggestions and started with the crispy rice lettuce wrap - they were so delicious! They have a wonderful complex flavor and texture with crunchy and cool, sweet and spicy, herbs and peanuts on romaine leaves. The pad thai and drunken noodles were also very good. Lovely family-run spot. They've done a great job updating the space, which is bright and clean and welcoming. The service was excellent - friendly and attentive, and very accommodating to the little ones in our group. We've yet to encounter a dish that wasn't delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Our favorite standouts so far after three visits (two dine in and one takeout) are the pad ka prow, the nam khao salad, the red curry, the Thai coconut pudding, and the mango sticky rice. The vegetables in all of the dishes were perfectly cooked, and even the lettuce leaves appeared carefully selected for crunch and appearance, as did the perfectly ripe mango. We went for Father's Day. Dad, Mom, daughter (21 and picky eater) and son (19 and will eat anything). We had the sample platter of appetizers and Laotian Sausage. My daughter and I split the crispy duck and it was delicious, My son had the Pho Ga and took half of it home. My husband had the special that was Ping Seen (skirt steak). Everything was good and the staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. Try it. read more
