I needed to get a pedicure while I was visiting my daughter who attends Baylor. Pros: I didn't have to wait. The location is close to Baylor. Cons: the entire staff looks less than thrilled to be there. I have never had a pedicure where only one coat of polish was applied. 80% of the paraffin wax was left at the bottom of the bag (by my heal not touching my feet). I would not recommend this location unless you're in a hurry. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I do not live in Waco, but was here visiting girlfriends of mine and decided to spend our morning relaxing and getting our nails done. This experience was everything BUT relaxing. We immediately walked in, and were bossed around. The workers were extremely stressed and all over the place...not to mention, the place smelled completely of cigarette smoke. We each wanted gel pedicure (the signature classic) and either a full set on nails or dipping powder. The woman who did our pedicures was completely out of sorts and could not speak English to communicate. She was blatantly rude and ignored everything we said to her. I asked for the signature classic pedicure with gel polish...to give a description of this particular pedicure, you are supposed to get a sugar scrub, nail care (cuticle trim, filing, buffing, clipping, etc.), lotion, hot towels, mud mask, and some sort of massage. I got a sugar scrub and hot towels with the gel polish...that was it! They then proceeded to make me pay $45 for the pedicure, after explaining none of the duties were fulfilled during the pedicure process. They apologized and that was it. Again, this woman did 2 out of the 3 of us and messed up both pedicures. Fast forward to the next morning, I look down at my toes and they aren't the pretty hot pink color I picked out....they are now a glow in the dark yellow color AND one of my dipping powder nails is cracked. I paid $95 total for this service and I have already made an appointment to see my nail technician in Austin, Tx to fix my pathetic pedicure and manicure. If you are looking to get your nails done in Waco, Tx, please go to any other place but this one!! If you like being treated like dirt, and enjoy paying a lot for basically nothing, then this place is the right choice for you. They don't care at all about their customers. TRASH of a nail salon. read more

So this place has always done a GOOD job, never great, but that's fine because I would always get the mani/pedi combo that used to be $45 together and get what I paid for: a mediocre job. So I never complained and everyone was nice. I used to go about once a month or so with my mom. But recently for some reason they went way up on their prices (even though Tina claimed it was only a $5 difference, I'm not stupid) and added some weight loss pills and essential oils and tea??? For example: it used to cost about $50 for me and my mom to get the basic pedicure, but now it costs $70 together. I shouldn't have even tipped, but it wasn't the pedicurist's fault. I guess they want to be high-end for all the Baylor clients. They don't want poor people like me in their store anymore and I could really feel it going in this last time. read more

Super enjoyable! I was hesitant at going to BU because of the reviews here on yelp, but I've had a handful of people recommending me to try it out. I got a dip manicure with tips by Paige! she did a great job and absolutely loved how my nails came out. definitely will go again! read more

So we were welcomed by a barking dog but that was the least of the issues. My daughter had just run a 1/2 marathon so we splurged and opted for the $60 detox pedicure because it came a leg mud mask, paraffin wax, hot stones and with 10 extra minutes of massage. Almost seemed worth the outrageous price. Less than 15 minutes later we were completely finished (and that included 60 seconds for my eyebrow wax). Not sure how this was even possible as anyplace else this would have been a 45 minute pedicure. Oh, and the girl doing my daughter's pedicure was clearly annoyed with her co-worker and kept making rude faces at her. At one point even gave threw her an aggressive "tsk". The one redeeming factor about this not so BU-tiful experience was the dogs that jumped from lap to lap...As long as you don't mind being greeted by a bark or a little lap dog therapy. Definitely will not be returning! read more

I came here for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The gel was thick and my nails were all uneven. The pedicure wasn't bad but it also wasn't anything special. About 2 days later, my gel began to chip and less than a week in it was almost all peeled off. I paid $80 to have my nails look average for 3 days. Not worth it in my opinion, wouldn't come back. read more

They're always very welcoming and do their best to give you everything you want. I have gotten the dip powder several times and have always been very happy with their work. The same goes for their pedicures as well. The salon is always very clean and tidy as well. read more

BU-tiful Nails - This is the dip powder, and I'm obsessed. I have also gotten a pedicure here several times and have always been happy with their work! - Nail Salons Near Me - Waco, Texas

Besides the slightly higher price than I am used to, I HIGHLY recommend this place. I get dip powder everytime and it lasts for 3+ weeks. No matter who I get they do a good job and are pleasant to talk to during. read more

A huge red flag when I walked in, very few customers and most employees were sitting around on their phones. I tested the waters and got my eyebrows here, never again! Never in my 30yrs of having my eyebrows waxed have I ever had such a bad wax job it looks like a choppy hair cut! Good thing I can cover up the choppiness with makeup until they grow back. I will never go back here!! read more

Love this place! A little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for! My nails always come out exactly how I want them, and the nail techs really know what they're doing. They are also good company to chat with. I recommend BU to everyone who asks. read more

My go to! Hit them up! Always listen and do it exxactly how you want it. Also very close to BAYLOR

I waited 5 years for a nail salon of this quality in Waco. Tina (owner/operator) is the sweetest and very attentive to detail and customer experience. They have a great selection of colors for dip nails, and the dip itself is high quality. I have had many different nail techs for manis and pedis and never had an issue. I even prefer getting my eyebrows done here over European Wax Center. I have been to almost every single nail salon in Waco (not exaggerating) and this is by far the cleanest, highest quality. I would consider myself slightly hard to please in this area but BU-Tiful nails does not disappoint!!! Sadly I graduated and moved back home, so here goes another hunt for a nail salon gem. read more

I just moved to Waco and I needed to find a good nail place. I was super skeptical because it seemed like every single salon had some review on them saying how terrible they were. But BU-tiful Nails is near by so I decided to give it a shot. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. I got a pedicure and dip mani! The guy was VERY careful and meticulous, which is something I greatly appreciated. If he saw he made a mistake, he IMMEDIATELY corrected it. My nail techs name was Ty and I thought he did an amazing job! He was very kind and professional. The salon was clean. Receptionist was very nice. I had a GREAT experience. I will be returning! read more

They hurried so fast on my sister's nails that they did the wrong thing, made her hands bleed, made the nail super thick, and left the powder all over her hands. I waited for an hour for them to even be ready to sit me down and start on my nails. read more

Dirty and expensive! $20.00 for a mini manicure. Polish began to peel after only 3 days. Will never go back or recommend! read more

Went here while on a ladies trip. A couple of the girls were bleeding by the end of their experience because the tech cut their cuticles too deep. My tech did a great job but we were all frustrated in the end when the gentleman at the front made up his own prices (charging two of my friends the same amount as someone who had upgraded to gels and Deluxe pedicure and charging me $15 less than everyone else for no reason). We didn't realize until after we left so we were pretty disappointed. read more

Absolutely worst nail experience i have ever had. I asked the lady for a new set of acrylic nails three times and then she proceeded to ask if i wanted to get them filled. to which i told her no because i wanted a new set. but she filled them anyways. one nail had broken off the day before so i asked her if she would put a new nail on it and she said yes. TO WHICH SHE DID NOT. so my nails weren't even length in the slightest bit. she was also coughing and hacking most of the appointment and it made me very uncomfortable. would not recommend. read more

I went to this place on Monday. Tina did my manicure and she did a great job and was really nice to talk to. I didn't know the name of the person that did my pedicure but she also did a great job and was really nice about fixing my toes when I messed up the polish getting up to leave. All of the staff was very friendly. Everything was also clean! I will definitely be going back the next time I want a mani pedi! read more

They do a great job but on a few occasions one of the technicians, Jeff, had done my nails and would curse, talk about crude things and speak poorly about women and Baylor students while I would be getting my nails done. After trying a lot of other places, I still liked BU-tiful Nails best so I returned there but refused to have Jeff as my technician. That had been fine for a while but of course, all good things come to an end. Today, when I politely and discreetly told the owner that I would just wait to have my nails done when someone else was available, Jeff threw quite the tantrum. Instead of taking his break like she asked him to do, he continued to insist that he would do my nails. Eventually, the owner informed him that I requested to have someone else. She returned to a client and responsed with "F*#$ that, she can suck my d*$%." Thankfully I felt safe enough to stand up for myself and confronted him but I feel inclined to share this. This goes to show why I requested to wait for another technician in the first place! After sharing this with friends, I have learned that he openly discusses his sex life with them and makes lewd comments at many female clients. Unless Jeff is no longer employed there, I will not be going back. It is a shame because the rest of the staff do a great job and the owner is a young entrepreneur who works really hard, but this is the stuff that women, especially young women, have to deal with all the time, and it just isn't okay. And if you ever see another life -- man, woman, child, animal -- being treated poorly, say something! Sometimes people need help standing up for themselves. If you go to BU-tiful Nails, please request not to have Jeff as your technician. Paige did my nails last time and was great and Tina always does wonderful. If Jeff is gone I will gladly change this to a 5 star review but until then, know that this is probably not the place to bring you children or go to if you are a woman. read more

Although their work is nice, I was really upset when I got the basic pedicure, which is priced at $25, and ended up paying $50. The woman who did my pedicure said it was an extra $25 for take off and gel polish. I find that extremely overpriced and wish that someone would have mentioned it was that much extra before I sat down, I would have just gone somewhere else. The lady was super rude about it too. I've never written a bad review before but this left me feeling scammed. read more

Great service!!!! Def recommend here. Reasonable prices and convenient location. I would definitely come back. The color selection is great also. read more

I don't understand the negative reviews on this place! My girlfriend LOVES this place! She goes here all the time and gets her nails done and always loves it !! Jeffro usually takes care of her and always does an amazing job! If anything is ever not up to her standards she simply returns and they fix it up for her at no cost! Great customer service ! Highly recommend! read more

The customer service at this place is a joke. The staff acts like you walking in is the biggest inconvenience in the world. They are clearly annoyed if you take over a minute to pick your color. They rush through everything and you pay like $30 for a 10 minute pedicure. It's so bad!!!!! read more

I had a terrible experience here. The lady who did my nails was so rude to me. I asked for a refill for my powder nails and instead of putting the new color of powder on top she put clear powder and then painted gel on top. I asked her about it when she was putting on the clear powder to make sure she was doing the right color and she proceeded to tell me that this was the way that every place does it and that she's just refilling them and got really snappy about it and then asked if I ever get my nails done bc I should know this. (Which I do all the time and never once have they done it like this) She continued to keep bringing up the conversation to keep proving me wrong multiple times. It was really bad service, put me in a terrible mood and then when I was checking out another worker told me I needed to smile... Do not recommend coming here unless you want to be talked down to the whole time. read more

Legit the worst place ever. My nails chipped after 1 day and on the second day two of my nails fell completely off. This is with gel which is supposed to last for two weeks. Waste of money. Don't go there. If i could give a no star review I would. read more

This was the WORST experience at a salon I have had in my life. My boyfriend took me for a day of relaxing and went with me for his first pedicure. What was supposed to be an amazing time to relaxing turned into a NIGHTMARE. The first thing was they never asked or listened to the type of pedicure we wanted. They just gave a boring "classic" pedicure which was a soak, file, and paint. Then they wrapped these scalding hot towels around your legs that actually burnt my boyfriend. They burnt him and then tried to claim he had an allergic reaction. I guess I did too then because I shower with scalding hot water and I could barely stand them. The photo posted was an hour and a half later and he was still red and hurt! The manacure was bare minimal and left me wondering what in the heck we even paid for. We felt an obligation to pay so $110 later we are leaving with their license number to report them for investigation, two bad yelp reviews, and a warning to others to please be very cautious with this place. read more

I really recommend this place, Tina always does my nails. And I have never had a problem with any of the workers, they're all so nice!

If I could put 0 stars, I would. I have been getting my nails done for years and these people have absolutely no clue what they are doing. They treat you like complete and total trash AND they do a trash job. There is a dog running rampant all over the store and the girl that runs it is more worried about controlling the dog and pleasing her friends. DO NOT COME HERE. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACES IN WACO FOR A BETTER PRICE AND BETTER SERVICE. read more

The owner of the store made the cuticles on two of my fingers bleed. He got mad at me when I accidentally messed up one of my nails because I couldn't understand his directions. Then he left me at the drying station without any instructions. This was my first time here, and it was not a very pleasant experience. My fingers were throbbing in pain after I left. read more

The worst manicure I've ever had! I was visiting Waco from out of town and needed a manicure. I had gel on my nails already. I sat in the chair and the guy started drilling my nails, I've always had gel soaked off. I told him I didn't want him to use the drill. He just said "no, this is the best way" and continued. I asked again to the same reply. He continued and then proceeded to trim my cuticle with dull trimmers. Which left my cuticles looking rough and jagged. About this time, I told him just do regular polish, because I knew this was gonna be awful and didn't want to pay extra for gel. He argued and when I insisted, he would even go find my color I picked in regular polish. He finishes, I go wash my hands, come back and ask him to spray my nails with alcohol. He again refuses saying "oh you only get alcohol with gel, you washed you hands, it's fine". Everything was an argument with this guy! Lastly, one of my nails was raggeded a and rough and I had to ask him to repaint it. Overall, my nails would have looked better had I just done them myself. The only positive was the really cute dog. read more

My mom had her water over flow. The water was cold. She had like 10 minute pedicure. We got there at 6:10 jayden started her pedicure at 6:40 and was done before 7p. He did not want to cut her toes. She left her 3 times because the girl before messed up her nails, but never told her he was getting up to leave. The worse experience we ever had! Very awful! We will never be back! We felt so out of place. read more

They do a great job! I have gone here several times and always have someone different. The only disappointment is that sometimes the person doing my nails is double tasking by taking care of me and taking care of the phone and others walking in. I would end up sitting there waiting for the guy to finish up with my nails and it ended taking way longer than it should have and I didn't feel taken care of. That's been the only negative rxperience. But overall, this is my go to nail salon. read more

I got my nails done here yesterday and not even one day into having them, they are already ruined. First off, I came for a refill of acrylic powder and the people working there decided that they wouldn't let me do a different color of powder. Instead, they added white powder on my nails and had my choose a new color in dip which they then painted on. 5 minutes after getting them done they already chipped because dip is not supposed to go on top of powder. Within the rest of that day, they started to completely peel off. My nail salon in my home town charges $32 for a refill (when it actually looks good!) this place charged me $45 for their version of a "refill" and the nails didn't even last me a full day. I would also like to mention they were not very friendly and wanted to continuously point out the fact that next time I come I should have the powder taken off altogether instead of getting the dip. They apparently don't know what a refill is, but also wanted to make sure I knew that I was "wrong" in their eyes. Will not be coming back to say the least. read more

Upon entering, you think you are walking into a spa like environment. Usually in a spa, it smells delicious and the aroma immediately calms you down... Unfortunately that was not the case. I left feeling like I just smoked two packs of cigarettes. I do not want to seem rude at all, but the person who painted my nails smelled like cigarettes and I think I got second hand smoke. In addition, she left during my manicure to smoke another cigarette. :) My friend came in and asked for ombre French tip and I have never seen a worse ombre... It looked like three stripes of white, cream, and pink. All in all, I will probably never return because I am avidly avoiding cancer. read more

Okay this place actually is the WORST. One of the worst manicures I have gotten. I sat down after waiting 30 minutes and he began to drill my cuticles away for a regular manicure. I have never received this for a normal manicure and almost 4 days later my cuticles look way worse than they did before. He put no base coat, painted my nails quickly, and then put lotion on my arms. He also cut my cuticles and when I began to bleed he dug his fingernail into it. The manicure lasted about 10 minutes total. I would have been better off doing it alone. My nail polish is now completely chipped away. Will it be back and don't suggest you try it. read more

AVOID GOING HERE. The owner is a Baylor student who doesn't know how to run her own shop. Their nail techs are either really inexperienced or rude. I got my nails done in this beautiful iridescent nail polish that I loved but my nail tech made my nails super thin that two nails broke literally an hour later. I went back up there and got the two nails fixed but they did not offer to fix the whole set without a charge. Within that week I had 4 more nails break and one causing actual damage to my finger. I called to complain about my nail that was bleeding down my hand and how I felt there needed to be some remedy to the trouble this inexperienced nail tech caused and they offered to fix my nails but only on that day................... I was missing a whole pinky nail so why would I want a full complete set that day? I told them that my nail was in fact damaged and it wouldn't make any sense to get the full set redone, they said they couldn't offer any other help. Like I said, the girl doesn't know what she's doing. I suggest better customer service and more experienced nail techs. read more

I went to get gel/chilac and the lady didn't ask me much about what I wanted, worked too fast, did a sloppy clean up of my nails, and didn't cut my cuticles well. It started bubbling as soon as I left and chipped within a couple days. I had to get my nails redone a week later somewhere else because I already had entire nails missing color. Also the entire nail color started going grey from white and looked dirty. I didn't have these problems with the other nail place I went to and it lasted 3 weeks. read more
