    Semitas

If you dont mind caos but you care about great tasting bread, come here. Peak hours (between 5-7pm) is always packed. People are always trying to make a "smart move" by either getting a parking fast or skipping the line, which means sometimes you might be the one losing. Besides that, I let go of that bad energy after I get my warm semitas. For context, semitas are like conchas, just smaller and a little crunchy. They usually come out from the over around 4:30pm, but be ready for the mess if you plan on going around that time.

Best Nicaraguan picos hands down. It's a drive for me but so worth it. Their cakes are also delicious!

Sunday, November 16, 2025 10:30am - 12:00pm…read more We visited this restaurant for brunch, but our experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we were disappointed to learn that there were no juices available, including orange juice, which feels like a fundamental oversight for a brunch menu. After being seated, we requested water from the only male waiter on duty. Despite our polite request, it took an unacceptably long time- over 15 minutes-to receive our water. During this wait, the waiter attended to two other tables, taking their orders and delivering their drinks, while we remained parched. When I politely inquired again about our water, his response was dismissive and rude, stating, "it's coming," despite the very visible fact that I am pregnant. His apparent annoyance with our simple request was disheartening. Once we finished our meal, we tried to get our bill. Unfortunately, the same waiter was preoccupied with a couple he knew, engaging in friendly conversation for over 10 minutes while we waited. We asked a female staff member for our check, and while she acknowledged our request, she proceeded to serve three new tables, taking coffee orders and preparing desserts, further delaying our departure. Frustrated, we decided to approach the front to request our check again. The same woman informed us that the male waiter was the only one available, to which I reminded her that we had asked for our check 10 minutes prior. When we finally received our bill, the waiter merely showed us the total without printing it and stated, "gratuity is already included," with no expression of gratitude or apology for the delay. This lack of courtesy was compounded by the fact that the enforced gratuity seemed to give him free rein to be rude. As we left, we noticed another couple nearby who had witnessed our experience decided to leave as well, further highlighting the poor service. Based on our visit, I cannot recommend this restaurant due to the terrible service and the apparent complacency fostered by mandatory gratuity.

Our coffee for the road was very pleasant to sip on as we finished desert and ended the evening. I even had half of mine left I put in the hotel mini fridge to drink as a pick me up before out early morning flight and it was so much better than any other coffee I could have sourced that morning. From baked goods to breads to even some savory treats, you want to check this gem out! The baked goods are a total evolution of the craft. Their filled croissants are legendary, with the Dulce de Leche and Pistachio being absolute fan favorites that live up to the hype.
