"Did you take me to eat at someone's house?" Was essentially the atmosphere of the restaurant. On the outside, it looks like a house, and the inside looks like it was converted into a dining establishment. Tables lined the inside of what was a living room or bed room. Seating is also available outside in the back yard. Parking is next to the house, but there's limited spaces. Staff was friendly and attentive. The menu was concise and a one pager. The food was delicious, but we needed a bigger table. We ended up putting things askew or our water containers on the bench we sat on. The wait wasn't too long depending on what time you come. It doesn't seem like there's a hostess who stands at the door, but you'll eventually catch the attention of someone. The delicious food would be a reason to come again.

Food was great! But small portions for the price. Easy to share small plates but there's also a dinner for two option. Service was good, waitress was nice, although we did receive one plate we did not order. Ambiance overall was good. I would come back :)

Brydge Restaurant elevates the farm to table concept and offers a meticulously curated menu that will leave you beyond pleased. The Red Beets,Pluots, Oranges & Chèvre small plate was a perfect marriage of ingredients, making it my favorite dish. My burger loving son was fully satisfied with his perfectly grilled burger. And because we are suckers for classic simplicity, we also ordered the grilled cheese and it was the perfect balance of a crispy exterior and cheesy molten interior. Ambience was lovely and cozy and the service lived up the quality of the food. Well done Brydge, you have won us over!

The best peas and carrots of my life

Perfect road trip lunch spot! Driving back to LA from Big Sur we were treated to the most amazing lunch at Brydge Restaurant! From the first moment we walked into this stunning 1880's vibey farmhouse, turned eclectic restaurant, we were in love. A carefully curated wine menu featured some regional gems and the effervescent bubbles set the stage for a patio atmosphere teeming with life. We ordered the peas and carrots, beet salad and burger. Each dish was incredibly nuanced and tasteful. Excellent portion sizes and organic produce highlighted the quality and attention to detail of each dish. Would highly recommend each of the options we chose, but the menu is seasonal and ever-changing so your mileage may vary! Throughout the entire experience, from being greeted by sever to the chef stopping by by our table, we felt completely taken care of. The level of attention to details highlights the love present here at Brydge Restaurant. We will be making this a regular stop on our Highway 1 road trips!

While staying at a nearby hotel with family, we found this resteraunt on Yelp and were pleasantly surprised! The place is a lot smaller than we expected but when walking in it was the most adorable quaint place you have ever seen. It was a home built in the 1800's that they turned into a resteraunt and we were all in love with the atmosphere. For food we ordered the reuben special sandwich, prime ribeye, and classic cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was very good and the bun was soft but crispy. The patty was very thick and cooked perfectly. The ribeye was a little on the smaller side but was so tender and juicy with butter and rosemary. And the reuben is a must try in sourdough bread! Overall the experience was a 10/10 and the server was a wonderful lady who answered all our questions and was very kind.

My husband and I came to Cambria to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. We came in for a late lunch/early dinner on a whim, after my husband found this place on yelp. We were kindly greeted and seated promptly. We ordered a few smaller plates- a beet salad and shrimp dish first and then a chicken dinner for two. Everything was delicious, clean and created with care! This was by far the best meal I've had in cambria thus far!

Brydge Restaurant is a local spot in Cambria. It's right off the main road but one of the best spots for a farm to table meal. The plates are definitely shareable and I highly recommend the meatballs and beet salad! They were both packed with flavor and neither felt heavy. The staff were also super helpful with recommendations and the outside seating is an added bonus to a great atmosphere. Next time you are visiting or passing through Cambria, Brydge Restaurant is the spot to go!

The restaurant is a converted old home in Cambria

Brydge is an absolute gem ! It's a quaint and cozy converted home located off of one of the main streets in downtown Cambria. It's intimate & small with devoted service. We enjoyed it so much, We ate there twice and ordered the same thing on each of our visits. They use fresh local produce, and have seasonal menus. We started with the Dolmas , which are a stuffed grape leaf filled with a delightful & fresh filling served over a yogurt tzatziki sauce & topped with zaatar. As a side, we ordered the mushrooms which were an insane blend of king mushrooms, trumpets , Cremini's, oysters, shiitake, etc. all topped with a bit of cheese and toasted breadcrumbs under the broiler. All I can say is OMG. The best! The Supper for two is served family style and is a very affordable option. We opted for the eggplant Parmesan, which was served with a tender nicely, dressed green salad, and their fresh pinsa bread. We asked for one of their flavored butters, which was absolutely divine.. I normally would never order a stuffed eggplant dish unless I was in an Italian restaurant, but this was so wonderful! They have a small but limited wine list which features many wines from the local wine region of Paso Robles. We loved the Grenache with the above pairing. Be sure to make a reservation as they do get quite busy on the weekends and due to the nature of their small size. Enjoy!

I really liked the idea of this place prior to making reservations - interesting menu, cute and cozy on the inside. This place has potential. They could do well to hire additional help. After the recommendations from some people, our 1st impressions were a bit of a let down - they didn't have a handle on their reservation system and made us felt like a burden even after showing an email confirmation from Tock. "We don't see you, but can accommodate you."....I suppose that it was a good thing that we showed up a bit early... ok.. later, they found our reservation and admitted to looking at the wrong date. Anyways, throughout dinner service, there were only two people managing the entire dining room. Food took a while to come out, but at least we had a bottle of wine to keep us company while watching the two people run around like chickens with their head cut off. We tried their eggplant cassoulet which was good. I did eye the ribeye at another table and that thing looked huge. I would have gotten that if we had not just had a monster ribeye at another restaurant the night before. The polenta is a must get - rich and tasty. Portions here were huge. Overall, it was an ok experience.

Brydge Restaurant - Cambria's Hidden Gem Balancing Farm, Flavor, and Flair: Somewhere between the misty pines and the gentle lull of the Cambria coast, there's a little culinary secret tucked inside what looks like an old house stripped down to its bones. No stucco. No pretense. Just exposed wooden panels, thin air, and blankets draped over chairs because--well--there's no insulation and they're thoughtful like that. Welcome to Brydge Restaurant, where warmth is served as generously as the butter. And let's start there: the butter. Not one. Not two. But a flight of butters--each one a small edible poem. Classic creamy. Anchovy-infused (trust me, it works). And a sweet butter that practically winks at you. Spread them on soft, almost naan-like bread--light, tender, with just enough chew--and suddenly you understand what hospitality should taste like. Crystal rock salt sparkles across the top like culinary jewelry, a reminder that details matter here. We kicked off with a salad so fresh I half expected the radishes to blink. But it wasn't just freshness--it was thoughtfulness. The radishes weren't hacked into oblivion but lovingly carved into little curved scoops. Texture, flavor, shape--it all sang in harmony. Every bite felt like the chef actually cared. Because they did. Then came the potatoes: buttery, golden, with a kind of richness that's more comfort than calories. The kind you imagine your imaginary French grandmother might make. And the polenta? Tender, soft but holding its shape, dusted with shaved Parmesan that added just the right salty snap. Now, let's talk about the Philly cheesesteak--but this isn't your typical greasy gut bomb. This is Cambria's coastal chic cousin: thin-sliced Wagyu beef, grilled to juicy perfection, and cradled in bread so beautifully toasted it made the angels weep. No grease. No oil slick. Just clean, rich flavor with onions so caramelized and reduced they practically melted before they hit your tongue. Every detail at Brydge Restaurant seems to be tuned to the same frequency: earthy elegance. The tin plates--yes, tin--felt intentional, sitting lightly on rustic wood tables, creating a kind of farmhouse luxury that's rare these days. Even the glasses--thin, fatigued, slightly whimsical--added to the layered experience. And when the lavender Meyer lemonade hit the table? Pure sunshine. You could taste the hand-squeezed lemons, the delicate lavender--no syrups, no shortcuts. Just honest-to-goodness flavor. The mushrooms were another surprise: hearty, meaty, packed with umami and cooked until just the right moment. It's the kind of thing you don't think to order but are so glad you did. And that's the magic of Brydge--nothing here is just okay. Everything has a little twist, a little "wow," without ever shouting about it. Service? Spot-on. Present when you needed them, invisible when you didn't. No interruptions. No awkward hovering. Just genuine, warm hospitality that reflects the soul of this sweet little Cambrian town. In short: Brydge Restaurant deserves a spot on the Michelin Guide. It's that good. Farm-to-table without the fanfare. Comfort food with culinary brains. And above all, a dining experience that feels like home--if home happened to have a seriously talented chef in the kitchen.

Brydge was a fun addition to our eats while in Cambria. The flavors of all the foods are unique. Loved the burger and lavendar carrots. Quaint patio, a perfect spot for lunch. Highly recommend!

You can feel the genuine care in how they treat both each other and their customers. I ordered the huevos rancheros, which were exactly what you want from a classic diner: simple, consistent, and tasty. Nothing fancy, but really satisfying. The potatoes were cooked well -- not crispy, but lightly done and comforting. The coffee was a standard dark roast served in a thick diner mug, exactly how a good diner coffee should be. There's plenty of parking, plus both indoor and outdoor seating. They have heaters all around, which is perfect since it can get chilly in Cambria. There is ample parking in the lot. They get busy on weekdays around 8:30-9:00, so if you can go for breakfast between 7:00-8:30, they will be less crowded. On our visit for breakfast on a Tuesday/Wednesday around 8:30 service was a little slow to get our order in. The food came out at a moderate, but not fast pace. We got a mimosa, classic eggs Benedict with hash browns and fruit. The eggs Benedict was a bit runny, the muffin was not too tough and not too soaked, the amount of ham was a bit light on one of the two, and the sauce had a good flavor. The mimosa was about standard. The menu has a good selection with a number of other items to choose from. We would come back here, but it is just ok and not stellar. For example, Broken Yolk consistently makes a better eggs Benedict than RC does. Overall, we would recommend giving them a try if in town. You will get a good, but not a stellar meal here.

I've done some comparison shopping in recent weeks, and the cafe wins every time. One place in town prepares "country potatoes" as large cubes of potato with no seasoning. Cambria Cafe cooks prepare them as small cubes, seasoned and fried exactly as I like (I can't define the spice combination, but I like it). My scrambled eggs are never dry or runny, and hash browns invariably have just the right crisp texture. They also serve really good coffee, something which most restaurants can't seem to manage. This morning I tried their chicken-fried steak for the first time, and it was as good as my wife's, which is saying something. The ambiance is what I'd expect from a small local cafe, comfortable, but not extraordinary. I'll continue to patronize "my" cafe as long as they'll have me.
