When researching a company to refurbish my more than 50-year-old oak floors, besides a stellar recommendation from a friend, I chose Bryant's Floors because of his MOTTO: " I take pride in my work." It struck me as old-school and reminded me of something my grandfather used to always tell me: "Once a job has begun, be it big or small, do it right or not at all." Mr. Bryant takes his motto seriously. He did a fabulous job on our old oak floors, which had been shown absolutely no love for a long time. They were stained, paint-splattered and "dead" looking; he brought them to life. And, he's a really Kool guy, friendly, considerate, and communicative; knows his craft. He did a meticulous and professional job and at a fair/reasonable price. His knowledge and expertise really show in the finished product. And he and his team completed the project in a timely manner. Now, I can't help but marvel whenever I look at the floors because I remember the horrible shape they were in. I bought a ~725 sqft condo and had a two week window between taking possession and moving in. Bryant was extremely flexible, responsive and professional from the time I first emailed him all the way through to job completion and payment. His estimates were right on the nose, and he gave great advice on stain and finish options. They started work on Tuesday and were done by Saturday, knowing that I had a painter coming in the following Monday. On our final walkthrough he spotted an imperfection which has since been fixed without any added cost or hassle on my part. My floors look amazing thanks to Bryant and his team. My floors were so bad for the 10 years i lived in my home, I really thought I needed all new boards. I honestly didn't think they would turn out as beautiful as they did. My husband doubted they would be done in the 3 day time frame we were given but Bryant proved us wrong! My floors look brand new and they are 60 years old. On the morning they began working I was still uncertain of the stain I wanted. Bryant sanded a large area and showed me different stains and was very patient with me! After the floors were done we inspected them with a fine tooth comb. We found a couple of minor problems and called Bryant and he was very concerned and came right over and looked them. He came back that Saturday and corrected the issues. Now they are perfect! His work was OK but I have been trying to get him back for over 6 months to correct problems to no avail. he tells me he is busy and will get to me later. I almost didn't make the final payment until it was corrected. Wish I hadn't He was supposed to do an even bigger job for me which of course, I won;t have him do now. Next stop will be my lawyer. We've used Bryant lots of times. He put in the hardware floors for our upstairs, refinished the downstairs floors, retiled a bathroom, and in addition to that we went through him to build a new deck out back and redo 3 of our closets. He is great! If there is ever a problem he comes back to fix it right away. He's our go to contractor. We learned of him from our real estate agent when we bought our house - she's been very pleased with his work as well. I'd highly recommend. read more

We are not pleased with Bryant's work. When they finished, the poly coat was uneven in many spots and cracks were haphazardly filled. They came out a couple times to try and fix it, but we ended up with over-glossed, poorly refinished floors. Save yourself time and money and hire a different company. read more

As a person who bases opinions on personal interactions rather than online reviews, I was inclined to give Bryant's Floors the benefit of the doubt in spite of some of the less than favorable reviews posted here. Alas, my experience of attempting to engage this business has taught me to pay more attention to the experiences of others in order to save myself frustration! Although Bryant did respond to my request for a cost estimate in the same day, this turned out to be the only positive aspect of my brief interaction with him. He failed to follow-up with me when I suggested an appointment time to get a more detailed cost estimate until I e-mailed him the night before the proposed appointment to confirm whether or not he was going to be available, and this was after he informed me in a rather curt fashion that I should be prepared to sign a contract and remit 1/3 of the total project cost at the conclusion of the initial estimate appointment. This should have been a clue that he was likely not planning to show up, as he did not have my home address or telephone number until I sought confirmation of the appointment from him. However, I was still prepared to hope for the best and move forward with hiring his business to complete the project. Unfortunately, on the date of the scheduled appointment my husband and I received a call from Bryant in which he stated that his truck was not working and he would need to see about repairing it before our appointment. He said that he would call us back if he was not going to be able to make the appointment. Guess what? No call, no show. To add insult to injury, he never bothered to follow-up with either me or my husband. I can't imagine that his business is so well off that he can afford to totally blow off potential customers, but I could be wrong... The moral of this short story: buyer beware! read more
