Couldn't ask for a better doctor! She's done two surgeries for me and I've seen her numerous times for various ongoing issues and she listens and pays attention. Appointments are useless here at Dr Darcy Bryan's office. Be prepared to wait at least 1.15 hrs after your appointment time. If you are for some reason 5 minutes late to your so called appointment time, you are asked to reschedule, but if you arrive 15 mins early, they make you wait for more than a hour. Since she is a Dr and you are not, you are not at the same level. Staff nurses who are helping there are rude. No smile. If you don't like what you are doing or your pay is less or whatever the reason is, keep it to yourself, or go bang on governments door. Don't take it out on the patients. We don't have an option closer to our house or I would never go back to this office. Ridiculous. read more

Dr. Bryan is a wonderful doctor, but her back office is terrible at returning calls. Called them numerous times on the status of a referral. Her nurse contacted once to tell me it was pending. Called several weeks later to check only to be directed to voicemail. Waited 4 months then I gave up and went somewhere else. My advice: Pick a different office for your needs. read more

This one star is for the office/whoever is in charge of scheduling appointments. I tried rescheduling an appointment as a new patient 4 days ahead of my scheduled appointment due to being sick. I called the office numerous times and no answer. Only prompted to leave a voice message for "Ariel." I left a voice message. After 2 business days, I still have not received any response. I also responded to their courtesy text message reminder, and asked to reschedule my appointment. Instead, they only canceled my appointment with the further prompt to text the office or call the office. Obviously I cannot contact anyone when I call or text. May I add that the only reason I even had the previously scheduled appointment was because I had to walk in to the office in person to inquire and schedule. I am an office manager myself at a medical office. No matter how busy things get in the office, you don't ignore patients and leave them hanging for days/never contact them back. Especially if it's regarding scheduling appointments because that's bringing in business. The whole purpose of an answering machine and voicemail inbox is for you to get back to them later if you're busy at the moment- not get back to them never! Even if I can get an appointment rescheduled now, I am so put off by the way the office is ran. Especially since I would've been their new patient... it really makes me wonder how much they value their patients. They must not need or care for patients to be able to turn down and ignore a potential new patient's request for scheduling. read more

I went to Dr, Bryan because of the reviews. As she was asking me general questions she asked if I was on birth control, I replied no. Then as she marked single she asked me if I was single, I replied that I was married. She asked me if I would be devastated if I got pregnant? Dr - you don't even know my journey - why not ask "How would you feel if you got pregnant?" After a year of trying to pregnant, a year of tests to tell me I am normal , 3 years and $40k of IVF to finally get pregnant and have kids, the answer is nope, I wouldn't be devasted, I'd be shocked, and excited; and shocked. Re-word your judgemental questions. I completely shut down after that and was afraid to ask anything. I will look for another OBGYN. read more

I hardly write reviews, however I have to post something regarding the great Customer Service that I receive every time I call the office and or speak with Mildred Dr Bryan's Nurse. I have only been seen by Dr. Bryan so far just once and our meet and greet was fantastic! Dr Bryan is very attentive to your questions and she took her time with me on my first appointment. Dr Bryan made me feel very comfortable with her and after reading all the reviews that were posted about her prior to my appointment confirmed that there is a caring Doctor out there. Her staff is also amazing, her Nurse Mildred is very caring and sincere and you can tell just speaking with her over the phone that she cares about the patients. Dr. Bryan was a very caring, sensitive ob/gyn during my first pregnancy. I moved to the state relatively late in my pregnancy and she was very gracious about accepting me as a patient, updating herself on my records and making me comfortable. I plan on working with her again if I have another baby. I'm not sure if her front staff has changed since my daughter was born in 2011, but the receptionist then was also very good. read more

My wife and I had this doctor for a very short time during out first pregnancy. She wasn't willing to provide a personalized medical plan to help with my wife's difficult symptoms. She just told us to tough it out and wouldn't give us any help. One day we called Dr Bryan because the symptoms were pretty bad. Dr Bryan was very annoyed with us and told us there was nothing she could do and to just go and check into the hospital. She also ask us to please tell her if our babie died. Yes seriously. I spoke up for my wife because this was not the treatment we were expecting. Dr. Bryan hushed me and told me that she would only speak with my wife. When we got off the phone we decided to find another doctor. Best thing we could have done. I got married in May of this year and I have had many complications during this time. So I went to see Dr. Bryan seeking medical help for things like excruciating pain and multiple infections. She was extremely arrogant and rude and talked down to me like I was some child. Her tone was very demeaning and snotty. She didn't want to hear me tell her about what I was experiencing and would cut me off while I was talking. To top it off she handed me a picture of a book "What your mother never told you about sex." I am always happy to go to every single one of my appointments with this office. I am always well greeted by the staff and they always make me feel special. I enjoy speaking with Dr. Bryan and she is very educated and a great person and she seems to care about what I have to say. She has already delivered one of my babies and did a D&C on the baby I lost. I am almost done with this pregnancy and she will be also be delivering as well. I feel content that she is my OB! She is absolutely Horrible she is so busy!! I don't even think they check the pee test because I ended up having sepsis!! I was in her office 2 days before I went to the emergency room, I ended up being on life support and her office nor did the doctor ever call me while during that period to check on me. She is outdated just looking at the clothes she wears not to mention the way she does things. I would never recommend to go to her, I think people put out there that she's a good doctor but she isn't!!! she almost killed me and my baby because of her ignorance and her lack of caring I think they just throw your pee in the sink and push you on your way. Just remember when you call to find out if they accept your insurance to not take just a simple yes or no answer. They told me they accepted my insurance but didn't mention they were out of my network but because I have a ppo they would still see me just charge me double. I just had to switch doctors in my third trimester because "it's not their responsibility to tell me if they are in or out of my network. You should do the research on your own." The billing dept even told me they are going through this with another lady, then hello be up front and honest!!! This is a review I should have written sooner! My boy/girl twins will be a year next month and as we get closer to September 8th I'm getting more emotional. My pregnancy was so difficult I felt sick 24/7 but Dr. Bryan and her staff were there for me from the start. I love her staff, I love Dr. Bryan and I love her office. I don't have any complaints and no office is ever perfect but I must say they were the closest I've ever gotten to PERFECT. I had read iffy reviews about Dr. Bryan, but she was local and I only need to see her once a year, so I figured I'd give her a try. I actually thought she was very sweet and thorough, and had no problem with her at all! In fact, I called a few days before my first appointment with a quick question, and she returned my call that evening and then followed up about it first thing when I saw her. She may not be what you'd call a bubbly personality (she seems a little reserved and speaks in a low, calm tone), but she smiled and was easy to talk to. I would be happy to see her again. read more

Dr. Bryan was a wonderful OB through my first pregnancy which turned out to be a miscarriage and my second full term healthy pregnancy. She performed my C-Section and there is literally no visible scar! This woman was my OB during my pregnancy last year. I was reminded of my terrible experience yesterday when I met another mom that had a bad experience as well. Her daughter is two, mine is one, for reference. I see favorable recent reviews. Perhaps she has learned manners recently. She was the most sarcastic(condescending, not funny sarcastic), rude doctor I've encountered. Curiously, she seemed to amp up her insults when I brought my husband to appointments. Maybe she was fed up with ignorant patients and stupid questions or something like that. I have never written a yelp review but I felt in this case I read the yelp reviews before seeing Dr. Bryan and was upset that I didn't actually listen to the yelpers before me. Although I am fairly good at researching and asking advice from experienced people before approaching appointments I hold doctors' opinions in very high regard and do not claim to know more or not take their professional opinions over my own. I had gone into Dr. Bryan's office for ovarian pains and more specifically made sure she knew it was my right ovary that I was experiencing pain with, instead of her response to be "Let's run some tests to see", she did an examine and stated it was just normal pains probably to do with getting older and ovulation then proceeded to push for me to go on birth control, however I am not sexually active so I did not want to mess with my hormones. When I mentioned that if nothing REALLY could not be done that I would rather deal with it and take an anti-inflammatory or such. She then said okay and made sure to tell me that she would put in my notes that she did give me the option of birth control and I denied, which seemed condescending and unnecessary. After voicing that it seemed more that just ovulation pains and did not seem normal for my body, for I don't even get pains during my period she finally said that she would order for me to get an ultrasound but doubted that anything would be found. After she asked if I would like any information on how to live a longer life, such as eating healthy and exercising, now I get that I am not a size 2 and according to doctors Im overweight (yes i could lose a few pounds) but my build has never been a tiny build and I have been an athlete most of my life, after saying that I eat pretty well and exercise even if it doesn't completely show, she then stated in the same tone and just like before that she would put in her notes that she talked to me about it and I denied it. Once I got my ultrasound my technician said my doctor would receive my results within 2-3 days and that if I do not hear from them within a week to call. After 2 weeks I finally called and the receptionist helping me said the doctor hadn't reviewed my results yet and that I would get a letter if no abnormalities were found or a phone call to discuss my results. After a month I still had not received a phone call or a letter so I called again and was told that they sent me a letter the day before. (It took a month for them to contact me). Once I received my results it was obviously the technicians notes along with a blank paper that just said the doctor's name on it. In my results it stated they could not see my right ovary and a different ultrasound would be needed. I was pretty upset that the doctor herself did not review my notes along with my test results and call me to let me know that the side I was complaining of pain on could not be viewed and she would like me to get another ultra sound done. I know this is a long review by I am just very frustrated that I felt like just another random patient who she didn't spend time to really listen and comfort when I was experiencing a problem that was worrying me. It seemed like she was just doing things because I was asking for them not because she wanted me to feel like she was doing the best should could to help me. I understand doctors have a lot of patients to oversee, but I pay good money to be on a PPO and I don't even think she crossed referenced my notes or file with why I got an ultrasound done with my actual ultrasound test results. I just hope this review helps 1 person to look for a doctor who would contact you when they realize you need further testing or scans and treats you more than a quota. read more

Dr. Bryan does not listen and treats your case as every other case. I was very unhappy that for over a year and a half of being her patient she still did not care to adjust my course of treatment to address my specific needs. Rather, she went and had me secure blood testing based on the "average" person. Unfortunately, I was immediately put on hold, without the receptionist even asking why I was calling. From the tone of her voice, she seemed to be having a bad day. I truly hope this 1-star review impresses readers to avoid Dr Bryan and Riverside Medical, in general. I see Dr Bryan once a year ONLY for well-woman exam, and I have seen her 3 times in 3 years. I am post-menopausal and had a hysterectomy 30 years ago, so no pap is needed, she says. I literally get a breast exam and have a chat about hormone replacement and leave with an order for my annual mammogram. Dr Bryan is not very personable, but she seems competent. I would probably not bother to review at all over my interaction with Dr Bryan, but the nightmare experience with billing has motivated me to help others avoid it. Before you let any doctor off the hook for billing, keep in mind they are 100% responsible for the billing practices for their office. I scheduled my last annual well-check with Dr. Bryan's office, as usual. THEY called and said it had to be rescheduled, which I had no issue with, except the new, earliest appointment date put me 3 weeks out of my hormone replacement. Since it was the office requesting to reschedule and not me, I asked they call in a temporary prescription to tide me over until I came in. They agreed. I had my well-check, and it was as I described above. In and out with no issues, no pap smear, nada. Dr Bryan wrote the full and exact same prescription to keep me until another year exam. After the EOB came in charging me a co-pay for an office visit instead of 100% coverage for well-exam, I called and was told by their billing that it would be re-billed. Except it wasn't rebilled. It was sent to collection, and my insurance company said it had never been re-billed. When I called billing again, their story changed. They said I was responsible for an office visit co-pay because I had called for a new prescription. That doesn't make sense as a reason, and if this was their position, why didn't they tell me this BEFORE it went to collection? They told me it would be re-billed months before. Once on the phone with billing, I reiterated the whole story and my experience with the doctor. I was told, "Unfortunately, the charge stands, and you are in collection because you owe the co-pay for a regular office visit." I'm still disputing it, and if you have ever been the victim of someone else's ineptitude and had to work this hard for a correction, you understand why I am so frustrated. What SHOULD have been a simple fix is now nightmare, and it has cost me so much energy, I can't even measure it. Avoid such awful treatment and go elsewhere read more

After researching yelp I'm extremely pleased that we chose Dr. Darcy Bryan as my provider; she is wonderful! We did a military move to California late in my 3rd trimester. I was warned that it would be hard for me to find an obgyn but Dr. Bryan got me in right away. She has remained extremely kind and non judgmental during my care. Dr. Bryan is always open to questions from both my husband and/or myself. I had a C Section and she made me feel at ease by explaining the procedure and even providing support with an embrace during my spinal. After my delivery she has contribute to provide personal care and concern for my well being. I couldn't have asked for a better experience after a cross country move nearing the end of my pregnancy. We were definitely blessed to cross paths with Dr. Bryan. read more
