    They don't follow through, they make the patient do all of the calling, and paperwork to get anything done.

While waiting, I spoke with another patient who informed me that her appointment was at 10:45 a.m. and that she had already been waiting for over an hour. I also spoke with a gentleman inside the office who stated he had been waiting for more than an hour despite not having an appointment at all. Given this, I asked the front desk representative, Brianna, what the purpose of scheduling appointments was if appointment times were not being honored. She responded that she could not control what happens in the back office and that this was simply the "nature of the business." This was extremely disappointing. If appointments are not respected and patients are instead seen in the order they arrive, then appointments are essentially meaningless. The waiting room was overcrowded, and patients were packed in tightly. Despite the disorganization, I paid the required $25 co-pay. By 11:45 a.m., it was clear that we would likely be waiting at least another hour or more. At that point, I returned to the front desk and requested a refund so we could seek care elsewhere. I was told that a refund could not be issued and that I would have to wait up to seven days for an email to determine whether I would even receive my money back. This entire experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Patients should not be asked to make appointments if those appointments are not honored, nor should they be denied an immediate refund when services are clearly not being provided in a reasonable timeframe. I hope this issue is taken seriously and addressed to prevent other patients from having a similar experience.

The conversation became very confusing, and instead of handling it professionally, she repeatedly said "oh my gosh," laughed during the call, and spoke to me in a rude tone. When she mentioned that my information was not on file, I explained that I was calling because I was a new patient. She responded by saying, "Well, you should've said that before." At that point, I expressed that I felt she was being rude and unprofessional and simply asked for the referral doctor's phone number instead. She then hung up on me. It's unfortunate that someone seeking medical help would be treated this way. Patients should be treated with patience, professionalism, and respect, especially during their first interaction with a medical office. Hanging up on a patient and making them feel mocked or dismissed is unacceptable.
