I'm a former patient of Dr. D'Sylva, and like many other male patients of hers I was circumcised. This is a cruel, barbaric and unspeakably horrible practice but what made it so egregious is that from the moment I could speak, I communicated my intense never-ending pain. Rather than addressing my concerns or treating me with dignity, she opted to put them to the side, deflect or just ship me off to a Urologist for other problems I had. It does not require Sherlock Holmes to investigate the root cause of my torment - she botched my circumcision and chose to not accept responsibility. Dr D'Sylva is not there new dr doesn't even check my son and sent him to ER. Dr. Mohamed doesn't even recognize the viral rash on his butts and sent him to ER even when I told him my son has hand foot and mouth disease. He barely took a look at his rash too. I can't believe it ! I had to wait in the ER for a PA to tell me it's just a viral rash and not to worry. I won't come back to this office again because of this. read more

This place is such a scam! It has drastically gone down hill. I've been getting billed for things I didn't receive. Went in for my daughter's physical and when we were there the dr asked her how's she's doing? My daughter said good just minor back pain and for that one comment got billed $27 even though she was not treated for back pain. It's ridiculous how money hungry this place has gotten. I go to Dr. Jackson for my son who was born this year and love every visit with her. I kept her in mind for my son's health care because my younger brother has had her as a doctor for many years. She is very kind, attentive and professional. I also appreciate that she takes the time to understand the issue instead of just prescribing a medicine to leave quickly for the next patient. We wanted to find a doctor that is local to us. So, after days of searching, we found this office. My husband had to drive around 20 mins., and never found parking. I didn't want to keep waiting and cancelled my daughter's apt. Let me preface this by saying, my daughter already had her first check up with one of the doctors she saw at the hospital. This visit in question, was to establish a relationship with this doctor, D'Sylva. The receptionist wouldn't let me leave, until speaking with the doctor. I decided to take my newborn here for his check up after giving birth. Prior to my appointment I advised the clinic my child was not on my insurance, but he was on my husband's insurance. When I arrived I advised them once again that the baby was not on my insurance that his was on his dad's. They said they did not need to see the insurance card and they took us into an examination room. The nurse came in did vitals and asked me to remove my baby's clothing so the doctor could examine him and that the doctor would be in shortly. 20 mins later my baby eas crying the doctor still had not entered the room so I went to ask if the doctor would be coming in soon. They answered that they were trying to figure out the insurance because it seemed like my insurance wasn't going to cover the baby's exam. I asked them which insurance they were using they advised me it was mine and I told them that I had already told them the baby was on my husband's insurance not mine. They then said they needed his insurance card. I gave them the card and they said I would have to wait until they varicose the insurance before the doctor could see the baby. I asked if I could dress my baby while they checked because he was cold. They said no because having the clothes off makes it easier for the doctor to examine them. 40 mins later the doctor came in examined my baby for less than 2mins and walked out. I will never bring my baby to this office ever again. They are incompetent. read more

I am currently sitting in the waiting room. My gf and daughter were called back at 9:30am for my daughters appointment. It's been a hour and she hasn't been seen since being taken back. The ladies at the front desk are just talking up a storm like no work needs to be done. The nurses keep calling the same name of a patient who was already taken in the back. They called her 3 times after taking her back. So unorganized or just completely oblivious on how to do their job. Either way, this place is a one star. We are leaving. It was for a wellness exam so I wasn't in dire need of treatment for my daughter. 2nd appointment over a year later we are running into the same problem. Dr DSlyva is very experienced and my 4 years like her. The wait can be long sometime since they are very busy. One time I waited 30 mins with appointment. But turned out she is very professional and give me not just the best options medically but also financially. She told me not to fill all the prescriptions right away but in steps since some medicines are only needed when situations got worse and I have high deductible insurance too. I could see that she seriously care about her patients. Its true that the parking spots are limited but I go there for the care. Parking spaces are just some inconvenience. read more

I take all my three kids here and I've usually have had same day appointments whenever I've called before noon which is a big plus if your child woke up ill. I like all the doctors. Don't like that they don't have their own restroom inside their office. It's near by use with their key but when you have little kids, it's just a hassle taking all across but that's just building set up. read more

We have always taken our 4 kids to Aspen medical group since birth & had no problems. When my newborn needed an appt & aspen couldn't see him in time I ended up going to doctor D'Sylva who could see him right away. We waited no more than 20 mins, and even though my son wasn't gaining weight & she didn't shame me or make the situation worst. Her staff was a little pushy but she got them to back off. Sure the wait times get a little frustrating but when have you really ever gone to a doctor and not gotten frustrated at how long you wait? They have plenty of patients to deal with. Dr dsylva is always extremely patient with my son, & she will always make you comfortable! I wasn't comfortable giving my son all the shots that were recommended in one sitting, so she helped me figure out a plan to space them all out and didn't try guilting me into getting all that were needed that day. read more

I have been to this clinic several times with my foster children. The staff is professional and the doctors care about the children's health and well-being. They go above and beyond. Many times I have been accommodated at the last minute so my children can be seen for some ailment. I have been very impressed with them. Funny, I didn't even realize our pediatrician was on Yelp. I've been bringing my daughters here for over 10 years and have had very good experiences. I didn't give 5 stars because I can't declare this is "as good as a doctor's office gets" but it's a very good office none the less. Dr. D'Sylva and Dr. Jackson care for my girls like sweet mothers would and I will always appreciate that. The staff is friendly and attentive and it's easy to get an appointment on the same or next day. My only gripes are that 1) they don't have their own restroom so when you need to get a sample, you have to request a restroom key (which isn't always available) and go across the hallway. 2) Sometimes it seems like they book more people in a time slot than they should and it can get crowded with a long wait time. The longest I've waited in the lobby is over an hour but I've also been seen almost immediately so it's the luck of the draw. Most of the time, it's about a 20-30 minute wait. You can choose if you want to be seen by the next available doctor or PA or you can be selective and tell them which doctor you prefer to wait for. I learned the hard way not to take the next random available person and always choose D'Sylva or Jackson. Overall, it's not the fanciest place but they've treated my daughters very well and I don't plan on changing doctors until they outgrow pediatrics. read more

This place is so awful. Every time it takes at least 2 hours. I brought a thermometer and was checking his temp often because we were battling a fever all night. So I'm the waiting room I took his temp and it was 102.0 so I told the lady "just so you know he has a temp of 102 to which she replied "oh we'll check it" she checks it 20 seconds later and her reading said 101.4 and blew off my reading and we proceeded to wait an offensive amount of time. I really hate this place.. I suggest bringing snacks for your little ones because you wIll be camped here for a large part of your day. How is this legal? Looking for a new doctor stat. read more

These are the most amazing pediatric doctors that I have come across in Riverside County. Yes, the wait times can be long, but that is because there is a sick side and a well side to the office. Unlike many offices, they don't send you to the urgent care because they can't fit your child in their schedule. It is nice to know that when your child is sick they will be taking care of by THEIR doctor. They except children on a walk in basis who are ill. All doctors and PAs in this office treat your child with what can only be explained as motherly attention. You can see a genuine care for your child with each of these doctors. They are all very thorough in their examinations, not just trying to move onto the next patient. You can call Dr. D'Sylva any hour of the night and she will return your call within 30 minutes. Who does that anymore? I have never experienced another doctor so completely dedicated and thorough. I am a mother of four sons with my oldest almost being ready to leave her office. I feel sad for him because I have yet to find an adult doctor who provides care like she does. I have been taking my children to this office for approximately 13 years. I know they are in good hands. If sitting in a waiting room a little extra time if necessary means that my children are properly cared for, then I think it's worth the wait. read more

I have a 17yr old, an 11yr old & a 9yr old. I have been nothing but pleased with her availability. I recall 17yrs ago, weeks after I gave birth to my oldest son he was screaming at the top of his lungs. As a first time mother, I freaked out and called the Dr. office expecting that she would have an answering service answer since it was 3am. She answered: "Doctor" I felt bad but she walked me through what to do and what was going on with my new born. Her calm motherly voice put me at ease. From that moment on she has earned my trust. She never prescribes if its unnecessary. She does what she does because SHE CARES and LOVES what she does. Together we make decisions about my children's health together. read more

I know horror story after horror story. Its really unfortunate because adults that had her when they were young, are now bringing their babies to her but sadly, nothing is the same 15 years later! Someone that really cares and not just doing their job because they are getting pay. This women really cares about their patients. I seriously love Dr.D Sylva , &Dr. Jackson !! Not only do they answer all of my questions, they sing to my son, make him laugh, and take personal interest in my son each and every visit .. They always call me later in the evening to check on him when he is ill... what Dr does that? If your looking for a loving , caring Dr for your infant I highly suggest this office!!! The PA's are great as well! I always feel welcomed by Liz , Karina, &Kelly they are the sweetest MA's there!!! We only visited. Dr. D'Sylva twice with the intention of not coming back anyways after our baby' booster flu shot. I just didn't like the overall experience the first time but I wanted to get the shots done. Our second visit was only for a vaccine booster and nothing more. The first visit she mentioned fixing his circumcision, we said we'd like to get a second opinion and think about it, and she said ok and left it alone. We'd been seeing our regular pediatrician in Berkeley CA for 7 months until we moved, so this was news to us and needed time to absorb and make a decision. Little did we know during our second visit, she was taking a look at him and took it upon herself to do it anyway with out at the very least letting me know before hand, only to find out something was done when my son suddenly started screaming. I was livid and didn't want to over react, but asked why couldn't she at least tell us what she was about to do. She apologized but tried to brush it off as well, this is what he needed and it comes natural to me to just do it. I'd never tell a doctor how to do their job and didn't question her abilities, but simple etiquette goes a very long way. It was out of line of her to do ANYTHING to him with out notice to us first. Safe to say we're absolutely never stepping foot in that location again. read more
