I have 5 kids (ages 14-1) and have been taking them to Dr. Tarin's office for the past 7 years. I have nothing but good experiences. One of my children has severe Cerebral Palsy and is seen more often, needs referrals and prescriptions. The other 4 are typically developing and healthy, only going in for yearly check ups and if they're sick. Dr. Tarin and Dr. Phan take time to connect with myself and my kids, listen to my concerns and take them seriously. They are quick to put in all prescriptions and stay on top of referrals and the "extra" things that my daughter needs. I'm very impressed with their bedside manner and knowledge. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. At first we loved this place. Brought her in when she was a week old. Healthy baby. Brought her in for her 2 months healthy baby. 4 month visit the doctor asked me about vaccines and I am indeed anti vac. And as soon as I told her that all of a sudden my healthy baby has a heart murmur. I'm sorry but you are a doctor and just because we have different opinions doesn't mean you should tell me something that is not true and instill fear into me and her father. Of course we got a second opinion from someone who is WELL trusted and actually believes what we believe in and told me that yes this "Doctor" told us this out of anger. How dare you! How dare you tell a family that just had a baby that our sweet healthy vulnerable daughter is sick. Sorry you didn't meet your quota for the day on your vaccinations. Good riddance. read more

She was my daughter's pediatrician and my sons. She caught an illness in my son 2 other doctors missed. She is amazing and the kids love her. She is the only pediatrician I recomend. read more

I give this place 5 stars because they are always. Ice and helpful. Dr Tarin has been around since I was a child and she dosent look a day older than when I was coming in many moons ago... I like they keep up w the times. Yes the building is a little old. It's old town Corona. What do u expect. :)... Fast friendly service and they have tv and kids table so the little ones can play with. BTW... If your child is sick they have another entrance where the sick kids go. And I LOVE that!!! I have had to use that room before and I like that I don't have to contaminate the clean healthy room with the sick kids. I bringing in a non-sick child appreciates that. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews and I wish I could find the correct doctor to leave this review, however this is the only name that pops up for this address. I want to warn other parents that bring their children here that none of the doctors that worked with Dr Tarin work here anymore. I love Dr Tarin. She was my own doctor as an infant until adulthood. She was there for my first son to be born, and I had planned on her being there for my second baby as well. Unfortunately she had retired, which I was sad to hear but decided to ask Dr Phan who worked alongside her. While in the hospital we were informed by Dr Phan that he was no longer working at this office we were not told that by the office when I called to confirm his availability. I didn't want to be rude and ask questions, but we decided we love Dr Phan enough to follow him wherever. We are still waiting for our insurance to be accepted at his office and in the meantime decided to take my oldest son for a physical and vaccines here so we can enroll him in school. I thought the other two women who had previously work with Dr Tarin and Dr Phan would still be there, but when we arrived I did not see them. We waited quite a while to be seen. My son was very nervous going into this appointment because he knew he would be getting shots and he was getting very anxious waiting. He was hiding, facing me when the doctor finally came in and said "Hi" so I said hi back. We did not know her and she didn't introduce herself, I still don't know her name, she just briefly looked over the paperwork I had filled out for the physical. We discussed it a bit. Then she came up to him to check his eyes, ears, etc. He was freaking out the whole time not wanting to be touched. I was trying to calm him down as best as I could. Then she tells me she needs to check his privates. I started to explain to my son what was going to happen but she cut me off and said "I have to" so Im quickly trying to tell my son he is safe, she's a doctor, and Im right here holding you. As I'm saying this she practically ripped his pants down. He screamed no in her face and she proceeded to touch him anyways. I was in shock. That went against everything I've taught my son about his privacy and safety there. She finished as quick as she started but he was crying. She was talking to me but I hardly remember what she said other than he needs to be put in speech therapy because he doesn't talk in full sentences and the only things she heard him say was no. That's not true, he was scared and unfamiliar with her. I didn't want to argue with her because my son was still freaking out and I cared more about him in that moment but I immediately knew it was wrong and that we wouldn't be coming back. I understand that doctors have to do their job but there was no effort to make him comfortable with anything happening. It's been a week and he's had nightmares almost every night waking up screaming saying "no" and "what are you doing" or "don't do that" and he's peeing multiple times at night and sometimes in the day. All of which is unusual for him. read more

I've been going to this office for almost three years, since I moved to Corona. My son has seen both Dr. Tarin and her colleague and I really like both of them, they are both very caring and thorough. All of the nurses have been great, too. However, not sure who is responsible but someone has dropped the ball. I recently went to enroll my son in TK, provided (what I thought were) up to date vaccination records only to find he is behind on FOUR vaccines. I gave Dr. Train's office his vaccine records when we were new patients and asked periodically if he ever needed more vaccines--I was always told no, he was up to date. I assumed they would let me know when he was due, but they never did. Also they were horrible about scheduling his well child visits; his last office always scheduled these proactively but Dr. Tarin's office only seemed to schedule them if they happened to notice they were missed while we were there for another reason. I have just scheduled a new appointment with another practice to get his vaccines, I don't want to wait to see what else slips through the cracks with this office. read more

I love this doctor. Dr. Tarin is caring and patient. If I call and say my son is sick, they take him within the hour without a question. I can call on the weekend and I get a return call to discuss my son's sickness. My son loves going to the doctor here, he is 3. Finally, the doctor actually called on her own to ask how my son was doing after he had come in a second time because he developed a rash. Now that is above and beyond and a doctor who cares. read more

Hands down best office ever! I have transferred my kids from another Peds office and was hesitant, but now i feel so bad I had not done this years ago!! The doctors and PA-C are amazing. The providers take their time, their wait is minimal. My daughter was sick and I was able to get her in the same day. The follow up calls on labs and meds are amazing. I love their follow up system. I was going to give Dr. Tarin 4 stars until today's visit. First off yesterday's visit went very well. She diagnosed both of my daughters correctly and quickly whereas other doctors have taken months for a diagnosis. Today's visit was a follow up. What I am upset about is that I had to pay another copay for a follow up visit the day after. Is this normal? Also I was told they would be giving me a breathing machine for my daughter due to her bronchitis, but when I came in today they told me I had to pay for it. This information is misleading. If I would have known I had to pay for the machine and that there was a copay for a follow up visit. I would have skipped the follow up visit and used that copay money to go towards the machine. Other than that, she is a very nice doctor and real kind with the kids. read more

Dr. Tarin has been our family pediatrician for six years. I first brought my oldest son to her when he was four months old. She is a very kind doctor who obviously loves her patients. Dr. Tarin always takes the time to listen to any concern or worry, and as a new mom, I had many. She has never made me feel rushed and frequently has spent extra time giving me additional information to make me feel better. She has treated my children for pneumonia, bronchitis, asthma, ear infections, and other childhood illnesses. I have always felt confident that my children are in very capable hands. Additionally, her office staff is wonderful. They are always friendly and helpful. Over the past six years, when I have called for an appointment, my children were seen that day. I have never been asked to make an appointment for the following day. I find that very reassuring. Whenever I hear someone is looking for an excellent pediatrician, I recommend Dr. Tarin. Do not take your children to this doctor. She misdiagnosed my son twice. Last year my son was sick. He has a history of ear and sinus infections due to his allergies. We had just moved to the area and had chosen this doctor as the PCP. I was appalled to learn that after the visit, the husband was told htat my son did not have an infection- he just had a common cold. She dd not prescribe anything. A few days after, we had our allergy specialist take a look. My son had an ear infection and was put on antibiotics for 21 days. Common cold, huh? Just yesterday he was misdiagnosed once again. My son developed a rash on his face. I took my son in last week for a physical but asked Dr. Tarin's counterpart to look at my son's face. The rash was just developing at that time. She said use cortisone. Wrong. Because after 1 week the rash was worse. I took my son back and Dr. Tarin and Dr. Espinosa said it was a heat rash. We argued a bit and she still prescribed nothing. I took my son to his allergy specialist and learned that my son's rash was a bacterial infection prevalent in children especially if they are swimming in public places. We were prescribed topical ointment to clear up the rash on my son's face. I will be filing formal charges with the licensing board for HMO's because all this woman dose is take co-payments and misdiagnosed my child. I would not recommend her for your children. She will not be my son's pediatrician any longer. read more
