I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Vija at American Pediatrics. She went above and beyond for my daughter, Elsa, during a very stressful and difficult time. I have honestly never encountered a doctor who showed this level of care, compassion, and genuine concern. From the very beginning, she truly listened to both me and Elsa, took our concerns seriously, and did everything she could to help us understand what was going on with Elsa. What touched me the most was that even after Elsa was referred to a gastroenterologist, Dr. Vija continued to call and check on her. She asked me to keep her updated on Elsa's progress and wanted to make sure she was receiving the right treatment and starting to feel better. As a mother, that kind of care means more than words can express. She made me feel that Elsa was not just another patient or another referral. She genuinely cared about her well-being, and her concern felt so sincere that it reminded me of the way a mother worries about her own child. Unfortunately, it is not always common to experience this level of follow-up after a referral. Many times, once you are referred to a specialist, you feel like you are on your own. Dr. Vija was different. She continued to be there for us, and I will never forget that. So far our new pediatrician has been great. We just moved to the area. My oldest has special needs and my youngest has a similar diagnosis. Our doctor is very open minded and puts in requests that we ask for which our previous pediatrician was like pulling teeth or would always get denied because they didn't put in the request properly. Here, we haven't had that issue and we're extremely grateful! The referral specialist/department is AMAZING here so far. They are FAST and on top of things. We usually see the N.P. but have seen doctor Vijaya and Dr. Anand. They are attentive and listen to your concerns and take their time to do a good examination on your child. I am a medical provider myself and know how important it is to do a good history and examination on children. They check everything and are very thorough. I appreciate that this clinic is also close to my home and it is easy to get an appt. Even if they are full, they try to fit you in if necessary. read more

So, I am really beyond baffled with the way my son's appointment was handled today. I'd scheduled his appointment last week for his annual checkup and physical. The appointment was set for 4:00 p.m. All of the forms had been completed online before arrival. The receptionist asked for my license, insurance card and my son's vaccination record and told us to sit down. There were two families already waiting. After approximately 15/20 minutes of sitting, I went to the window to ask how long would it be before my son is seen? The girl tells me there are two families ahead of me...?!?! What the heck! The website showed there were more than one doctor at the location. I requested my son's vaccination record and left! What on earth would make this business think patients are going to sit for two hours AFTER their scheduled appointment time?!?! Not!! They are crazy as hell to think this is an acceptable practice. Dr. Wang herself is nice and efficient and our experience with her was fine. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with the billing department. We paid our copay for our daughter's visit (routine check up), only to receive a bill later for over $600!! I called the office, assuming it was a mistake that would be remedied but after finally being able to speak to someone, they said they couldn't help me and I had to speak to my insurance. I did and ended up filing a grievance. The insurance agreed I should not have to pay that amount but now they have billed me for the same amount again plus an additional bill for almost $200 for my son's strep throat visit. It is very difficult to speak to anyone in their billing department as they never answer the phone so any questions you have will not be answered. I feel like they either have very incompetent people in their office or they are dishonest in their billing procedures. read more

I stumbled upon this place by mistake, i made an appointment at a different pediatrics and came here by mistake somehow but they were still able to take me in despite not having an app. It did take a while but I appreciate the accommodation either way, they could have turned me away. The Staff is friendly, the PA is really great, and the place is clean with a small play area for kids as well. My only gripe is that it is TINY. The office space is way too small for a pediatrician. They literally do vitals and vision checks IN THE HALLWAY, the less than 6 ft wide hallway is filled with a chairs, weight/height machine etc, as people exiting have to turn side ways to squeeze by. As your child is checking their hearing and/or vision someone is exiting the exam room and literally squeezing by you practically on top of you. It makes it a little uncomfortable and leaves little privacy while getting vitals done and is just extremely inconvenient. If it wasn't for that I would give it 5 stars. read more

Now on the day if my daughter's appointment which was re-scheduled by them by the way they're saying they now don't have an active insurance for her.
