So, I am really beyond baffled with the way my son's appointment was handled today. I'd scheduled his appointment last week for his annual checkup and physical. The appointment was set for 4:00 p.m. All of the forms had been completed online before arrival. The receptionist asked for my license, insurance card and my son's vaccination record and told us to sit down. There were two families already waiting. After approximately 15/20 minutes of sitting, I went to the window to ask how long would it be before my son is seen? The girl tells me there are two families ahead of me...?!?! What the heck! The website showed there were more than one doctor at the location. I requested my son's vaccination record and left! What on earth would make this business think patients are going to sit for two hours AFTER their scheduled appointment time?!?! Not!! They are crazy as hell to think this is an acceptable practice. Dr. Wang herself is nice and efficient and our experience with her was fine. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with the billing department. We paid our copay for our daughter's visit (routine check up), only to receive a bill later for over $600!! I called the office, assuming it was a mistake that would be remedied but after finally being able to speak to someone, they said they couldn't help me and I had to speak to my insurance. I did and ended up filing a grievance. The insurance agreed I should not have to pay that amount but now they have billed me for the same amount again plus an additional bill for almost $200 for my son's strep throat visit. It is very difficult to speak to anyone in their billing department as they never answer the phone so any questions you have will not be answered. I feel like they either have very incompetent people in their office or they are dishonest in their billing procedures. read more

I stumbled upon this place by mistake, i made an appointment at a different pediatrics and came here by mistake somehow but they were still able to take me in despite not having an app. It did take a while but I appreciate the accommodation either way, they could have turned me away. The Staff is friendly, the PA is really great, and the place is clean with a small play area for kids as well. My only gripe is that it is TINY. The office space is way too small for a pediatrician. They literally do vitals and vision checks IN THE HALLWAY, the less than 6 ft wide hallway is filled with a chairs, weight/height machine etc, as people exiting have to turn side ways to squeeze by. As your child is checking their hearing and/or vision someone is exiting the exam room and literally squeezing by you practically on top of you. It makes it a little uncomfortable and leaves little privacy while getting vitals done and is just extremely inconvenient. If it wasn't for that I would give it 5 stars. read more

My son was under the care of Dr. Sushil Anand, who recommended lab work at Quest Diagnostics for some issues with his nails. After the lab work was completed, the American Pediatrics Clinic failed to follow up with us regarding the results. When I contacted Quest Diagnostics, they informed me that the results had already been sent to the American Pediatrics Clinic. I had to make several calls to the clinic before they eventually emailed me the report. However, they did not provide any explanation regarding the results. When I called the clinic to inquire about whether the results were normal, they charged me $25 for a phone consultation, claiming it was a "phone appointment." The clinic seems more focused on extracting money rather than providing ethical patient care and follow-up. It is their responsibility to inform patients about their test results without additional charges. I would not recommend American Pediatrics to anyone. Additionally, if you schedule an appointment with Dr. Sushil Anand expecting to see an MD, be aware that you may end up seeing a nurse practitioner instead. Dr. Anand rarely attends his appointments and often sends someone else in his place. read more

Absolutely horrendous customer service and follow up. Took my 2.5 year old daughter in around 10-11am due to a high fever (105F). Check in/registration and payment process was okay, wait time wasn't horrible, doctor (and his PA intern) seemed competent. Checked out my daughter and took some cotton swab samples, was told those would be sent to the lab with results in 24 hours, and I would be contacted. Called 24 hours later (next morning), and now being told that they're retesting the samples (wasn't provided the reason why, as they didn't seem to know), and that i would have results in the afternoon after lunch ~1:30pm. Called at that time and was told no results yet but they would follow up with the lab and call me back in 30 minutes (2pm). Called at 2:30pm and was told results were in, but they needed a few to pull those up and would call me back in 5. Called back 15 min. later at 2:45pm and was told that no, they actually still haven't received the results from the lab yet, and they are now expecting them the next day/tomorrow, but do not know around what time tomorrow. I proceeded to drill down and ask for more detail/information around the situation, and they just put me on hold - waited around for about 5-10min. to give them the benefit of the doubt, but seems like this is just their way of stonewalling and getting patients to go away because they are too busy to be bothered apparently. I'm concerned and need to know what I'm to do next, as my daughter still has a serious fever and her temperature has gone up again - and we need the lab results to determine what infection she's got and next steps. Staff seem nice generally but appear to be too busy and extremely confused, and therefore unhelpful. Not sure I can recommend this place. read more
