Since writing my original review, I took this doctor's advice and found a new healthcare provider…read more The difference has been remarkable. My new physician sat down with me for at least 30 minutes, listened carefully to my concerns, and made me feel as though my health actually warranted his time and attention. By comparison, my experiences with Dr. Sameer typically involved appointments lasting no more than five minutes. I am genuinely amazed by how much happier and more confident I feel with my new doctor. To anyone struggling with the American healthcare system, my advice is simple: keep looking until you find a provider who is willing to give you the time and attention you deserve. There are physicians who prioritize the quality of their care rather than taking on as many patients as possible in pursuit of greater profit. My interactions with Dr. Sameer also left me with the impression that he was socially awkward, dismissive, and difficult to communicate with. That may not bother every patient, but when someone is responsible for addressing serious health concerns, effective communication and a willingness to listen are extremely important. I am grateful that this experience ultimately pushed me to find a physician who treats me with considerably more care, patience, and respect. Thank you.

This review is for the office staff and not the doctor himself. I changed PCP's last month, when I…read morecalled for my initial appointment, I was told the soonest was a month out, I'm a diabetic and needed to be seen to receive a refill so as inconvenient as it was + having to go a full month without my medication, I decided to wait it out. Fast forward to this week, I call to confirm my appointment and I'm told they don't have one for me until May, another 5 weeks without medication. When I asked how this could have happened, the person I was talking with said they don't know, and there's nothing that could be done. The level of professionalism is seriously lacking with their appointment setter and level of care provided when speaking with someone that had a genuine concern for their own health, wasn't just disrespectful, but to brush it off as they did was more upsetting than them dropping the ball on my appointment. I hope their calls are recorded so management can pull the call and hear it for themselves. I had to call my insurance and change PCP's, my new doctors office heard what happened, seen me today and got me all squared away. If you're having issues being seen, I'd recommend trying other providers, because while I'm sure Dr. Baluyut is a fine physician, his office staff needs a serious reality check.

I explained that my insurance covers all lab work, but was told, "this office charges extra no matter what." I asked to speak with someone, and they refused. What made this worse is that Dr. Owiesy overheard everything and saw I was in pain, but said nothing-- no empathy, no support. I left feeling completely dismissed and uncared for. Patients deserve compassion and clear communication, especially when they're suffering. I would not recommend this office based on how I was treated. Azizian S.

She is an amazing doctor who totally knows what she is doing. Everyone in our family including my 10 year old adore and respect her. The staff is always patient and friendly even on their busiest days. My son who used to be scared of injections found a nurse here who gives him a shot without hurting!!

The doctor billed for a exam…read morethat he did not do (they never even removed any clothing) and sent urine samples to the lab (which I was also billed for) for tests they did not request. The prescriptions were sent to the pharmacy incorrectly even though they provided the office with the full prescription. I was told Cigna would cover these visits as preventive at 100% because it was simply a prescription refill but I was billed the full amount by this office and the lab. I attempted to correct it for 6 months and now at the risk of being sent to collections, I am just going to pay the $250 because the office manager will not change the charge to preventive (which it was) and billed for a whole new patient visit (which he was in the room less than 3 minutes). The doctor did not do any examination as was billed for and did tests that were not requested or supported by the diagnosis. In addition, the care was crappy and the wait was long. Do not go here unless you like disappointment and frustration.

Then she got my email address wrong when I tried to sign up for the patient portal. When I called back I spoke with Gwen, who was super friendly and helpful. She corrected the error right away. I arrived early for my first appointment and was taken in at a decent time but it took a while to actually see Dr. Virk. When I met him, he seemed very knowledgeable and patient with my questions and concerns. He seemed like he actually read through the thick patient intake packet I completed. He was warm and genial. He didn't seem to be in a huge rush to get me out of the door. I was pleased with my experience, and felt that the wait was worth it. When I got my lab work done, I messaged Dr. Virk but never received a response from him, only from his staff stating they had sent the message to him. When I tried to call, I left a callback number after a long wait and was never called back, though the automated message stated I was next in line. I left another message on the patient portal explaining this and my availability in trying to schedule an appointment. I did receive a call and voicemail the following morning. When I called back, I immediately received an answer and was able to schedule a phone visit within a few weeks. My previous doctor's office allowed people to schedule appointments online through their patient portal or via text, which I found helpful. I do wish this was the case with this office. I also wish I could see after visit care instructions and information on the patient portal, as I can be forgetful with verbal instructions and would like to be able to refer back on the specific directions my doctor has given. Overall, I like this office, but having a more modern way of scheduling appointments and accessing my health data would make it 5 stars.
