A very different and positive experience on my second visit. Learned this place is under new ownership and while they are still amassing stock/inventory, it felt fresh and friendly. Gone were the divisive Israeli flags that made the old place look like a crazy in a trump truck. It's a small space but they had the classics, the current trends, as well as a new gun to the roster no one else in the area had. They also were the only one out of 4 I went to recently that looked up the rare ammo I needed, gave me a decent price, and said they could get it. They completed my purchase quickly and efficiently, and provided me a vendor supplied delivery date of my item to the store. My purchase was fairly priced as well. I had a slide jam in my Glock and needed a gunsmith and was surprised to find one so close in Thousand Oaks! I used to have to drive to Camarillo for my gunsmith needs. The owner and 2 staff took a genuine interest in helping me, even as small an issue as it seemed. The guy (I'm sorry I didn't get his name) at the back counter and work bench had the jam identified and fixed in 5 minutes, and after I paid for some extra titanium pins, I was out in 15 minutes. They are a full service full product store and had an excellent selection of handguns, including single action army Uberti's, 1911s, Glocks, revolvers, and a good wall of rifles, new and used. Prices looked very good, even for the used Yellow Boy in .38 spl, which I would've bought if in .45 LC or .44-40. While I was in the store, at least 2 were taking the safety test for handgun purchases. Parking is easy with a private lot in front. This looks like my go to gun store from now. read more

These guys are true patriots here - and that is the sole reason I made the decision to purchase shotgun and 9mm glock here in March 2021. The sales experience was awesome. The guy who sold me the guns took incredible pride in highlighting the features of each piece. He was also able to go through the pros and cons of alternative products to help me make a decision. It was a five star sales experience. I returned this week to get some ammunition. I was quickly told that they aren't selling ammunition to anyone, unless you buy a gun. I advised the salesperson that I just purchased a gun from them and his response was "we've sold a lot of guns to people." As a customer that has spent $2,000 in the last 30 days, I felt really undervalued as a customer. Had I known this to be the case, I would have purchased elsewhere. Now in total transparency, there is a massive ammunition shortage, so places are limiting the quantities they sell. But it seems like an unfortunate policy for a recent (and really good) customer. read more

I've finally found "my" gun shop. In the last 5 months, I have purchased an AR lower, a 1911, three rifles, and a shotgun from them and have zero regrets. They are a small (dare I say boutique) shop that sells only high quality off-the-shelf and custom firearms. The staff is knowledgeable, honest, and friendly without being fuddy or condescending. I have decades of experience with guns, growing up around them and having served in the Army, and the staff is great at gauging the experience level of who they are talking to. I've listened to them discuss firearms with other customers with little to no experience and I am impressed with their level of patience with some of the crazy questions I've heard asked. Michah, the manager, is great to work with and the kid with the beard (sorry I forgot your name) is like the Rain Man of guns! Their accessory selection is also impressive for their size. They may not beat some of the deals that you can find on the Internet, but it doesn't hurt asking. I've gotten 5-10% off this way. read more
